I get it. It is a thin line in perception between hype and genuine passion for a project. However what you guys are doing is so far from that line it is not even a danger.

I guess my argument is this: share the passion - the exact same passion that makes you so stoked to work on this - and let the readers / investors decide. 

Does not have to be about pipeline stuff. Far better to have musings on the nature of what you are doing, the ramifications, the quandaries, the core challenges that you are chipping away at. Glimpses of the possible.

I am sure many traders make irrational judgments. I am sure you will agree many also make quite rational judgments based on the best information and insights they have at hand. I think this is where the vacuum currently is - information at hand.

For a coin and concept like Via, it is not advantageous to assume that investors automatically 'know' the progress, ramifications and results of development. I like many others was very impressed with the addition of Peter Todd to the team. Since then, there has been no exposition  - in this thread - of how this is developing. I remember a short post of yours - "when there are developments, we'll let you know" - that i read as basically shut up and stop asking questions. 

If this is really the path you are choosing -  that average readers of this thread should have faith, and not be more involved in how this is all unfolding - that's totally ok. It is your coin. I mean that, I really do. However, that's where the excitement is. That's where the juice is. Why not share that fire.

It is my read that the languishing of the market price reflects a general feeling that well, nothing much is going on with Via. And the unfortunate thing is -  i am quite sure  - this is not true.

This weak hand phrase is overused.

People exit the coin based on rational judgements.

Someone made a large rational judgement a few minutes ago.

This thread is clocking about one page a day.

Compare that to the BTCD thread with alot of active dev / investor interplay, lots of creative and interesting interactions going on.

I hold both coins.

The weak hand explanation is whistling past the  graveyard imho.

am i the only one who is seeing a GUI where the amount being teleported sits on a little pad and gets visually beamed up, like star trek, with the beaming matched to the progress until completed ...?

Seems to me the GUI is going to be really important here. It needs to strike a balance between the complexity of the teleporting going on under the hood, and the simplicity and cleanness of user experience.

A little heads up to everyone investing in anon coins:

James, i know it's a complex project with moving and interconnected parts - Instadex, teleport, the various wallet gui's, the betting aspect, the anon card, etc - is it possible for you to summarize how you see these different elements falling into place during the next month or two, sequentially?

well, i would guess the question applies to any off blockchain intermediary. wiley coyote biodev ltd wants to use 50000 btc on a nanotech push lasting 3 months and doesn't want elmer fudd labs to see the r&d expenditures, plankton wafer purchases, etc.  If it all moves through a couple coinbase wallets, how do outside eyes see it?

I was discussing the teleporting with someone and their point was that for a large corporation, doing payments through an off-blockchain intermediary like coinbase or bitpay essentially performs the same obfuscating function as teleporting. To what extent is this argument flawed?

I have been thinking about why this coin and thread are fairly fud-free so far, and realized that one must expend a meaningful amount of brainpower to understand teleporting and the associated ideas. And it's like Mark Twain said, thinking is hard work, that's why so few people do it.

Definitely free until market position is established.

I think it is a very reasonable idea if the fee is scaled with the growth of btcd value.
