The coin looks innovative. Sort of a cross between Monero and Blockchain.info with what looks like a local web-based interface. I don't know about $5. I don't speculate in pricing any more. But the coin certainly has a lot of potential. If Cryptonote coins fall by the wayside, Arbitrush coins could be the next wave. I'd rather be an early adopter than potentially miss the boat. Hyperbole aside, the coin looks good.
Ok, sounds not bad. Would like to check it out. May you give us a link? https://www.bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-NEOSMost volume's at Bittrex...looks like she's already starting to climb.

Alright, got my order in. Let's see where this goes.
BitUSD. The name alone is worth billions. And its underlying mechanics feel a lot more decentralized and free-market driven to me.
Also, NuBits may very well be an actual Ponzi. And I'm not just throwing that out there as FUD, there's legitimate discussion that NuBits' system may in fact be a form of Ponzi.

Uhh...I'm pretty sure (s)he registered that name before stealthcoin became an actual coin...the coin stole the name lol.
...you couldn't just post in the original thread about this? You needed to make ANOTHER monero thread to say this?
...you really are a monero troll in disguise, aren't you?
This thread makes me cry.

Because of nubits which is something that promises to take away the volatility of cryptos... Whatever that means...
Yeah BitSharesX made that same claim but yet each time I look on Coinmarketcap its' capitalization is swinging all over the place. No way to stop volatility of anything.. yes you can implement stability (like anti-whale measures) but volatility happens everywhere. Even currencies in developed countries can gain or lose 10 cents USD value within a 10 year period. Volatility in crypto currencies will only be lessened when you have volume in the tens of billions. BitSharesX never claimed that BTSX would be stable lol, it's BitUSD which is supposed to be stable around $1.00 per. Which it has been doing very, very well.

I think we have a winner...
I asked, if it does makes any further differnence for you to see it as a normal market behaviour or a bear raid, except the second lets you feel more as a victim.
I see nothing wrong with market manipulation (e.g., bear raid). Free market = free market, Bitcoin's greatest strength.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if BitUSD's purpose is to maintain a close value to the dollar, that's not going to happen.
That's exactly why it will happen. Unless a pizza some day becomes > $20, BitUSD's purpose is to be worth $20 for 20 BitUSD... Who gets my real dollar if I buy a bitUSD? Basically, who was smart enough to have me give them a real dollar for a digital dollar not recognized by any shops or the US government? Yes, I am being a bit of a troll, but it is also an honest question. The USD peg is only like 2 weeks old...you can't expect adoption yet...lol.

I don't use Monero or CryptoNote or anything like that, but that's a pretty ignorant assessment.
Law enforcement and the NSA absolutely have the capability to do blockchain analysis and deanonymize Bitcoin users when they put effort into it. Combined with the capability to tie Bitcoin addresses with exchanges or services like Coinbase, they very well can tie Bitcoins to your real identity if you use an exchange of some kind and don't use a mixer. This is not just theory. Read information published by blockchain analysts.
This does require other factors, like the cooperation of exchanges, or the NSA simply hacking or tapping the exchanges (and considering the Snowden leaks, that's not even remotely far fetched). In general though, if you are using Bitcoins to fund illegal shit, you can get caught purely through analysis of its blockchain.
Alternative protocols like Zerocoin and CryptoNote, assuming their implementation is perfect (and no implementation ever is), will in fact prevent such analyses and give a much stronger guarantee of anonymity.
Obviously if you don't care that the government can theoretically trace funds you send back to you (in the same way you don't care they can trace USD you send through Bank of America or what have you), then there's no reason to care about an anonymous cryptocurrency. But if you do care, then there is real value in using one. Same goes if you don't want people checking your public address to see how much of a currency you've sent or received.
Anon is cool and all and can have it's place, I'll give ya that. The problem is that it is and always will be a niche feature for a niche market. Grandma doesn't give a damn whether her bread purchase is super anonymous or not. And if you can't someday reel in Grandma/Joe Nobody with a better hook than "it's like bitcoin, but more anon!" then you won't have a prayer of seeing bitcoin-esque market caps. But hey, maybe I'm wrong, what do I know...

Lol why the fuck does Monero get so much attention on these boards? It's anonymous...so the fuck what? Anon coins are last season, no one gives a fuck. Bitcoin's anonymous enough as it is; cops aren't busting people on Silk Road because their bitcoins weren't anon enough. Do you really think being SUPER anonymous is enough to get the masses flocking to XMR?? Give me a fucking break. What a stupid fucking coin for this board to give so much attention to...damn.

BitsharesX is not like any other crypto, you obv. have no clue what you are talking about. And it comes out! We are all stupid because we have questioned the base risk of the whole bitshares system! When there was a 50% drop bitusd was at 0.79 and when there is a 500% drop, what then? lol @ > 100% drop being mathematically possible
Lol this is an interesting thread...
I disagree we need MOAR BITSHAREZ threads! The only Bitshares threads there have been were being hate-bumped by you, TaunSew, and Spoetnik. They have their own forum for a reason.

The price drop is a perfectly natural 50% correction after a phase of hype and has already consolidated around 6-7000. Buy now or cry later. Also BTSX has not been spammed here whatsoever, in fact there's hardly any talk of it at all. You wanna see altcoin spam look no further than Monero.

lol epic pump guys. Gratz.
