For bitcoin to become a popular payment method according to my understanding bitcoin it self should be improved and developed by targeting those objectives you have mentioned because to become a good payment method among payers they should have the confidence to trust bitcoin over other major fiat currencies or cryptocurrencies and so far dollar is know as the common currency to pay for any international payment so if bitcoin to take that place it should be improved and develop more than the dollar

We see more panic sellers during a little market drop and a false rumor or a news due to lack of understanding bout the crypto market and some are doing this because they don't have patience because most people are not wealthy once in this market so they are afraid to loose there money at once so if there is a little drop in the market price there main idea is to protect the rest of the investment so they do panic selling and other benefits from those situations 

Of course many negative trends occurred during last couple of years in the Bitcoin market due to fear among investors and traders who were doing transactions using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and in those times even cryptocurrencies as money and as investment assets were doing fine price felt in a high rate without a reason making many loose there profits and dreams. So fear definitely dominates the market 

Bitcoin does use some energy during the mining process and I agree with that but that is a necessary cost to spend when we want to do a better transaction without any problem or interruption unlike other systems or sources. Also we see more and more sustainable mining methods are invented very often so I don't think this issue will be any more in the near future and Bitcoin will consume less energy than ever soon 

I think it will reduce the environmental damage if it is implemented in every where because the current systems make more environmental damage than Bitcoin and it is the main reason why Bitcoin was invented to make a more sustainable system to do transactions without any obstacles or barriers but with high efficiency and security and it does the job very fine at the moment so I think it is environmentally friendly 

Governments were against Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies from the beginning mainly because its decentralized nature and now no matter how potential Bitcoin is seems they only point and show the bad side of it which is a great thread to the future of Bitcoin and its progress and due to that many investors who are new to the industry afraid to invest in Bitcoin and holders who posses a certain amount are trying to leave by selling them which is a bad situation   

I hope every country would think like your country and specially my country because in my country politicians are already making arrangements directly and indirectly to make restrictions against using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies without any reason and the central bank has already announce citizens regarding the matter which makes us in a really bad situation but I hope at least the majority of countries in the world see the bright side of Bitcoin so other will too follow there path to gain profits

Yeah in many threads I have seen some people who says Bitcoin is not going to survive in the future but they haven't clearly understand about the developing digitize world and its place and the demand for Bitcoin as a currency and as a trading asset both. World businesses and many common functions are digitizing today but Bitcoin gave digitizing concept a new meaning by proving the first decentralized currency to help anyone who are willing to make barrier less payments

Bitcoin will never die if it has our and the support of others and the only way to promote, develop and expand BItcoin into the world is to help it to face political barriers which is the most difficult thing to do than anything right now and without those obstacles Bitcoin can achieve to its full potential in the world and even today with considerable negative impacts Bitcoin becoming stronger but in a slow rate and I hope withing few period of time Bitcoin price will increase for a considerable level and unlike other times we could see a well established price level for Bitcoin but these things will happen only if political, social and business areas act in favor to cryptocurrency world and at least today situation is acceptable because still we don't see any political decision has made enough to make huge negative impact on the crpto market so I hope if this situation continues the market would be much better during end of this year

Some say that and they have reasons to mentioned but I don't agree fully  with that because Bitcoin price did drop during this year but it doesn't mean that it is crashing because price fluctuations are common for any trading asset and it can happen with or without a fault with the asset in Bitcoin this was actually happened because the pressure it got from the outside world and Investors were uncertain but even those situations Bitcoin surviving skills are impressive

True Bitcoin seems like the biggest crash in the history when you look from the outside because Bitcoin price dropped and that is why many say that but it is recovering perfectly so definitely it will reach to it's correct price in the future but it might take a while to happen that and the only thing it needs is more time so traders should be more patient in these days     

Best way to protect wallet is fully understand guidelines which gives during the creation of wallets and follow them completely and avoid phishing sites always by staying alert because unlike the real world when something happens in the digital world there is no centralized authority to complain regarding the matter so the victim become helpless in every situation when something like that happens     

Bitcoin ban is very unlikely to be happen because people and governments attitude towards digital or virtual currencies are changing rapidly because they are understanding the advantages that can gain by using Bitcoin or other crypto currencies to there advantage for better effectiveness and deficiency 

There is a major reason for government to announce Bitcoin is illegal that is because it is not under any government authority or influence and it is known as an asst not under control and no legitimate statue and that is the main reason such announcements are made by governments against Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency world to stop expanding further locally and internationally 

We are living in a digital world today and that is why Bitcoin is becoming more popular and getting stronger day by day and there is a huge progress in adapting into businesses specially in this year we can see that is happening which expanding Bitcoin more into the financial and economical fields in the world so in the future things will be much different than today

Nothing collateral can be expect behind a Bitcoin investment or a purchase because unlike a bank load or a property investment the only thing you will have after a Bitcoin investment is some curencies for the amount you used to bought and also there will be no once to guarantee  you safety except you which is unlike how normal centralized financial corporations work in the real world 

According to the market today I do purchasing more  and avoid selling because the market is down nothing profitable can be gain by making a crypto sell because I have no idea much about short term trading but I have seen some traders make huge income through short term trading so it is up to the person to decide what to do according to the market situation
