141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most anonymous coin? on: March 28, 2014, 07:21:19 PM
With the irs intervening in crypto currency does anyone else think a anonymous coin will be left a top contender in the long run?  I'm sure some people will register and file their earning, mostly top earners.  Though lots of people have minimal earnings and are likely fairly "poor" to begin with and will want to avoid this.  Lets avoid the "this is tax evasion and breaking the law" conversation please, especially since we are are all aware of how silk road played into bit coins role.  Also what do you feel is currently the most anonymous coin?  The only one I really seen was tips with the first coin mixing but im sure their is more.

ZeroCoin will be probably released in future. And here is another one this looks to be already working: https://cryptonote.org/inside.php

Dear DStrange and abit2slo!
Thank you for this topic.
This coin has an ugly interface but is very intresting as a technology.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zerocoin - has it's time come? on: March 28, 2014, 04:50:06 PM
Zerocoin offers real anonymity - which we all of a sudden really need.

Anyone have any idea if the devs will add it any time soon (or ever?)

Hi!

I really don't know about Zerocoin. But there is a coin that probably implements a real anonymity already. I can't proove they are 100% correct from the mathematical point of view but they provide a very thorough paper (see bytecoin.org) and a working (and even running already) implementation.

There is a number of issues I consider to be obscure regarding this coin: name, launch data (June 2012), very strange site, no developers available on bitcointalk.org, ... But in case this coin is really anonymous it is worth close attention. And a comparison with Zerocoin could be very interesting.

All known details are here (thank's for DStrange): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.0

UPD: They have a cool site explaining things a little bit: https://cryptonote.org/inside.php

Doesn't work on my asus vivotab 8.
On desktop gives slightly higher hashrate than "official" miner.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [idea] a new altcoin (without actual own coins inside) to "federate" on: March 26, 2014, 08:08:18 AM
another market exchange freeze in cold out of there.
while I am totally supportive for services like Vircurex, and I truly hope things will get fixed in no time... it seems clear to me that "strictly centric" (so far i know, there's no p2p way to exchange altcoin with only their money value) thrown away a bit of it's natural spirit.

p2p exchange is possible but need heavy nodes storing all blockchains involved

-Secret messages left in blockchain.
Cool. Can you show some examples of messages and the method to decrypt them from blockchain?
Probably this will explain all other questions.

No. They are secret. I am going by what is listed on the public website.

This post?
Looks like a joke.

Giveaway still goes on!

Thank you!
Just got these free coins:

Code:
2014-Mar-15 17:53:05.929033 Received money: 6.00000000, with tx: <6dd418cd4414f3884fd1797de47b52bf98ca4d371e98643f2d366e0510d7d9bd>
2014-Mar-15 17:53:05.930084 Received money: 200.00000000, with tx: <6dd418cd4414f3884fd1797de47b52bf98ca4d371e98643f2d366e0510d7d9bd>
2014-Mar-15 17:53:05.931137 Received money: 10000.00000000, with tx: <6dd418cd4414f3884fd1797de47b52bf98ca4d371e98643f2d366e0510d7d9bd>
Refresh done, blocks received: 57
balance: 10206.00000000, unlocked balance: 0.00000000

Anybody knows why single transaction is splitted into several outputs sent to one person?
This should increase tx size. What's the point? Ans is this necessary?

Why "unlocked balance" is still zero? Wink)))
After several "refresh" commands it became correct:
Code:
balance: 10206.00000000, unlocked balance: 10206.00000000
