Well, it's been a long time since I've poked my head in. I haven't been able to be as on-point as I used to, there's been some big changes in my life. I've been working on a few other projects, though, some of which got completely raped by some of the crazy crap going on with GAW. Pretty sad to see this die, but my schedule has been cleared out for the most part, if you guys are looking to hire someone to get it updated, I've got the knowledge and the tools, and hopefully still a decent reputation  Do let me know. I vote for Edric. He's: A) been here since the VERY beginning B) has developed the ONLY apps for octocoin thus far C) is VERY transparent Edric, if you can get us back up and trading on Bittrex, you'd be the saviour of this coin, and I think we'd all be happy to call you the lead dev. Unfortunately there's no getting back the original pre-mine from the scammer *cough*, but we can build up a new fund that's at least equal to the pre-mine for you i'm sure. The pre mine was only like 600,000+ octocoin, i think we can raise more than that. the only deal is that you can't form some sort of shadow "secret club" and make up a lot of bullshit and lie to us, and try to scam us. k? just be answerable to the community and you'll be treated as a god. and on a personal note, if you do take over, please leave the majority of your personal adventures on the wayside, you have a gift of the gab when it comes to telling cool stories, but i think we need some straight-talk express with this coin. i mean, the moment it reopens on bittrex there will be a huge dump, but we have to get it back on before it's permanently delisted. that's priority #1, and it's an attainable goal. it would be great if Edric and the community actually had a plan to get this coin back on track, but what was the track? getting crypto from basements to skyscrapers? right, we need something a tad less hyperbolic, an attainable goal. IMO we need to play to our stregnths, having an "888" ticker is VERY LUCKY to certain people, these are the markets we need to focus on, frankly we need a secondary dev that's as honest and transparent as Edric is, who speaks chinese, and understands the chinese markets, and how to market towards them. but nothing can happen while the coin is still broken. if you wanna step up and make it happen Edric, i don't think anyone here would second guess your ascending the throne. take what's on github and do what you can. fuck anyone else that says they have a different claim, as far as i'm concerned, they're crooks, and i'll back you %100 I agree, the longer we just sit and wait, the harder it will get! |

Agree 100% here with djslick! If the devs were legit, why not write in this forum what was wrong and what had happened??
I have invested in Nautiluscoin too, and I am much more calm in regards to Brian Kelly and what he is trying to do, as he has done alot of work and thoughts on "his" coin. I think if people here in the 888 community got some knowledge instead of being called childish and so on, then there wouldnīt be all this! I am not rich either so it would have been nice to get some info on plans and setbacks etc. The word scammers comes to mind to people in here, because of lack of giving us something to believe in, which is the devs responsibility as I see it.
I said it before and I will say it again, as soon as this gets on bittrex again (if ever) I am out with my 500k, maybe just maybe I will keep 100k, just to see if by any chance it could get reversed and something good could happen.
What bholzer wrote, did not secure my thoughts of this coin being a good investment, thereīs a reason people in here are very sceptical and the lack of interest in us, the investors, from the devs are imo. what has driven most people to react like they/I do now:(
And of course for the record, death threats or any threats are not cool but i understand why people are frustrated though!

As I've been extremely busy lately, I have been avoiding the recent drama/nonsense in here. The more it spiraled, the less sufficient my intended responses would become. It's easy to see why it remains so difficult for the rest of the world to take crypto-currency seriously. I haven't read through the majority but I have received a number of reports. As laughable (and downright senseless) as this may have become, I have chosen to get my attorney and the authorities involved in some capacity.
Hey bholzer, good to see you're still with us, even if it is in a 'sick of this crap' capacity.
Can you understand why those not 'in the know' might be frustrated? It's certainly no cause to be accusatory but the frustration has lead to predictable investigation, and when something is reasonably suggested (regardless of it's true legitimacy) the wisest option might have been to communicate (from anyone in the know).
Why my involvement with OctoCoin and my recent (not even secretive) collaboration to help save the project (and my large investment in it) is grounds for cyber stalking, harassment, and childish character assassination is beyond me... but that is the logic we are unfortunately dealing with. If there is one thing crypto people have proven time and time again, it's that they're great at tearing things down.
What is/was your 'not even secretive' collaboration? I (and I don't think many others) were even aware of a problem other than the double spend issue at Bittrex. If the coin has been suffering wider issues (other than the lack of progress) they are still relatively secretive. The Devs posts allude to work needing to be done and it being difficult but and no point have they suggested they may need help. If you were aware of their need for help that puts you in a privileged position while everyone else just twiddles their thumbs.
To be fair to 'crypto people' in the case of OctoCoin there is very little to tear down as of yet. The double spend was not as a result of the community but coding. The frustration people have faced obviously manifests differently, some get angry/ranty/accusatory others despair/give up and others seek answers. With any grouping of people on the internet there will be people who take an immature approach (ever seen youtube, twitter or facebook?)
So roll up your "Jump to Conclusions" mats because statements will be made soon. Bad timing for everything but I suppose it's time to reevaluate things. For those in the know, I still intend to follow through on my part of everything while doing whatever possible to separate myself, my family, and my ventures (both crypto-related and otherwise) from this forum and most (certainly not all) of the people in this thread. This is nuts, guys. What a bummer this has degraded into.
Nothing is really in the public domain other than 1) the devs have not communicated since their last update circa 6 weeks ago and 2) the coin has been disabled on Bittrex and the devs hadn't contacted Richie. There is no information for anyone to work with. Other than you and the Devs who else is "in the know"? And what was the requirement to be so? Because everyone here regardless of scale was an investor and kinda deserved to know what was going on, not just a handful of investors. if the coin was struggling letting us know would have given the opportunity to help out. I'm not suggesting it was your call to make, just that whoever made the call could have made it better :-(

Lack of updates is what's frustrating me.
we appear to be at a stalemate with really low volume which means to me that the market is reacting to whats going on with this coin (nothing).
my confidence is dropping and so is the price and volume.
How can we promote a coin as a community when
a)the blockchain does not run smoothly (we are all aware of these issues)
b)we dont know when POS is coming or any of the details for that matter
c)theres no clear road map as to where Naut is going ( i know it "may" be detailed in BK's book) BUT we dont know about that either )
Im not trying to spread FUD but i know alot of you feel the same way.
Whats the incentive to hold naut because this stuff is not appealing to new investors or any investors for that matter.
Is Bk going to use his Profile to promote naut some more or has he had enough of that too, i seem to remember some promotion on podcasts and articles stuff like that now there is nothing.
Again im not trying to be negative but this is the reality of the situation.

Had high hopes too about this coin, thinking about dumping 100k of mine if I can of course, but not for 400 though. I will follow this thread the next couple of weeks. I hope for the best as I really didnīt want to dump any but see it to the end, and hoped it would go to 50cents-1$.
I have some Nautilus coins too which I think could be a good coin. Basically all coins are taking a hit right now it seems :/
But I must say that like u guys, I am missing hearing from the devs, in the Naut community BK is very active about his plans and keeping up to date with Q&Aīs in there, which I think is really good, if people arenīt sure about the coin they have invested in. Or else people are gonna dump like crazy and would be the end of octo if there isnt any assurance of plans and what not!

Yea I have quite abit octocoins too, and I really would like those devs to be more active in their threads and letting us now their plans etc. I like how u (BK) are very active in this thread and letting us now whats up and especially now when some people arent certain if they want to support Naut! And I agree with the guy who wrote about being positive and negative over things that have happened, which we cant do anything about. I think its okay for people to be affraid that they will lose their investment and they want to get some news and get answers to their questions, but constantly being negative wont help any of us. Either u take the chance on this or u donīt and u get out, simple as that And again I like BK updating and taking part in this thread, answering questions etc. I think even with this uncertainty now and people panic-selling I will stay for the long haul and either crash and burn or go to the moon |

Hi, hope there are some of u wise people in here who can help me:) I wanted to transfer some sexcoins to Coinex, but it is not in their database and in my wallet says unconfirmed, it should be the latest wallet I have, so donīt know why it canīt transfer to the address at coinex:( It has been like this all day now, if just this wallet had the same reset like the new multibit so I could at least go back, or if someone could explain to me why it wont sync or transfer, this is getting frustrated as I donīt have any problems with my other currencies but just this one:/ Kind of a noob so be gentle Andy |
