141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: January 23, 2024, 08:54:53 PM
Yesterday was trying to place bet and during the process something in me keeps telling me to increase your wager do you know if you would hit something you never won before.. I was like is this how other people are being controlled by gambling or is it how it works? I said, no wonder some people gamble and finishes their allocation for the week or month. This can even lead someone to also go borrow if this feeling is not killed and stop, you can also see that this attributes in gambling addiction.

However, have you had this feeling while gambling before be it offline casino and online casinos?
Every gambler deal with this problem. It’s not a feeling that can be “killed”, and if you have been gambling for years, you would know that the thought never goes away. It’s a feeling that you have to control, most times this voice comes when you are about to place a bet that you’re very confident about. It can only take self control to overcome such temptations of a bigger win. As a gambler, it’s vital that you have a fixed amount you’re comfortable playing with for the day,week/month and make it a priority not to exceed that limit.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 23, 2024, 07:00:31 PM
The Super Eagles are playing average football but they are getting the results. They have not given us the confidence that they can go all the way to winning the title. So far, only a handful of the players have impressed me. The other players have not displayed the skill and stamina needed to play African football. Victor Osimhen gets chances and he throws them away, the Osimhen at Napoli would have scored those goals yesterday but the Osimhen at the AFCON is shooting wide. I think it’s time for José Peseiro to trust his other strikers.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 22, 2024, 11:33:08 PM

The interesting thing about this is that Nigeria can go into the knockout and single-eliminatuon stages and win with flying colors when you least expect them to. I have been talking about it but someone on this thread said we're just being negative but in hindsight, Nigeria has only gotten to the knockout phase by the grace of God. Nothing more. Zero tactics, very terrible game plays have been core attributes of Nigeria's journey in the 2023 Afcon.

Well, that's not the main talking point for today. Egypt qualification and Ghana going back home + Ivory Cost thumping earlier today is.
Undoubtedly, the Super Eagles are the luckiest team in the AFCON. Their performance is not the best and yet they have managed to scale through to the next round. My fear is that luck/grace does not guarantee success in these competitions, we have to be prepared for the next round. Most of the countries in Africa do not have star players, but what they do have is a team. Nigeria do not play as a team and it’s very obvious.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saudi Arabia 1M BTC BUY !! on: January 22, 2024, 10:38:19 PM
I haven’t heard any rumour of this happening. It would help if you added a links to articles where it was published. Still, I wouldn’t put it past the Saudis government, they are very prudent with money. In the last few years, they have invested heavily in sports - football and boxing. And have brought major attractions to their country. The only challenge I can think of is their religious belief, I read somewhere that it’s frowned upon for a Muslim to own Bitcoin.

Some people are displeased with the officiating today, mainly because the referee was a woman. What’s wrong with a female officiating men football? If we are to be honest, all the calls were spot on. There is no reason for us to believe that there was a robbery. The Nigerian disallowed goal was spot on, also the handball in the box was not a penalty. The ball struck the arm of the defender but he was too close and couldn’t remove his hand, and according to FIFA rules, that’s not a penalty. History was made today, we shouldn’t take that away from her.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 22, 2024, 08:15:42 PM
Who could have imagine big teams would be struggling against small sides in this competition? We expect a lot from the biggest player in the squad and it hardly happens in African football. For Victor Osimhen, Nigeria expects to see him replicate his beautiful performances in Napoli for his country, he’s the African Player of the year and he should be scoring a lot of goals. He’s got 10 goals in the qualifiers and so far he’s been able to score only one goal in the tournament. It’s disappointing to now see him falter in front of goal. He gets the chances but he’s not been able to convert them. Victor Osimhen is not alone in this regard, Salah also hasn’t excelled in the African scene.

Right now, the most important thing for me is that the Super Eagles have qualified to the next round.

148  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin holder’s are facing a lot from Nigeria Yahoo’s boy’s on: January 21, 2024, 07:12:30 PM
OP you shouldn’t disclose to anyone that you are into bitcoin trading or a bitcoin investor. Even though Nigeria has  changed their negative stance on bitcoin, there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of sensitizing the public and security personnels that Bitcoin is not illegal neither is it used by only scammers. I think you were too hasty to tell the officer about your bitcoin activity, you could have told him you’re a student and show him your id.

BTW this topic belongs to the Nigerian local board.
149  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit unfairly made me forfeit my withdrawals on: January 20, 2024, 09:02:33 PM
For someone who’s been gambling on Rollbit casino for two years, you’re quick to call them scammers when the casino’s policy are not working for you. AFAIK Rollbit has a strong policy against the use of multiple accounts, you probably too eager to get back on the wining horse and didn’t think much about it since you could no longer access your previous account. I suggest you keep talking to customer support and try to find a solution to your issue. Good thing @Rollbit Razer responds to these threads. Let’s see what he has to say on this.

Life don teach me say e dey better to face your problems head on no matter how them tough reach. If you say the pressure too much so you won dey shayo to forget your troubles, nor forget say alcohol na only temporary solution wey dey cause long term damage. When the going don too tough, na that be the time wey you need to fall on family and friends for support and guidance. Talk to your people nor tell your problems to a bottle. Indeed the AFCON is full of surprises, I honestly have not been able to predict any game accurately since the competition started. The small sides are showing they can be a problem for the bigger teams. I wonder how the betting public are doing. I think the percentage of gamblers that have won their bets on AFCON games this year will be affected by the current state of the tournament. Overall, there hasn’t been a lot of action so far, there hasn’t been a lot of goals in the tournament, a safe bet would be to stake a under 2.5 goals.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Denying yourself comfortability in other to buy Bitcoin on: January 20, 2024, 06:44:40 PM
You don’t have to live in discomfort or deny yourself life’s pleasures just because you want to own bitcoin. Maybe it’s a matter of preference, for me I wouldn’t want to live in an unfurnished house because of I’m saving money to buy bitcoin. There are other things I can cut off like eating out, morning coffee and clubbing. I wouldn’t mind doing any of those but living in an apartment with just a tv and little or no furniture is a no for me.

It will be a lot easier to help you if you tell us what part of the forum you find confusing. We were all newbies once and shared the same difficulty in our early days. I believe the forum software is very different from what many newbies are used to on other platforms hence the confusion. I’d advise you to take your time to read the sticky threads and other guides on this board. As a newbie, your area of concentration should be Beginners and help board, you will learn a lot faster if you take one board at a time.

Senegal 2-0 Cameroon
This game from the beginning was very exciting and entertaining, with Senegal continuously proving why they were the champions the last time at every given point of the game. It's not like Cameroon are not applying pressure but it's sad to note that they are yet to get a shot on target since the game started.
Right now, the Indomitable lions of Cameroon are being dominated by the Taranga lions of Senegal and the home side is doing it without apologies, leading by two goals, I don't see Cameroon coming back from this.
The match wasn’t exciting for the first half, the first 45minutes started really slowly and was boring, but the game finally kickstarted in the second half. The game in total had 4 shots on target, Senegal had three shots on target and found the back of the net each time. To be honest, Sensgal didn’t play very good football but they were clinical in front of goal and that is what matters.

Congratulations on your new rank. It has been a while I’ve seen one of these kind of threads. Ideally, you should have posted your self congratulatory message here. I would have suggested you move your topic to reputation board but I also see reasons why you might want to leave it here in Beginners & Help. The match between Egypt and Ghana ended in 2:2 draw with Mohammed Kudus scoring a brace for the black stars of Ghana. Ghana really dominated this match but their defense was too porous thereby granting the Egyptians access to equalize the goal each time Ghana scores. This AFCON competition is really getting more tensed and tough as some stronger countries in the competition met each other today. Earlier today, Ivory Coast played against the super eagles of Nigeria and the match ended 0 - 1 in favour of Nigeria.
It was a very tight game. The first goal by Mohammed Kudus goal came out of nowhere and gave Ghana the momentum they needed in the first half. In my opinion, Ghana looked more dangerous in the game than Egypt. Unfortunately for Egypt, Mo Salah was unable to play because of injury. Having Salah on the pitch would have made the difference for the team to win the match. It’s going to be difficult for Egypt to navigate through the tournament without Mo Salah.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 18, 2024, 08:02:55 PM
This game exposed how poorly the super eagles are playing in the AFCON. Our strikers are so so weak, more work needs to be done on the attacking side. Z. Sanusi was quite impressive in the first half before he fizzled out in the second half. Our star player, Victor Osimhen was given Man of the match, but for me I think Troost-Ekong should have been given the Man of the match. He scored the winning goal, so why not him?

There is nothing impressive about this match honestly. Nigeria is not supposed to win by one goal in this match. Many fans from all over the world expect Nigeria to have won by 2 or more goals. I am very confused till now why Nigeria would be so weak to the extend of winning the match by a small chance. I even see the goal as a luck because Nigeria is a big country with a great team, why would they have to win by slightest chances.

Congratulations to the Super Eagles, I was worried about this game. My heart proved to right after all. To be honest we were not the better team in the game, thank God we got a penalty and held on to our advantage. Even though I am relieved that we won, this victory is a lucky win and does not impress me at all. The Super Eagles need to improve their style of play because this performance will not take us very far in the competition.
