141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the least risky gambling game at online casinos? on: April 26, 2024, 06:00:35 AM
They're all going to eat your money no matter which slot you play. Sure, you will have a decent win now and then, but the house always wins. What you need to ask is what games are enjoyable while I lose my money? Personally I like Mighty munching melons lately.
I first started with sport gambling when I was very new to gambling many years ago. I prefer sport because you can be able to analyze a match before it started. I was thinking my analysis would help me make money. I may win and lose but what I realized was that I lost than won. The gambling site always win my money than I am winning from them. Later when I know that there is nothing good about those analysis and prediction sites, I started to bet on casinos also but I was unable to win than lose. Fun should the reason we should be gambling and not money making.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blogs and Forums. Additional Features in Online Casinos on: April 25, 2024, 11:18:18 PM
Although I want a casino where it is possible to have some kind of social interaction between me and other gamblers, not just in my region but also aside, so that we can share ideas and other forms of the games that we share an interest in, if I see such a casino with those features, I won't allow it to blind me to check on other things, but I will really give it a try as it's another means to attract and keep customers.
What I can like social interaction for is if I have problem, I will be able to ask about it on the social feature of the gambling site but since I have been gambling on gambling sites, the sites are easy and not too technical to ask a question about. The problem I have can not be solved by other people except the customer care of the gambling site and that makes something like that to be useless for me. I prefer to only be gambling on the gambling site.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beyond Wagering on: April 25, 2024, 09:41:12 PM
That makes you not to be a fan of the game then, and you only follow the game when you have a bet staked, any ways there are ways that you may be getting notifications from those football score sites such as livescores and a few of the others so even when you are not betting you may have to follow up to keep up-to-date.
That is what I noticed. I do that most when I want to bet on matches. If my favorite clubs are playing, it will not come to my mind about what they want to play at all. But sometimes you will know that a club would win and they will not disappoint.

This will help you to make better decisions and choices when you are about to select your games to bet, that is what make football the most popular bets among gambler's because of the readily available information about teams, clubs, and player's.
According to 2021 report, people spend most on casinos.

Quote
The most popular forms of online gambling around the world are sports betting and online casinos, with the global sports betting market said to be worth almost $203 billion, and the online casino industry at around $270 billion.

145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone you introduced to BTC says the risks of her funds is on you on: April 25, 2024, 09:22:00 PM
Dear fellas, please I needed to know how you would feel if you were in my position basically where she said I would refund her if her funds gets lost becasue you recommended and introduced her to the system.
If and only if she accepts that if she gains, I will take all the profit.

It can even be 50:50. I mean if she lose, I will give her 50% of her loss back but if she make profit she will give me 50% of her profit.

But what I have told people that say something like this is that they should not invest if they can not take the risk.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beyond Wagering on: April 25, 2024, 09:05:41 PM
One habit I picked up is trying to predict the correct scores of matches even if I did not bet on them. I see a match and subconsciously try to figure out who will come out on top, what the score will be, which players are most likely to score and other possibilities. But this could be down to my passion for the sports and not gambling.
It was a passion for gambling for me. I noticed that if I am not gambling, I may not check the score sites to know the clubs that are playing matches. But if I want to gamble on sport, I will check score sites and from there I can analyze and guess who would win a match. But some people that are not gamblers just like to do such prediction when common clubs in leagues like premier league are playing. I agree with what you said.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Inflation Necessary on: April 25, 2024, 08:52:39 PM
Maybe the government are trying but keeping the inflation away may just be unavoidable. Some policies may sound good, but on implementation may not provide the required results.
For a country not to have inflation is not good, it is people that should know that they should not save money in fiat because government will always devalue it for their own benefit. It is not mandatory to have your money in fiat. You can invest it or use it for business. If a country do not want to have inflation, the economy of the country may collapse.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Inflation Necessary on: April 25, 2024, 08:36:34 PM
But is inflation needed? Why can't we just keep the currency at the same value?
The government will not want their foreign reserve to deplete and finish. That is why they will prefer to manipulate and devalue their own local currency.

And why does it only happen to money? For example, the same wouldn't happen if we used gold as a currency instead.
It can not affect gold because the government do not have control over gold price.

Is inflation a ploy that the government uses so people don't get rich off of savings?
Yes, people should know that fiat do not have value. The value in fiat is when you use it for something like business or investment.

152  Other / Meta / Topics on reputation board should not have lock feature on: April 25, 2024, 12:16:17 PM
I saw a new topic today on reputation board about Little Mouse. I saw the accusation as false. I wanted to post there but the thread has been locked by the person that posted the topic. The person has also been trolling on MetaWin campaign recently.

Some newbies or someone may just read that his post and think what he posted is the truth about a campaign manager but which is not true. Why should a topic be locked on reputation board? It is about this forum members. Discussion there should be left unlock. Only pinned thread should be locked if need be.

I am referring to this topic: Do not trust @LittleMouse as he is a Liar, a signature spammer and false accuser
153  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: April 24, 2024, 05:18:12 PM
You are right about litecoin, but Ethereum transaction fee is also high, litecoin can help reduce the much delay in payment confirmation. For me it would be better he pays with usdt-trc20 this another cheapest means to send out payment maybe after 1-3 weeks when the network congestion may have reduced then he could start paying back with bitcoin as usual I think this suggestions has been made before we don't need to stress over this anymore I believe the manager knows what to do at this moment. The only thing it would cost him is just to moved the topic to altcoin service section, maybe when we gets back to Bitcoin he may then move it back to where it's now.
Ethereum token transaction can be very high but ethereum transaction is not high. You can try and use ethereum to make transaction and see that it is not that high. But litecoin transaction is far more lower than ethereum transaction.

And even now, the mempool congestion is going down.

This is the current state of the mempool. So probably your next week pay, everything might stabilized. I wish you guys all the best.
This is just about luck. The day after halving it is fell to 75 sat/vbyte but I saw it over 200 sat/vbyte the following day. Let us expect it to drop and see what will happen.

I am still surprised that most of you people do not want to use lightning network. Or just accept biweekly pay.
154  Economy / Reputation / Re: Happy to be back! on: April 24, 2024, 03:20:52 PM
I’m assuming that his account might possibly ban when it was hacked that’s why he post here. Using the reputation board to discuss for personal matter like this is just introduced few years ago (correct me here) during the time when @yahoo share his health issue. But reputation board mainly use for trust issue and sort.

I’m not 100% about this since we don’t know what era is this user was active before.
He can post on meta board to seek for his account recovery but he used it for introduction instead which makes me point to beginners and help. Xal0lex has made it better for such post to be on this thread and I think he is interested to help him recover his account if he can prove that he is the owner.
155  Economy / Reputation / Re: Happy to be back! on: April 24, 2024, 03:07:16 PM
You are an old member that have just registered again but you did not know what meta is during your former days on this forum. Meta is still used for discussion that is pertaining to this forum and not about yourself or someone. If you want to discuss about a member or yourself, go to reputation board to discuss it. But even you can just introduce yourself in beginners & help because you have no reputation yet with you new account.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need 20 Testers For OX Wallet Android on: April 24, 2024, 11:25:18 AM
Is the testnet supported? If so, i have about the same remark as _act_: if you pay in BTC and escrow the funds, i'd be more than happy to testdrive your wallet using tBTC. I have a couple old android phones laying around where i can mess with new apps without to much risk.
He posted this on the wrong board. I think he is referring to an altcoin called oxch.

@oxchanger, can you tell us the coin that you are referring to. Is it bitcoin or an altcoin or it is a wallet that will support many coins?

You can move your post to service board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need 20 Testers For OX Wallet Android on: April 24, 2024, 11:06:28 AM
I can be one of the people that can test and review the wallet for you. But I will prefer to be paid in bitcoin, ether litecoin, binance coin or stable coin.

I will prefer you to give me the money first before testing but which can be a poor suggestion to you. If it is not a good suggestion to you, you can get an escrow on this forum which can serve as intermediary between us.

Know that any fee required by the escrow will all be paid by you and not from my money.

I will charge $100 for the review but I am open to dialogue.
158  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Decentralized exchanges with lightning network on: April 24, 2024, 09:09:49 AM
Thank you all for your replies. The replies are highly helpful for me.

OP, how frequent do you want to perform trading? If it's just once or twice, LN doesn't bring much benefit since you need to pay on-chain TX fee when opening and closing LN channel.
I use the lightning network that has their own channel which means I do not need to open a channel. I know it is custodial but what you said is one of the reasons that I do not open a channel for myself.

But recently I have come to think of it that if I open a channel on wallet like Electrum and I funded it, I mean with two Electrum wallet to open the channel, I think I should be able to send money to another person that did not open a channel with me. If it is like that, I do receive money frequently on my centralized exchanges accounts through on-chain and I can send bitcoin to my lightning wallet or the decentralized exchange (in exchange  for fiat) using the centralized exchange lightning network. Or with that I can also send bitcoin from my lightning wallet to decentralized exchange in exchange for fiat.

I am planing this because the government in my country is getting harsh against cryptocurrencies recently. They have taken down Binance P2P already for my local currency pair and I am hearing the rumor that they may they may go after other exchanges soon which will make us to depend on decentralized exchanges but I can not cope with the transaction fee.
159  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance app is no longer available in Philippines. on: April 24, 2024, 12:30:36 AM
Also, I'm assuming if you're a local who managed to install the app before the removal or through other means, then, it will still work, no? -- without altering IP
I read in news that those that have the app already were still able to access the exchanges in India. Also as Nigeria blocked the websites of the exchanges, they can access it through the app. I think those in Philippine that has the app already will still be able to access it.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin is fungible? on: April 23, 2024, 11:42:17 AM
Fungibility by law means a commodity or a product that is replaceable by another item similar to the commodity or product. Bitcoin is fungible and can be bought. Bitcoin has all the characteristics of what we can described as fungible. This should not be about tainted coin or comparing it with monero. This should not even be a matter of argument.
