For all of the community members who are currently holding $UBQ, be sure to make your claim for the $ESCH Airdrop #3. There are only a few days remaining to make your claim. Escher will be issued at a ratio of 3:1 for every $UBQ held in your claim address at the time of the final block. Signaling your claim doesn't use up your $UBQ balance, only a small amount is required to pay the transaction fee. All of the information is available on the Escher governance page below. Don't delay, make your claim today! Help shape the future of the Ubiq Network through governance voting. https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1054775211151699968

Weifa, there's a question to you and the Geo community - how would you describe the list of general Geo competitors?
Who's the most strong and having a good potentioal in the world of GIS&Crypto technolgies in your opinion?
P.S. Have just requested worldcoinindex.com to correct the number of Geo coins, I wonder if they will react...
Thanks for reaching out to worldcoinindex about our coin supply, hopefully they can update their listing shortly. I have not gathered a list of competitor projects but I've started to see some more GIS & Crypto projects coming out lately. As with all markets there will be room for the space to grow with multiple project offering similar functionality. I view this as a good sign as it leads to innovation and improvements to the space.

Over the weekend we have our first batch of beta testers trying out our upcoming Mapbox Interface. We received a lot of helpful feedback from the handful of beta testers! We will use this new information to make some necessary changes and improvements to the interface this week. The beta testing has currently been disabled, we will announce once again when it is back open. Thanks again for all the beta testers who donated their time and provided us with helpful constructive feedback! https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1054420610846085120

Here is a lady who is going to get her head chopped off soon. https[Suspicious link removed]cute-woman-political-prisoner/ https://globalnews.ca/news/4399185/saudi-arabia-ex ecute-woman-political-prisoner/ <<< remove spaces https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israa_al-GhomghamIf somebody who knows how to drop geocoins wants to drop 10 coins in a place inside that jail, such that they can only be gotten by somebody physically inside, whether jailer or guest, and post your address, I'll send you 20 coins from Bittrex. I'll do that for the first three people, then if any of the coins is picked up by somebody who has a good story I'll pay the person who picked them up at least 40. If Weifa wants to hold the coins, 100, then weifa can post a geo address and when the coins arrive there weifa can moderate. That sounds terrible. Although I'm not sure GeoCoin is the right project to help this person with their legal issues. You could try and set up some BTC, ETH etc. donation addresses if you'd like to help that person out yourself.

Just a note from a security perspective, 85% (~2.68M / 3.18M) of the circulating GEO supply is in the Bittrex wallet ( https://ubiqscan.io/address/0xb3c4e9ca7c12a6277deb9eef2dece65953d1c864). Obviously, this had a lot to do with the transition to ubiq where people were moving coins to the exchange for the swap. If there were ever a security issue on Bittrex (not saying there will be, but this is Crypto after all and this type of stuff has happened to other coins/exchanges), Geocoin would be screwed. It might be a good idea to start diversifying where holdings are kept as a community so a high price isn't paid by everyone if something were to happen. very true everybody should move his coins to a UBQ wallet Yea that could be a good idea for sure!

Today we are happy to announce that we have got our backend setup for beta testers to start collecting $GEO from our new Mapbox interface. This process will start off with some key members of the community and continue to grow as we debug any issues that pop up. If you're interested in taking part in the beta testing phase, join the Ubiq Discord, follow the verification process and head over to the #geo channel. See you there! https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1053339046888464384

then such approach as placing on a map only integer (whole) number of geocoins will be great for its value, not 0,5 geo or 0,3 geo. in this case people would perceive this coin as more valuable, as a real gem
Yes we plan to limit GEO drops to require at least 1 GEO as opposed to allowing fractions of a GEO. This will help raise the incentive for people to go out and collect them, and it also simplifies the number of GEO spread out across the world to a more manageable amount.

|
|
The users will be able to drop the GEO wherever they please. There is no limiting factor of 100 meter radius at this point in time.
Also there is no POS mechanism for GeoCoin so the only inflation to the coin supply with be done through dropping coins onto the map for others to pickup. The process is not designed as a chaotic one, we allow people to drop magnets onto the map to attract GEO to nearby locations. This helps prevent GEO from being dropped randomly on the map in the middle of nowhere.

Big fan of your miner Claymore, I've been using it for the past year and super happy with the results. Your miner seems to have the most robust set of options I've come across, keep up the great work! Ubiq (UBQ) has recently been developing a new variation of Ethash called Ubqhash. The decision to develop a new mining algorithm was decided through a community governance vote earlier this year. I believe a lot of the current miners in the Ubiq community are using your mining software, I was wondering if you've heard of the upcoming Ubqhash algorithm and whether you'd be interested in adding support for it in the future. For more information check out this medium blog, https://blog.ubiqsmart.com/introducing-ubqhash-8fa515befd7Cheers!

does anyone from the geo team have contacts with bittrex? this exchange started unexpectedly to delist different projects without any notification of teams and explanation. this is the main platform for the geo project so that to support a constant communication with bittrex won't be an extra measure
We have been in contact with the Bittrex team in the past via their Slack channel, they assisted us with our blockchain upgrade back in January of this year when we migrated over to the Ubiq Network.

there will be any additional interesting features to dropping and collecting geocoins? for instance, a person who has coin and wishes drop it can input the additional text, maybe an advertisement, any site or address of a shop, to this coin and then this text info can be depicted on a map until this coin is taken
Yes we already offer the ability to add your comment to a dropped GeoCoin on the map!
