141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero, buy or not? on: June 23, 2014, 01:51:54 PM
Well it has to be your decision, i invested some money (luckily not mutch) like 3 days ago when the price tanked and i'm loosing my money already...will hold them and not dump them since i still hope it wasn't pump and dump.
Dont afraid, its normal that price dropped a little. It cant all the time just grow up. But you should look closer. Before 2 weeks the price was 2usd, now is 4.4usd (before 2days was 5.5usd maximum) Its investment for long time, if you want profit, then have it for at least all.summer.

Have it for at least 5month and the price will up at least 7x times.

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is dogecoin dead? on: June 22, 2014, 06:32:15 PM
Dogecoin is definitely not dead. Do you mean the market valuation? If so, it may be your definition of "dead." Dead coins don't have any users or miners. Dogecoin has both of those and in large numbers. Anyway as I said, if you're only looking for investments, then yeah Dogecoin may be dead.
What for more if not for investment? Whatever I will buy it  and will be hoping more expensive soon

How about using it to buy stuff like crypto's are intended to be used as?
If buy something with crypto, then not with this shit Cheesy maybe later, but not now. I should get abou 30k dogecoins to buy case for my phone. And that would be same thing if I would pay for that with dogecoin or with USD. If dogecoin price will grow, then that will be the same thing like investment. I would pay for thing less money, coz I have dogecoin or I would sold it and get my moneys much more than I had.before.

What a hell started happening to me? In the morning all was fine, but for now went something wrong. I'm getting those errors and I don't know is it my fault or some problems with pool? I'm mining at this pool http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/ Who could say what this errors does mean? Especially that "stratum_recv_line failed, retry after 10 seconds" and that writted in the red color? ^ did you download minerd?
Jee, I did it. cpu miner by Wolf. I extracted all it in my C:/Monero/monero.win.x64.latest/ folder together with others files like bitmonerod, simplewallet and etc. That minerd was together with few dll. files so I extracted all them. But when I'm runing minerd its have opening for 1second and turn off. I was runing daemon and wallet at the same time, but still nothing..

All have synchronisized well, created wallet, blockchain is put in bitmonero folder who is directed in roamaning. All I did as in tutorial. But when I'm trying to start mining, opening command prompt and put in there pool addres with my wallet addres and with core number I got an error "minerd is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" What I'm doing wrong? Need fast help.

Is a thin client even possible with cryptonote currencies? Let the devs answer this.

simplewallet.exe can be seen as a "thin client", it manages wallets and broadcast transactions to bitmonerod.exe.

I think it is possible for to host deamon on a remote server, hence we could achieve a real light weight client. Let's wait dev give some opinion about this  Smiley

Hey, just wondering is this normal that when i'm trying to synchronisize with network (I'm doing it without blockchain, will download it while updating) got this error? And the days, blocks numbers is not lessen. You can see somewhere is 2days, then again 52days. I'm waiting about 2h.Maybe I should first download blockchain file and then try to synchronisize bitmonerod with network?

It's quite annoying but nothing to worry about. Your client was flooding other's peer with too many connection and got rejected.

Oh, I felt better. But what about this things writted in the red color? I don't think that is normal :? And how long i will need to wait? About 5hours or less? Screenshot again
