thanks ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) i did this once before when it stopped working, i dont know why it happened again .. but loading up the backup seems to fix it, without loosing the entire blockchain

no one asked you to invest in Cloak .. the devs do not need to tell you their name.
if you thnk it is all one person with a bunch of fake alias .. well .. i dont know what to say. that's an odd theory, seem highly unlikely.

My wallet keeps crashing, or I would be staking.
it won't boot anymore .. i solved the problem once by replacing the %appdata%/korecoin files with a backup ... but then it started doing it again
error says ..
Assertion failed!
Program: C:\[folder]\korecoin-qt.exe File: src\kernel.cpp, Line 370
Expression: pindex || pindex -> GetBlockHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock: hashGenesisBlockTestNet)
Abort Retry Ignore
then say i hit Ignore ..
a new window pops up says
" Error blkindex.dat " Ok
Darth0ne: It looks like you might have some corrupted files there. My best suggestion would be: #1] Delete all the KoreCoin Files and sub-folders, EXCEPT your wallet.dat file. KEEP your wallet.dat file! (Hopefully it is not damaged, or if it is then hopefully you have a backup version of it.) #2] So, deleting all the KoreCoin files and sub-folders whilst KEEPING your wallter.dat : Place the latest korecoin-qt.exe file along with your existing wallet.dat in the empty folder and start it up. #3] Wait for the blockchain to download. That can take quite a while so just leave it for a couple of hours. If you had corrupted files then that will solve the issue, otherwise it might be something else. hmm .. ok i opted to restore a working backup, cause at least i wont have to start the blockchain from 0 again.

I would like to introduce you our new developer. This is pfo. He works in his own software company which produces b2b products. He has also developed applications for several mobile platforms. He has been working for many years in the field of developing high tech projects with innovative solutions. His hobby is figuring out how cryptocoin technology works and hacking. He's a great specialist who is a special aid with our developments for Mac OS. Our forthcoming Mac bundle is almost entirely his project except for the security issues connected to data protection and encryption. Also, pfo is in charge of the pool and you can already download the GUI miner & wallet for Mac OS here. We're planning a closed beta-testing of Windows GUI wallet. If someone wants to take part in testing, please contact me. so whats new with the new dev ?? we need some more action, bring this one back to life!

I really like this Eurbids guy.. trolls like mymoneyman can fuck right off and go ride some pump and dump coins. My sense is that it's all good, just a little quiet patch before activity resumes.
Oh, and, guys, please consider staking. I'm running wallets staking on 4 different machines but we could do with more(!) The network would welcome some extra nodes.
You can just use different wallet addresses in the same wallet and get the same result as multiple machines. Wow .. you really just don't get it do you? NO using different wallet addresses will NOT add nodes to the network ... Azure is actually contributing something to this coin .. not whining because no one is here to hold his hand.

This place is a shitshow. If crytpo is the next generation of money why is the forum platform still stuck in 1999? Cloaktalk supports mobile, embedded videos, sound, instant messages, private threads and all the updates are made in real-time, so you don't need to refresh the browser. Sifting through 800 pages to find relative information is pointless and time consuming. People want to find information fast.
yes.. after spending some time on the Cloaktalk forum, i found that i prefer their format much more! (everything is real-time, no refresh!) http://www.cloaktalk.org/surprised to read someone say they "prefer the format [of this forum] to the cloakcoin forum" this forum is the stone-age, and full of trolls ...

we should be lookin into the upcoming release of ONEmarket, attracting vendors, etc.

wow, i come here and everyone is talking about closing the thread ...
DAGGER or any of the DEVS talk about closing the thread..??
nah.. look back, it was one dude, cryptodaknight,
fuck that guy he dont run shit,
shut up about closing the thread, it's not gonna happen..
i can see why people want to tho..
it's like a bad game of telephone from when you were kids ..
one person says one thing...
and next thing ya know word in the street is that DAGGER and the DEVs all shuttin the whole show down ! (obviously not.. but rumour has it...you get the point..)
i agree with Coolstory, the whole ALTcoin section on BCT is right on par with 4chan/b/.

[suggestion]
Copying a open source code for anon features is most certainly the way we will go. At this moment there are different cryptocurrency battling to become the #1 anon coin. We will choose our (source code) partner once this fight is settled! sounds like a plan ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) this coin is looking very promising, keep up the good work!

I came across this coin through this forum. And all "shit" coins as you guys call them.
I think some of these coins have good future. Someone mentioned this coin on the via thread and I decided to invest in cloak too.
Can someone give me a basic picture of the difference between those two coins please? And who are the people working on this coin?
hi, you can check this thread by Burner2014 to get a good idea of the basics of this coin : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=714803.0thanks, it helped. But still I don't know who these developers are. I would like to know more about them and their credentials. But the projects they're working on seem to be good. cloakpal is a nice idea. easy to use for those who have problems with wallets. that's taking it another level for sure. It's an anonymous coin that can easily be used for purchasing illegal goods, if you were developing such a product would you like to remain anonymous? anonymous is a technology. Those who build it and improve it don't have to be. I don't see the reason why these devs don't come out of the shadow and let us know who they really are. Unless they are planning a scam, they have no fear. As an investor in a project, I need to know the credentials of these people. Not just waiting for news to come out. How is cloakpal for example a project that needs the devs to be anonymous? uh .. did you read what was already stated?? It's an anonymous coin that can easily be used for purchasing illegal goods, if you were developing such a product would you like to remain anonymous?
remember what happened to "DPR" ? no one asked you to invest.. if you are not happy with anon devs, this is not the project for you. the devs do not need to prove their credentials, or even their identities, to you.

any chance we will see a silkcoin 'marketplace' in the wallet.. like promised in the original coin? it could be like cloakcoin's onemarket ... silkmarket ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

well, i still don't think we need pictures of them and a little thumbs up message..
they are working on PoSA, are they not?
|
|
|
recently i read that MINERALS, the esports betting coin, is implementing a version of CLOAK's PoSA ... http://www.morningminerals.com/?p=463"...the team has been debating and discussing various propositions and options, and decided to improve an existing method: Minerals layer of anonymity will be partially based on Cloakcoin‘s Proof Of Stake Anonymity or POSA." i think a XXX coin would be good to have 'anon' features, of course right!? i know devs are busy, but something to consider, especially if it's made open-source.. is maybe implementing PoSA? be the first anon porn-coin? i've been waitin for a coin like this to emerge. xxxcoin has a lot of potential, could be huge. keep up the good work!
|
|
|
We understand your busy but get your wife to do some PR work - take a photo of the team sitting on there PC coding or some thing, i have held my breath longer then the time it take to send out a twitter msg "every thing is on track" "working as plan" photo Drawing come one - you have to treat this like a business and your the CEO - have you ever heard a CEO taking a sick day or not turning up for work the community here thing your on holiday ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) the devs shouldn't need to hold your hand. if you believe in minerals, enjoy the cheap coins.

simplify the process of "buying" XXXcoins with bitcoin, that would boost acceptance, as there is plenty of ways to get bitcoin. you might want to try to gett added on www.moolah.io
I have tickets in with Moolah confirming how the CC processing works and charge backs. And if they would have a problem with adult related stuff.
Free plug... Moolah looks pretty impressive, they have a full blown exchange. It looks well built, there just isn't any volume there yet as they are still new. Zero trading fees through the end of the month if you guys want to check it out.
so moolah is a go?? right on ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) moolah recently bought mintpal if i'm not mistaken.
