i would have loved to stick to the pre-planned schedule, but they more often than not work out different from how you imagined, especially with tight deadlines.

i am not the same dev as payprocoin. i did, however, copy the tabling format used by the paypro dev, because that looked to me the most suitable format to start work from.

Source codes will be released at exactly 00:00h, 1st August 2014, GMT+2. Wallets are already released.

Crowdfund will end at launch time, or before then. Don't forget, there is a maximum cap in place for this crowdfund phase. Once we hit that ceiling, the payment page will be taken down. Therefore, please make your decision within the next 3.5 hours, pronto. This should still be fair, given that the crowdfund period has been open for a total of 7 days allowing for all interested parties to make their decision over a reasonable period of time.

When crowdfunding period comes to a close, the only ways to obtain UPM will be via mining or via exchange on the free market.

After launch, there will be about 60 blocks, or about 60 minutes of 0 reward mining. This will create an added layer of fairness between miners vying to profit from being the first to mine. Instead of a race of fastest-fingers-first, the 1 hour of 0 reward mining will allow for a fair playing field where all miners will have an equal and fair amount of time to compete. This is in line with our Proof-of-Fairness distribution model as laid out in the whitepaper.

after source code is released to public (at launch), i will go ahead to contact a few exchanges to list UPM.

if you're looking for a roadmap along the lines of "we will add an anonymous coin-mixer through tor because that is the most important for the future of crypto", or that "we will introduce a revolutionary proof-of-proofing-stake-staking-stakedy-steak-XYZ", then no there is no innovation in that sense.

UPM will not rely on gimmicky technical innovations that ride on the wave of quickly dying trends, and those that serve no true purpose for attaining Utopia as defined by UPM. the purpose and core values of cryptocurrency have never changed, but have rather evolved to become more all-encompassing of different ideas and innovations in all kinds of aspects. if we look back a nakamoto's paper, we can take away 4 main values that this era of cryptocurrencies bring; decentralization, distribution, stability, and security. hence, UPM will continue to innovate within the constructs laid out in nakamoto's paper, while also considering the evolving market dynamics of the crypto & altcoin marketplace.

on that note, any features that are interesting, well-received, useful, AND related to the values and goals of UPM will be considered and possibly added, based on the community's sentiments on the proposition. we have the smartest minds around in crypto, so why not work together to innovate and create a better future, by improving what we currently have, and learning to know more than what we already currently know.

with that said, features we are currently considering include:

• implementing mining through multiple algorithms for increased distribution, decentralization, stability and security, and executed via hard fork
• decentralized apps on top of the UPM blockchain, or sidechain projects, that are designed specifically to enhance UPM's utility in education
• possibility of sharing hashrate and computing power to contribute to decentralized computing projects such as BOINC or SETI
• any feature that improves UI, UX, and social experience of using UPM as a cryptocurrency in general
• popular in-wallet features such as trading within wallet, price ticker, social media feed e.g. twitter, encrypted messaging.

once you have paid, your share should be recorded by our system, although it may take awhile to update on the website. confirmation of payment is verified against the blockchain.info address url of the transaction, which you can also personally double check to make sure. as long as this payment is made before closing of this period, you will be included in the final crowdfunder list.

closer to the closing of the crowdfund, a public list will be made available for all to double check if your registration has been recorded, in case there was any error during the registration process. once all is verified, the coins will be distributed based on the final crowdfunder list.
