any innovations of coin itself?
also wondering what kind of features will be implemented in the coin?
if you're looking for a roadmap along the lines of "we will add an anonymous coin-mixer through tor because that is the most important for the future of crypto", or that "we will introduce a revolutionary proof-of-proofing-stake-staking-stakedy-steak-XYZ", then no there is no innovation in that sense.
UPM will not rely on gimmicky technical innovations that ride on the wave of quickly dying trends, and those that serve no true purpose for attaining Utopia as defined by UPM. the purpose and core values of cryptocurrency have never changed, but have rather evolved to become more all-encompassing of different ideas and innovations in all kinds of aspects. if we look back a nakamoto's paper, we can take away 4 main values that this era of cryptocurrencies bring; decentralization, distribution, stability, and security. hence, UPM will continue to innovate within the constructs laid out in nakamoto's paper, while also considering the evolving market dynamics of the crypto & altcoin marketplace.
on that note, any features that are interesting, well-received, useful, AND related to the values and goals of UPM will be considered and possibly added, based on the community's sentiments on the proposition. we have the
smartest minds around in crypto, so why not
work together to innovate and create a better future, by improving what we currently have, and learning to know more than what we already currently know.
with that said, features we are currently considering include:
- implementing mining through multiple algorithms for increased distribution, decentralization, stability and security, and executed via hard fork
- decentralized apps on top of the UPM blockchain, or sidechain projects, that are designed specifically to enhance UPM's utility in education
- possibility of sharing hashrate and computing power to contribute to decentralized computing projects such as BOINC or SETI
- any feature that improves UI, UX, and social experience of using UPM as a cryptocurrency in general
- popular in-wallet features such as trading within wallet, price ticker, social media feed e.g. twitter, encrypted messaging.
