We are so accustomed to watching Bayern Munich in this league that it feels really different to see this now. Xabi Alonso has become the one to put an end to this boring streak. What a start to his career! As he is staying for at least another season this means we are likely to watch another great season.  This is what I want to see from all the leagues where there are teams like Bayern Munich. For example the Ligue 1. There isn't anyone to break PSG's dominance yet. However, because Xabi Alonso will still be at Bayer Leverkusen for next season, maybe it will also prove whether Xabi Alonso will still succeed in making Bayer Leverkusen strong at the top of the standings or not. Ofcourse, if Xabi Alonso can still succeed in making Bayer Leverkusen strong in the title race next season, then this result will make Xabi Aloso truly have extraordinary skills and not just rely on luck. But at least, next season Bayern Munich will also have a new coach and factors like this will certainly be interesting. However the tournament format is also going to change so let's see what they can do. If Bologna do not extend Thiago Motta's contract or perhaps, Thiago Motta will accept the offer of another team then I believe Thiago Motta's departure will have a bad impact on Bologna next season. Monaco definitely played a good season after all, and I believe that they are really doing as fine as they hope they could, that is something they should be proud of. They are fighting against a team three times their size so not winning the league isn't all that bad, they should be happy with what they got.
Additionally, consistency is a lot more important so if they can keep the team going for many years, like be in top four every season and be in UCL group stages, they would make enough money to finally be good enough to maybe have a chance to win the league as well, that would be great. Monaco has that possibility, they look good enough and unless they just end up selling all their good players and replace them with terrible ones, or their good players end up starting to play badly, we will see Monaco be good for a few seasons.
At least Monaco has also experienced winning the Ligue 1 trophy in the past and thus, Monaco is not a new team in the competition at the top of the table. But besides that,Monaco also did not start this season well so it seems natural,if Monaco has fallen behind PSG who has been at the top of the standings first. For some reason, I think it is actually going to be easier for them to win against Real Madrid instead of Bayern Munich. I do not have anything substantial to back that theory up. The question i asking myself is why hasnt Dortmund played that good and confidently in the German League too. They have proof since yesterday now that they can play good , so fingers crossed they make it and win the final. So Dortmund will be for sure protect the main players of the last 2 games in the german league that nobody will be get injured. Sometimes, teams are not able to get the same good results in the domestic league as they get in the Champions League or in the European League. So, the case experienced by Dortmund is a natural result, because there are many other teams every season, when they don't perform well in the domestic league but the team gets goodresults in other competitions . Lille wants to finish 3rd in the league while Lyon wants to finish in the top 5. The match was very exciting and I honestly didn't expect such a comeback from Lyon. It was great for Lyon to have this kind of comeback on the road. With the point they got from this match, they managed to get one step closer to the top.
Maybe Lille also underestimated Lyon, because Lille won 2-0 at half time but who thought Lyon was able to comeback in the secondhalf. Lyon were only able to equalize the score to 2-2 and after that Lille managed to score again in the 85th minute and the score was 3-2. Thus,maybe Lille thought Lyon was no longer able to make a goal because the match at least only left 5 minutes of normal time. But anyway,the reality is that Lyon is still able to make goals and even make 2 goals and with this result Lyon has a good chance to finish in the top six . But besidesthat, atleast with Lille defeat also made me lose in my bet, because I bet on Lille in this match.  |

I personally think Roma have no chance of qualifying for the Europa League final. The first leg was Roma's home match. I thought we would see Roma dominate at home. But Roma was defeated 2-0 in the home match. Despite Roma's home match, the match was dominated by Leverkusen's players. The second leg is Leverkusen's home match. In Leverkusen's home match, Roma will win by more than 3 goals I don't find it believable.
After the first leg some people were still thinking that Roma will be able to remedy the situation but for me, the last Bundesliga match between E. Frankfurt and Bayern Leverkusen is a confirmation of how ruthless and determine Leverkusen is. They are not ready to lose any match this season so the best Roma can get is a draw. Winning E. Frankfurt 1-5 when they were supposed to relax and reserve players for the Europa, is a testament to their strong winning mentality this season. So I agree with you that As Roma stand no chance against Bayern Leverkusen. Obviously, in the second leg where Bayer Leverkusen will play at home with a 2-0 aggregate win then of course, Bayer Leverkusen is in a safe and comfortable situation. Because anyway, if I consider about the current situation and condition of AS Roma, because AS Roma also in the Serie A standings have overtaken by Atalanta and made AS Roma out of the Champion League zone. With the situation experienced by AS Roma in the Serie A standings and also, the position of AS Roma who have lost 2-0 on aggregate then of course, it is difficult for AS Roma to overcome pressure like this. Therefore, how much effort AS Roma make against Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg later, I personally still believe AS Roma will not be able to beat Bayer Leverkusen, so I believe AS Roma will be knocked out. |
