What's up with all the new reddit subscriptions? We used to gain a handfull a week whereas last week we got a 100 or so. A lot of them have names with xmr/monero in them too, I'm a bit sceptic this being 'natural' actually. Or is someone actively promoting?

Hey looks like moneroinvest.com is updated.  Smiley

Yet it seems to be dealig with monero only by its name. What about in near future? Will it soon have some functionality with monero?

http://moneroinvestment.com/

Interesting. Who owns this site?

Found one mistake:

"At the time of this writing in May 2015 Monero is at the very begging of its story."

Also I would cut up the story into more paragraphs, it's a bit of a long read (as in all in one) and not very attractive to the eye.

edit:
and another one, 'The central argument regarding Monere value add as an investment is that the value proposal presented above is plausible, '

The American Pegasus Center For Kids Who Don't Math Good And Want To Do Other Stuff Good Too will be a reality.

OK, but the price of monero needs to be at least 3 TIMES BIGGER than it is now first  Grin

What is this?! A crypto for ANTS???

Talking about a firestarter... If this 20btc wall goes down, it will unleash the bullcannons. We will have full volume confirmation of a new bullcycle.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 12, 2015, 08:32:38 PM
Around 9,5k of incredibly well priced xmr left. Opportunities like these are slimming down.

Would be a good play to rollover some ltc/nmc/ppc profits into xmr right now before the ano-cycle kicks off again.

And it's gone... Must be some barracuda's in the water today.

Anybody here likes a nice triangle? We just broke out of the downtrend on the daily on (so far) moderate volume:

First major historical resistance at 24, 2nd at 28 and then ready to slam in against 37. Let's see if this rally matures tho, we need a little more volume confirmation. I actually witnessed more than usual numbers of requests for OTC-trades lately, so i'm counting on it.

Personally wouldn't be suprised to surpass the previous high of 42 later this/next month, although the resistance is gonna be substantial. If the conditions are right the bulls could carry this one even to north of 54 or (caution, bold prediction incomingeven the 72-77 region

Don't quit your dayjobs tho kids, happy trading!

It might be the temperature, but I think we'll soon see the last stab down for the reversal. Monero tends to adhere to some sort of cycled pagtern, and it looks like we're towards the end of one. My guess is up from here.

Would be great if this turns out this way, and being able to bottomfish those last dumpefforts.

Lack of ANC github activity has caused me to lose hope of any Zerocoin implementation. CryptoNote exists, the future is now. #XMR #BBR

Thanks for that tweet, I think you're right. Zerocoin is a great concept, but will not be a competitor for a long time.

Monero is here today and fully functioning (and active, and lively). It is currently (and will be for a long time) the main candidate for the anon-niche.

50 more from me for a pool for translations to chinese. Just to get it kickstarted a bit. Once it's more known over there chances are we get some chinese community members to do this voluntarily.

That makes 600.

Good jobs guys! The least hurdles the better. Next step would be the lmdb merged into master. Of course exchanges are able to compile from github, but I guess it makes sense for them to wait for the official release so that all is tested thoroughly and working smoothly.

I wouldn't be surprised to have 2 (or) more exchanges on board shortly after. Monero is one of the bigger alts with regards to consistent trading volume, and has a healthy and active community as well as a trustworthy, solid & skilled devteam. I'm sure that if they reach out for some help implementing they'll be welcomed with open arms.

I just grabbed the latest from github and I see this "integrated_address" feature.

It seems to generate a random payment ID for you and then integrates the payment ID into a new address so you don't have to specify the payment ID to your sender. Damn, that's cool.

You can thank MoneroMooo and luigi1111 for making that happen. Has everyone else who pledged XMR for this feature contributed?

yes sir!  Cool thanks again to luigi and moneromoo!

ps: just fyi,  I just marked this account with negative trust https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=371452

I haven't yet. Can someone send me the addresses?
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 07, 2015, 07:45:31 PM
I can't keep up with all these wall movements. My guess is that somebody somewhere knows something about something.

Not going to get easier for you, there's a 100k XMR / 220 BTC buy wall right now.  Smiley

Lol, I just saw it. Shit just got real. Wallzilla
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 07, 2015, 06:26:49 PM
So the 0.0023 wall has just been eaten completely. Let's see where we'll bounce, I'm thinking in the 21,5-22,5 area.
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: June 05, 2015, 08:42:48 AM
The imposible monero>btc seems more plausible as time goes on

nope.  with Monero wallowing at near all-time lows relative to BTC and way down at #13 in the cryptocurrency mkts, it's no wonder iCELatte and his buddies have decided to come into this thread and try to take advantage of the 20MB controversy.  it's a shameless move yet quite expected from these altscam guys.  too bad it's not going to work:

I have been reading this thread since early 2013, it is one of the little gems this forum has left. I respect your thoughts and what you have contributed. Until now I have refrained from commenting on/about anything monero in the little posts i make here, since there's an altsection for that.

But what you're doing now is playing the exact same card that all the bitcoin sceptics are pulling to illegitimatize btc, which imo is a weak one. Bitcoin provided a mental exercise when it appeared on the scene. You've been able to make it to the other side and are one of the most forward thinking guys ion this subject(esp if compared to the rest of the world). There are a lot of viable arguments against alts or monero but the stance you've been taking is of the same sturdiness of the bitcoin-'haters' and have resulted in fallacies based on price.

Maybe that is because of the monero-proponents here who sort of force you into this position. But don't become like the btc-haters who arn't willing to at least try out other perspectives on the matter. You resorted into the same kind of tactics as the old status quo you once battled.

You've been getting a lot of shit here lately in all the debates. And although you are used to getting shit about these topics it almost seems that lately you're losing it a little. Call me a troll/newb/insignifact whatever. The paragraph i started with was genuine.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 05, 2015, 08:15:45 AM
Interesting.

Won't they just sorta 'front-run' that massive marketbuy and clear the shorts along the way up to 0.004? Effectively letting the big buyer spend less btc?
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 04, 2015, 03:49:44 PM
I think we have been patient enough with this guy. Ban him from the thread. He brings nothing to the table. Even his 'fud' is subpar.

I don't mind criticism, actually I encourage that. Crypto-money is a brand new concept and differences in implementation, parameters or technology are there to be discussed/battled, but this guy is just a donkey.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 03, 2015, 10:31:30 AM
Risto, don't you think chances of Poloniex being involved in margin trading themselves is 'marginal' Wink considering the regulatory framework they've to comply to? If you get caught with that, you'd have to close shop.
