When the miner crashes, it can automatically restart itself, that function that gets really annoying when you want to want to make changes to settings. Does minerd have a modifier for that or is that an inherent part of Scrypt Miner?

Mine Litecoin -> Buy Bitcoin -> Sell for Cash is the latest trend.

P2Pool is good if you want to pay nothing on transactions, but stale shares are worthless. Also, bitminter is good if you just want to start mining instantly, since the entire miner is in Java.

Specificly the scare started when Mt. Gox took in a bunch of forged coins. Block chain sniffed it out within minutes, but the damage was done to the value, and Mt. Gox decided to roll back all internal trades to the point before the bad deposit, a lot of people wanted out, and down went the spiral.

Bitcoin thrives on activity, sort of how inside a microwaved burrito, the molecules move around a lot faster than a frozen one, so it's has more heat. If everyone wants to buy Bitcoin, it's worth more to more people. But if everyone wants to sell, then value takes a hit.

Deploying the *nix version on the cloud, two quick (kinda noobish) questions.
1. If "-t" is unspecified, does it default to max?
2. Is there any modifier for a Lazarus mode, like the function in Scrypt Miner GUI where it can restart itself after coming back from the dead?

I know that Pool-X has an instawallet service, so you probably couldn't just make another clone. http://wallet.it.cx/

so what is the word? what is actually going on now?
I am taking over the site, I have finished transferring the files over to my server and I am will be in the process of performing an audit this weekend. I will keep people updated on my progress. It is going to be slow and painful. If there is any way I, or anyone else on here can help...

Nevermind. Chalk this up on the archive pile.

Could it be an issue if you have a list of open ports and ip addresses that the Antibodies would be hooked up to, and one buffer overflow later, you got yourself a premade botnet ready to roll?

I'm out of my league if a couple times through spinrite and a live disk won't get the data back, but best of luck.

Seems like it works on paper, but you'd probably create a bigger monster if someone found a way to spike the network.

So, I can get out of the haterade bunker now, right?

I'll take 1000BTC

Haters gonna hate, especially when their bits are on the line.
Although you honestly don't need post it on every single sub board. It will speak for itself if it works.

GPU = 106 kh/s for 2 Tesla GFX cards, reaper v. 13 CPU = 25 kh/s for 8 threads of Intel Xeon from Scrypt Miner. Kinda disappointed, to be honest.
|
|
|
Now that Reaper is in play, how feasible is it to have a self sustaining mine?

|

Tacotime, did you ever get the Linux version compiled? Looking into doing some shopping around for gpu clouds, and a working linux bin would be nice.
EDIT: My bad.
