141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange it or Hold it on: August 07, 2018, 05:29:22 AM
Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?

If you selling the airdrop tokens, you won't get much unless the airdrop is valued above $10. Usually the airdrop rewards is below $5.
So in my opinion, holding is a good choice, but keep holding for long time. Holding for short time won't bring any good, the price can drop sometimes.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when your coin spikes? on: August 06, 2018, 04:54:34 AM
I'm just looking for the opinions of others really, there's no right or wrong answer to this question.
What do you do when a coin you're holding suddenly jumps up by like 30% or whatever? do you try to sell at the peak of that spike and buy them back once it's gone back down again? or do you just keep on hodling?

Usually if a coin start to spiking, it means there are something happening. Either they have a good news about their project, or they have a big partnership. I usually just wait and not selling my coin yet because it possibly rise more. Once the price drop a bit, that is the time to sell.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your reason joining here in crypto? on: August 06, 2018, 04:22:18 AM

144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where Do You Invest in BTC? on: August 05, 2018, 01:48:55 PM
Hey guys!

I'm exploring options for investing in Bitcoin and I'm new to the whole space.

i usually not investing using bitcoin, but with eth because with eth you can invest in many projects.
anyway, you can invest using bitcoin to some ICO projects. But before you spend your btc to invest, you must do your own research about that project.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Target Market of Bitcoin on: August 05, 2018, 01:32:28 PM
Kindly enumerate all the target market of Bitcoin.

Many people now loves doing bitcoin because of the advantages of doing so but the fact is many of them are still not aware of what does the Bitcoin do and how does it work. And the list of knowledge about Bitcoin is too small.
Thats why I am asking now, who must be the Target Market of Bitcoin?
Thank you.

The target market of bitcoin is the big companies around the world, who wants to make bitcoin as their payment currency.
If all of the companies in the world accept bitcoin, then cryptocurrency world must be very profiting in the future.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your investment strategy? on: August 04, 2018, 03:04:31 PM
Hello all.

The current situation of the market is not so good. I believe that some of you are panic, some are giving up, some holding to die.  Cry

Could you please share with us your current investment strategy so that everybody can learn from your good practices and overcome this tough time?

Yes, almost all kind of investment, either it is a coin, or tokens value from icos are dropping now.
No need to panic, because usually it will need quite long time for the project to reach success.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is one and only no matter what on: August 04, 2018, 02:57:30 PM
In my books bitcoin is one and only no matter what people say and or how they try to manipulate situation. I KNOW what bitcoin is what it stands for as for rest ... meehhh...
I will take into consideration something else when I can exchange it 1 bitcoin = 1 (something) .... but until that day Bitcoin is the king baby Smiley

what a coincidence, im thinking the same thing. Bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrency, so it wont replaced by other altcoins.
Maybe there are many coins that have cheaper price, faster blocktime, etc. But bitcoin will be the no 1 cryptocurrency.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Day Trading on: August 03, 2018, 06:56:13 AM
Recently I asked about day trading tips on this forum and got really nice response. Some one introduced me to Voodoo day trading community where I found perfect atmosphere to learn day trading and technical analysis:  https://discord.gg/yBmNzRm I have spent last whole week in the free channel in the group and learnt some interesting tricks and earned a decent amount of money.

But it feels like to reach the next level, I have to join paid channel. I wanted to ask that is it worth to pay for learning day trading or I could found free stuff instead? This forum has been a great help to me in past. I hope I will get some valuable feedback this time too.

I haven't join any paid channel for trading, but if you find good reviews about that channel, then maybe it is worth to try.
You may ask them if they have a trial program for new member or not. I think you can learn about trading in trading section in this forum too.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NO! Do Not Invest all you have on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies on: August 01, 2018, 02:34:19 AM
I have read several posts on this forum where people have claimed to have invested all the money they have on Bitcoin, I also read a post where a guy claimed to have used all the $20,000 his uncle gave him to also invest in Bitcoin, some even sold their landed property. The reason for these risks and others is the firm believe that Bitcoin would be $50,000 - $100,000 by the year 2019 or thereabout.

First, I must say that I admire the courage and high risk appetite of such persons. But, I must also warn.
Yes, It is good for everyone to have high hopes for Bitcoin, and also hope it gets to 100k USD in future, but you should also consider a safety factor in anything you do including investing.

Mathematically,

DO NOT Assume,
P(Success of future term) = 1 ; and
P(Failure of future term) = 0

This implies that, you must always leave a little fraction for probability of failure which in this case is the safety factor, no matter how little the fraction may be. Simply put, you don't have absolute control of what happens to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies in the future.

Invest wisely, only invest what you can afford to loose

Just a piece of advice.

What are your own suggestions?

Of course you cannot do that. Investing all money that you have will not bring you any good.
Always investing no more than you can afford to lose. So, it is not advisable if you use all of your money to cryptocurrency.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks to start trading crypto sooner on: August 01, 2018, 01:42:14 AM
Banks will trade cryptocurrency sooner than people think, says former JPMorgan blockchain executive. If you are thinking to buy some bitcoins, it is right time as prices will go up soon.

Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/18/banks-could-start-trading-crypto-soon-says-fmr-jpmorgan-executive.html

If bank start to trading crypto, i think they will accepting cryptocurrency deposit too in the future.
But if that happening, maybe the cryptocurrency value will spiking again like last year in dec 2017.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Ma said Blockchain was a great but Bitcoin is A Bubble on: July 31, 2018, 02:52:10 AM
I think if bitcoin was a bubble, it would burst already but you see that bitcoin still existing with a great value in the market.
Usually, bubble never come back to bubbling after burst, but when bitcoin price falling, it will rise back someday. So, bitcoin = bubble ? No
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of altcoins ? on: July 30, 2018, 05:12:07 AM
What advantages do altcoins have that differs it from bitcoin ?

Maybe the advantages of altcoins is, it is more reachable by small holder. You can buy altcoins in bigger fractions than bitcoin.
And if you compare the blocktime of bitcoin and altcoins, the altcoin block time is faster than bitcoin.
The transaction speed of altcoins mostly faster than bitcoin too.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your experience in trading? on: July 30, 2018, 04:49:16 AM

That is my experience trading.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: July 29, 2018, 08:03:50 AM
We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

They dont accept bitcoin deposit for now because they are know that bitcoin value is very volatile in the market.
i think they dont want to take risk about it. So, for now they dont accept. But we dont know if the bitcoin volatility become less in the future.
Volatility itself is not a bad thing. Many peoples using volatility of cryptocurrency to gain profit.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Market has come? on: July 28, 2018, 03:23:18 PM
Bitcoin breaks $8,000 and still increases every hour. The whole market, altcoins are also  green and solid growth. This is the best new today for crypto enthusiastic. I think that the Bull Market has come. What do you think?

In the past days, i saw only bitcoin has a great increment value in the market. The other altcoins are increased too, but not much.
For about 4 months cryptocurrency was on the bearish situation i think. Now is the time for bull market, if not this time, it means this year 2018 is not a year of cryptocurrency.

157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: July 26, 2018, 02:12:12 AM
It is too soon to decide it, bitcoin still have a possibility to become a global currency in the world.
Bitcoin just need to reduce the volatility in the market, and the permission of government in all countries.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital money or virtual currency? on: July 26, 2018, 02:00:47 AM
Hello friends.
I have a problem to share.
My country is average. They are too familiar with outdated and old technologies.
In my country many people still understand Bitcoin as virtual currency. BTC does not bring anything to life. They just think Bitcoin investment is gambling, chance, black red.
Why?
Why do not they look at Bitcoin, ETH or blockchain technology for the present.
Blockchain minimizes transportation costs, intermediates and risks.
Personally, I always try to absorb and learn nonstop.
And you? How is your country?

Virtual currency is not a right term for bitcoin. In my opinion, bitcoin is a currency, but in digital.
Bitcoin was created to become a currency that used by peoples in the world. But it seems bitcoin usage more focus on trading or investing activity.

Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers

Even you are still newbie now, you don't seems active in this forum anymore. If you search for advice, you must actively search in this forum for your sake.
