When can I start making orders for 10+? Every time I attempt to do this, it claims that there are only 9 in stock.

By the way, here is a nice place to watch the team and member stats:

I like http://kakaostats.com/t.php?t=224497 , myself.
143  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner [Post if interested] on: May 06, 2013, 06:23:03 PM
Well, I am definitely interested. Please do invest. I'd probably be looking at 10-20 units, assuming a reasonable price as hinted.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rise of alternative cryptocurrencies on: May 06, 2013, 02:18:13 AM

Correct!  Almost nobody in the altcoin world seems to be aware of this.

(And that's a good way to state the problem.)

I see this all the time. People assuming that Litecoin's confirmations are somehow way more secure. And I see people claiming LTC should be used for POS, when clearly there is low risk in taking BTC with 0 confirmations at POS. I even think the risks of doing so are greatly exaggerated.

But at the same time, I always see this response "it takes 4 ltc confirmations to equal 1 BTC confirmation." The reasons behind this statement are obvious and true. Here is my question though, that no one ever answers and oddly, no one even brings up:

Isn't one LTC confirmation still better than 0 BTC confirmations? If not, why?

And I really wish people would stop going on about LTC confirmations and POS. I have the same issues with waiting 2 minutes at a cash register as I do 10 minutes at a cash register. No one is going to wait for confirmations. They will take the (very) minor risk of accepting 0 confirmation transactions or they are going to have a 3rd party take the risk.

Let's change it up. I'd be interested in this but non-assembled. In other words, customer solders everything accordingly. Lowers costs for distributor so they can pass some of those savings onto the customer.

Sounds like fun. My bonus points for folding finally kicked in. I think I will keep 4 cores on this for a while yet. I'll be changing my signature shortly to include addresses for altcoins.

made you a confirmed account.
Username: bananamk23
password: bananabanana

I even pre-authorized the app for you and looked at the link. See how easy that was?
149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can somebody with a twitter account post what it says here: on: May 03, 2013, 03:38:48 AM
Takes you as long to create a twitter account as it does for me to make this post. Then you never have to use it again.

Hell, give me your email address and I will do it for you from this page:
https://twitter.com/signup

This will be (at least so far) faster than finding someone on these forums to do it for you.
150  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What is a good temp and fan speed? on: May 03, 2013, 03:34:31 AM
In my experience, fans die easily, depending on quality, at high RPMs for extended periods of time. I wouldn't recommend over 90% 24-7 if you have to. That said, fans and coolers are a lot easier to replace than a chip not under warranty.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New folding@home team, with FeatherCoin benefits! on: May 03, 2013, 03:24:13 AM
Just to clarify:

That article is 2 years old. There is no such thing as the new Beta 7. V7.3.6 is the default now and is not a beta and is what you download by default if you visit http://folding.stanford.edu/
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Announce] 6-Week Alt Announcement on: May 03, 2013, 03:12:58 AM
Someone really, really needs to make a coin called "altcoin"

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/42471-f-h-core-16-taking-amd-gpu-folding-next-level.html

soon 5000 6000 7000 series cards will have about 2x speed increase for folding. here is results from the beta that was tested for a short while.

A "short while ago" meaning two year ago? That article was written in 2011. I was still actively folding back then and was extremely excited about the OpenCL improvements. The new client has those improvements and more included in it since... April 2011?

Anyway, interesting idea. Moved my CPUs from altcoins to folding on your team for now. Haven't done any folding since earlier this year.

Dude, add some content to your site. Or configure your stuff properly. I am still getting the test page.

Edit: ...

WTF

Hole896, this post is nearly TWO YEARS OLD. Why are you responding to it?
155  Other / Off-topic / Re: We should remove dirty words from the internet on: May 02, 2013, 07:23:09 PM
It has recently come to my attention that there are dirty words on the internet. This is a disgrace.  There could be kids on the internet that could read or hear your dirty words.  That's not fair for the kids.  However, I did read that there are no girls on the internet so maybe this would only apply to boys.

I don't think we need a law or nut'n.  Maybe if when we see a dirty word on the internet we should call the person's mama.  I think if we do this enough, all cuss'n on the internet will stop.

How about being a responsible parent instead?

There have been site filters for a very long time. But the fact that there are browser extensions for virtually anything seems to be less common knowledge.

On a serious note, you are obviously trying to point out the irony in something else. However, I cannot figure out what that something else could be since you make no hints to it at all.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: FED refuses to return back Germany gold after an failed audit on: May 02, 2013, 07:15:47 PM
You'll need a Canadian proxy if you aren't within Canada but this documentary was done mid last month and is one of the most interesting things I have watched about modern gold. The mention of Germany not even being allowed to see their own gold is only a small part. Well worth finding the proxy. Try proxyfire and configure firefox.

An exact clone of feather coin[...]
2. It will also make awards in tar- and feathercoin for anyone who battles tirelessly on this and other forums, against any alt coin clone with only minor tweaks from its predecessor.

158  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: May 02, 2013, 07:01:11 PM
Just got an email to confirm my order.

People with orders need to confirm within 48 hours or their order will be canceled (BFL says they will contact people before canceling orders.)

Stop spreading FUD. I don't know where you read that but Josh has clearly stated that the timeframe is 10 days.
