141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will you do when the market goes down? This is my advice on: April 05, 2019, 07:13:00 AM
Already tried this but trading is really not for me. I have been cursed I think. When I try to sell when market is down, it bounces back again leaving me behind and a little bit of loss. So I never tried on trading again, it is really not for me and for some folks out there. Talent, Analytical Skills, Hard work, money and most of all LUCK.
Lol, you are not cursed bro, all you need first is to take time of trading market, use that period to learn more about trading, especially how to use technical analysis to determine the entry and exit time, get exposed to more trading strategies and during this time, instead of leaving completely, have some coins for the purpose of holding, that one is easier, you don’t have to get yourself worried about the time of selling because no matter how, it will always yield you a good profit if the project is a good one. It takes more knowledge, practice and believes to really succeed in this trading.
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Analysis: BTC/USD Bulls Keep Charging to Upside Targets on: April 05, 2019, 06:02:14 AM
Technical analysis in cryptocurrency works poorly. The exception is Bitcoin, and not always. This time I guessed right. Grin
What do you expect from fake and copycat cryptocurrency lol, despite the fact that I hold large portion of some of them, I still have a little beef about them sometimes for making people not really paying more attention to the one and only cryptocurrency king, if all investment were to be in Bitcoin now, do you know how much BTC would have been ?

If we are to talk about breaking its monopoly, why can’t we just have 1 or 2 more coins as alternatives, instead of all these coins that are out and still relying on BTC to function.

Bitcoin will always stand out and I am sorry to say, all other altcoins are just there and may not stand decades, so if anyone wants to trade, they should better trade BTC against USD, at least with that, technical analysis works for you to be able to decide when to make your trades.
143  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: April 04, 2019, 04:03:44 PM
Lets hope this wasn't another attack like the one that happened because it would be really sad to see bustabit keep getting attacked and attacked until the bankroll and investors money get emptied.

However, if it is just a good win than that must have been an insane roll for him, 153 bitcoins in 26 games equals to about close to 6 bitcoins per win, I don't know what his wager was and what his odds he won etc etc because he deleted his account but I bet it wasn't just 6 btc bet on x2 so it must have been some sort of insane roll luck he had hitting big numbers after big numbers. Hopefully we could hear from him and he would tell us what happened and how it happened (doubt it though, if he wanted to share why would he go up and delete his account) I really hope I can be on the winning end of one of these one day Cheesy.
144  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: April 04, 2019, 01:53:19 PM
I really don't think it really makes any difference that they posted some half-reply anywhere, it doesn't really matter as long as it doesn't solve any problems. D is a D because there is a reason to be, it is not a D because peeps somehow "hates" sportsbet, it has nothing to do with personal opinions, I would have put them at F if I could but peeps probably puts F only on places that literally steals peoples money and not pay them otherwise he keeps it at D.

Sportsbet has been known to be slow and not really community friendly, they have a billion things that is going wrong so far and the only reason they are not F right now is that we can all agree they do not steal peoples money (commonly at least) and still provide a service, that is the BARE MINIMUM required and they are doing that.
145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone now seems excited after bitcoin reaching to almost 5k Usd. on: April 04, 2019, 01:12:00 PM
Of course a lot of people are excited they have been waiting for the rising long time ago, this will give a positive trigger for investors to put in more money, but need to be careful that this another pump and dump scene, its better to stay calm and see the progress in the next few days, don't get overexcited
I also do expected the price of the Bitcoin to remain around $4k levels actually, but I am very optimistic that it may never witness $4200 again the moment it crossed $5000, so if bitcoin will bounce back, it will surely reach $7k before forging ahead to retest some pull-back and finally move to the next target which I believe would be $10k before the end of May. Just like many people are saying, we must all collectively see to it that BTC retains its value by constantly making use of it for our transactions.
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE FOMO! on: April 04, 2019, 12:41:55 PM
It is very glaring here that the rapid increase in the price of Bitcoin was not an unusual one, FOMO must have really played out here and I am sure it will still play out again, many people aside those trading are actually doing more of holding now, especially those who started buying now as a result of FOMO, another one will be created which is expected to shoot bitcoin high to $7000 in a couple of weeks.

I don’t expect to see any form of panic sell for now because we have a lots of investors who are quite wiser now than the previous years.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategy to overcome losses .. on: April 04, 2019, 09:27:57 AM
In the life of every player, there is a common denominator, the Losses, if you are playing in an inspired way and you begin to obtain losses and you retire with a lower balance than you expected, it is logical that many times the mood goes down, maybe there is a little sadness How do you overcome this? What strategy do you use to leave that experience behind and learn from it to come back? Since there are many people who fall into depression and find it very difficult to return.

Particularly, after having this type of experience my brain recreates some movements of bets and mistakes that I made and sometimes I draw good conclusions to avoid falling into errors, apart from which I am going to do some sports so that the bad things go away.
The best strategy to overcoming loss is entering into the game with the right mindset. Those who enter the game of gambling with I must win mentality will always find it hard to overcome any loss. Loss generally hurts and has a negative effect on everyone.

But, those who do not see loss in gambling as a loss don’t struggle with it, they laugh over everyone and get back to the game like nothing has happened because they have seen gambling game as a game of entertainment and the money they commit as prize for playing the game, so every loss is like reducing the amount of time to be spent on the game and when the money is finally finished means the game is over for the day. have this mindset and see how easy it will become.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction also a result of trauma? on: April 04, 2019, 08:30:58 AM
I've been watching Crash Course Psychology recently and came by an episode on trauma and addiction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=343ORgL3kIc&index=32&list=PL8dPuuaLjXtOPRKzVLY0jJY-uHOH9KVU6. This video argues that addiction results from various sorts of psychological traumas related to different events (rape, physical or emotional abuse, war memories etc.). That is, when a person has a trauma, this person tries to get rid of fixating on it with the help of an alcohol (what's often the case with PTSD) or drugs (a good example is the case of sexual abuse of Edward St Aubyn (Patrick Melrose's prototype) and his subsequent heroin addiction). My question is whether you feel like gambling addiction is also a result of desperate attempts of avoiding focusing on other traumatic issues.
Note that I am talking specifically about gambling addiction here, not about people gambling in general.
In my opinion, not all gambling addiction are as a result of trauma but a few cases can be traced down to trauma but a very good number of people who suffer from gambling addiction is not because of trauma, so its self made. Spending too much time gambling leads to addiction.

The gambling game is very interesting and at the same time addictive, players are not advised to spend too much of their time gambling but most gamblers do listen and before you know it they find it difficult to control themselves and in no time, they become too addicted. The few people who gamble as a result of childhood trauma are not as much as those that gamble as a result of excessive time spent on the game.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling responsibly, is it possible or myth? on: April 04, 2019, 07:17:12 AM
You don't win but at least you don't loss more than you can afford to lose.
Gambling for fun and gambling for profit both requires discipline, this could make you succeed by not losing more than you can afford to lose or for those who wants profit, they can succeed with discipline. We just have to choose which fit on our purpose, as we cannot pursue the profit if we don't have the skills.
That’s right. Whether gambling for fun or for money, if there’s no discipline, it will still lead to disaster because some people who are suffering from addiction today started by only playing for fun. Some never imagined it will get to a point in their life they would become so addicted to the game but if only it was controlled at the beginning.

If everyone can apply discipline in playing gambling, there will be no stories of how someone got ruined by playing gambling. So the idea is for whatever reason we gamble, weather for fun or for money, we have to apply discipline from the onset of the game and never gamble what we cannot afford to lose.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Crypto is SURGING | BTC Climbs Towards $5000 | New Bitcoin Miners on: April 04, 2019, 07:03:34 AM
I'm not a miner so I can't give that much additional info and an opinion about the factors for the incoming bitmain miners. But with PayPal making its first investment on blockchain. This made me wowed! I can't think of it that they are into it, a well known payment processor is starting to get into the technology behind cryptocurrencies that's solely created to be an alternative payment option with their business. I searched it and it's legit, it's on coindesk.
If I may get you right, you mean paypal too has already adopted the use of blockchain technology for their payment system? If this is real, I can bet that the whole cryptocurrency idea is just about to boom, do you know how many users of paypal we have, imagine all of the getting introduced to cryptocurrency, there will really be a boom.

I have always expected something extra ordinary to happen in the cryptocurrency space this year, more are coming to join the list, now we have these projects like Facebook, twitter, visa, Samsung already on board or coming on board, and now this great news of PayPal which I am yet to confirm myself.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers will go after IEO soon on: April 04, 2019, 06:31:13 AM
Scammers would always use what they could just to make some money.
So it wouldn't be a surprise if they would make their own IEO they have done it before in ICO and they manage to do a pretty good job on it.
We have seen a lot of scam project last year and I am sure that they would continue to scam us.
You are right, we just need to be careful too in the IEO project we are dealing with and even the exchanges we are dealing with too. I know most of the big genuine exchanges too, especially the one that first introduced it would be doing their own research on what they can do to cover the loophole and guard against such activities on IEO.

But, my fear lies with the smaller exchanges, scammers might not succeed in going through the large exchanges like Binance, but when it comes to these small exchanges that are upcoming and would do anything for money, there is very big chance of seeing their activities, so it is best if we rely more on these popular and respected exchanges.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smerits Hodl on: April 04, 2019, 04:51:09 AM
smerit is aimed at people who really deserve it, the quality of posts is not only about how many words are written but the meanings and answers that really help other questions and readers. good quality reflects itself as well and can also assess how broad the knowledge of post makers not love
I agree it is not about the long message.
It is about the meaning of your message .
Merit is given to those who have posted a very unique or informative message in the forum.
The quality of the post really matters in this but one thing I have also found as challenge to many others who wishes to post quality content is the language barrier, you know the forum is being used from different parts of the world and some countries don’t speak English nor understand English for them to really participate as they wish, that is why so many times.

I have realized that some who wishes to say something which might actually be quality end up using Google translate to change their language to English, and we all know how Google language does, it may not really change it for readers to fully understand the intent of the user.
153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHY THE SUDDEN DUMP WITHOUT ANY MAJOR NEWS? on: April 03, 2019, 09:07:04 PM
Over the past few days, there  was a  significant rise in most of the assets on the crypto market including  the altcoins. For instance the value of Ethereum  also rose alongside bitcoin. It has become rather strange to me that there has been a sudden fall also, I don't know if some major traders or whales are playing mind games with amateur traders. Most bullish and bearish runs comes with a major news but this case was different.
It's not just news that create a dump in the market but activities also contributes in creating a dump in the market, or do you think that the dump we have been seeing since the last quarter of 2017 was caused by a news in the market, if so then you are very wrong, what was happening is that we are seeing a correction in the market which is very normal because a lot of persons who have made profit over the years are taking out their profit from the market.
154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When making a payment with Bitcoin how much extra to cover transaction fees? on: April 03, 2019, 08:34:22 PM
Binance withdrawal fee for btc is 50k satoshi if I remember it correctly. I think it is more than enough to cover the fastest recommended fees at the current network. But afaik, the transactions will not be made with exact 50k satoshi, as most exchange adjusts it based on the latest network condition.
If I were OP, I will prefer to withdraw from binance to my own wallet first then pay to Gunbot from my own wallet. Paying for something is better from our own address imho.
So are you saying their withdrawal fee is 50k satoshi irrespective of the volume one wishes to exchange ?
I have not really taken note of that actually, I just pay whatever fee they asked me to pay without calculating the cost of it if its high or not, most of my transactions has its record and I will look through them to really ascertain this, once I put the amount of BTC I wishes to sell and they display it to me, I have not taken not if it has a constant 5 in it, I just go ahead and accept, I need to change this attitude before they will charge me half of what I intend exchanging one day and I will permit them to do so without knowing.
155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic selling and postpone from trading, which one is the worse one? on: April 03, 2019, 07:56:50 PM
When we are losing our money then it is not easy to hold it so people might do something to cut off their losses but the thing they need to do is if they are selling too early then they need to buy back when the prices gone down or it is not going to give any benefits for the traders.
Reason for panic sell is that most people don’t even believe that much in the project they invested it, the fear of uncertainties pushes them into panic sell which I can really put the whole blame on investors panic selling and dumping coins because most of this project too are not really pushing hard to make investors see the reason why they should hold on to the coin other than the lies they keep blowing on telegram.

I have invested in a project for like a year now and until now they are still telling us about their future plan without seeing any effect of the past promises, at any slight opportunity I have to dump the coin, I will not hesitate to panic sell too when they enter exchanges.
156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dangers of a HODL’er: on: April 03, 2019, 07:07:20 PM
I usually just ignore most of the stuff I see here on a daily basis but you've got to really take some credit for somehow managing to put together a coherent sentence and yet make absolutely no sense at all. Maybe I'm so tired right now I actually comprehend what you're trying (very hard) to say.

Hold, sell, buy, doesn't do anything to change market cap. It's the eventual and cumulative effect on price that's the effect, and then the direct relation of that to marketcap causes it to grow or shrink.

And since when is trading more important for "virtually everyone to do" than carrying out payment transactions?
Well, I can actually pick some vital points from what he said, it depends on level of interpretation for each of us and our personal interest, to me, in as much as it is much more important to carry out transactions with cryptocurrency which is the main reason for its creation.

I think it is also worth trading in the meantime, so that the market can continue to function properly, if the market is strictly used for utility purpose, would it not have been boring to you by now ? because the moment it gets to the stage where it is strictly being used for payment of transaction, there will be little or no much price movement that will make it useful for investment, just like the fiat currency, it will only be useful by then for store of value like GOLD.
157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here we are! lovers' of bullish trend. on: April 03, 2019, 06:28:15 PM
The market is doing good this past few weeks with little significant rises. Though this may not be enough to be called bullish trend. This is just a good sign for the market but not a sign for bull run. We already experience almost everything here in cryptocurrency. A lot had been lost already compared to year 2017. So, this little stability may not be considered bullish trend.
For the general market, especially that of altcoins, their price increase may actually not be termed as bull run  like you said but from what I saw bitcoin did yesterday with its speed, we cannot deny the fact that we experienced a short and quick bull run  and I think Bitcoin market is already on full bull LANE  ready to gain more momentum to reach its ATH, just can’t say about other altcoins, I still don’t know if the bull run  of this year for bitcoin will have any positive effect on the altcoins market because as it is now, people may eventually end up changing their coins to Bitcoin in the main time to maximize its profit potential.
158  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com 2 Just Launched! New games, updated design 💎💣🎰🎲♠️ on: April 03, 2019, 05:43:10 PM
Well, it all depends on the luck number he has and eventually it all gets back to %100, if you play long enough you are not going to either become rich or find a loophole in the system.

Faucet is a great way to test out the games so I definitely wouldn't suggest just "leaving the PC open until tomorrow" method because you are missing all the fun, having 660 satoshi is not the fun part, you will end up losing that if you play long enough anyway, losing it is definitely not the fun part neither, the fun part is to watch your money go from 5 to 660 to zero and get excited and hyped about it all.

Gambling and betting will never make you rich unless you bet once and hit big, you are going to get the most entertainment during the betting stage not the money counting stage.
159  Economy / Gambling / Re: OneHash || Mutual Sports Betting & Casino 🎲 || No Registration or KYC 💰 on: April 03, 2019, 04:14:08 PM
There is also always the problem of the first one coming in when it's onehash, when there is two teams battling out if you bet on any other sportsbook you go against the sportsbook itself, here you have to go against other people and if there is no bets available it becomes a bit of a challenge to be the first one, however when there is already someone betting than it becomes a much better option than any other sportbook, so that first one mentality is the challenge for onehash, if you guys could find someone to bet than you become the best out there hands down.

Wait for the bull to come, when it does the number of people who use bitcoin will increase and when that increases you will have much more customers and those customers making the books filled will attract even more customers I believe it.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make profit from a dice game? Have any unique strategy? on: April 03, 2019, 01:10:06 PM
Thanks to all who replied in my thread to help me about the dice game. I have now scanned some posts and find that there is no way or strategy for surely winning a dice game. Only LUCK is the factor that can help to win a dice game.
You are welcome mate, am happy you can accept the hard truth that luck is the only factor to winning a dice game and with this understanding nobody can deceive you with any strategy, just have fun and go ahead with all your game and pray for luck. I remember how desperate I was in search of dice strategies when I first started but since I got to know about luck, that’s how I have been playing this game since when I can remember and there has been several times I’ve really been very luck. Good luck to you.
