141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many new projects are now available for users for testing on: February 03, 2024, 02:22:16 PM
Can we expect any rewards , for participating in them in Q4 2023?

There seem to be many new defis that have potential airdrops in the future just for participating. I have tried one called kinza finanace in BSC chain, it gave points on amount of coin you staked or provided liquidity and also through referral activity. The cumulative point would decide the amount of airdrop for each users in the future. The point contest is still running and kinza I believe is also featured in binance. Another similar defi but in Solana blockchain is kamino, they also have points that would determine the coin airdropped. And there are launchpools like tonup where you get new coins for just staking the up coin. Not sure if it's a feature or early promotion.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it valid to invest in a gaming projects? on: February 03, 2024, 12:34:49 AM
Don't know about that specific project but there are three projects that are getting a lot of attention as they are now available on epic game store. Star Atlas, Illuvium and Shrapnel all three are listed as early access games. These three are the first block chain powered web3 games to be listed on the store and their success would determine the future of blockchain powered gaming. Sharpnel has investors like Polychain Capital. Griffin Gaming Partners, Franklin Templeton and Brevan Howard Digital and all three of their tokens are already listed on exchanges.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Black Rock Influence on: February 02, 2024, 05:15:59 PM
Black Rock and Vanguard has been discussed a lot. It's said they control more than 50% of the world money but in reality, they are just fund manager that manages the users fund according to their choice for a small commission. They just make it easier for it's users to buy and sell. Black Rock had been the leading force in listing Bitcoin and ETH ETF as it were demanded by the users. The group may have a number of bitcoins but most of those in stat are users money and the Black Rock group itself have no full authority over it.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use profits from the crypto market? on: February 02, 2024, 04:45:24 PM

1. Have you ever been profitable and taken profits in the crypto market?

The crypto journey for me has been profitable as I have a larger portfolio than how much I have invested on. Yet I'm not satisfied considering how early I had started and how much I've made profit.

2. How did you use that profit? Do you use that profit or reinvest it?

I for the most part do reinvest in. Sometimes losing while sometimes winning more. I also have a bad habit of gambling away my crypto profit on casino gambling. So, I haven't withdrawn anything till date.

3. Do you think using profits is also important for your investment journey?

Certainly. You are not going to live forever and you are not going to be young forever. You should take your profit and enjoy your. For me, I'm just hoping I won't get old till the next bull run.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What price can XRP realistically reach this bull run? on: February 02, 2024, 02:53:37 PM
I first started buying XRP in June last year and did so in the hope it could reach $7-10 this coming bull run.

I am just wondering how many of us hold XRP and what realistic price target should be this bull run?

I am currently 7% up on my position and wondering if I should hold till peak of bull run next year or swap it soon for something else

$7-10 is a very optimistic expectations from XRP. The current price of XRP could be called a good buying range but I'd suggest you to have some moderate exit points so that you don't miss on the profit on a bull run. Have at least one exit point at $2, that would be x4 of your buying price. If you even place 25% on that point, you'll get back your investment and could have those left 75% to be placed on any other optimistic values so that you could have complete profit. Maybe 25% on $4, another 25% on 8 and another 25% on 10 or 12. So, that you get the profit intended on an ultimate bull run but also not missing out on small bulls unless the large bull never comes to XRP.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC likely to approve spot Ethereum ETFs on May 23 on: February 02, 2024, 10:30:27 AM
This would be a good news and it would clear up many hurdles for other crypto to be listed as ETF. Though the approach are mostly from large traditional investors, yet the listed crypto and cryptocurrencies as a whole would benefit from this ETF.
It would be much more beneficial for traditional investors that don't want to learn about using crypto directly or doing the taxes. Investing as ETF would make the taxes easier.
It would increase the legitimacy of ETH making the people once suspicious of crypto realizing it's a good and safe investment, increasing the investment in the coin.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do low fees matter most in choosing crypto platforms, or other factors? on: January 30, 2024, 02:15:25 PM
When choosing a cryptocurrency platform, do you prioritize seeking out those with lower transaction fees, or do other factors such as security, user interface, or available features take precedence in your decision-making? Share your perspective below and let's discuss the key considerations within our community!

All of the popular platforms are audited by different security firms and security wont be a big issue.
After that the key thing I look for is the availability of places to invest my money. And than comes transaction fees.
A new L2 network might have much cheaper fees than BSC but if they don't have enough dapps for me to interact, I might just abandon them in favor of something better.
I look to invest in projects that give me passive income, that's why most of my coin at the moment lies on TON which have options where I could get more than 100% APY for my staked coins. The second largest and the most in stablecoin lies in fantom where a dapp is providing no risk 50% APY for USDT and the third is solana which has a huge new opportunities to explore.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is MATIC the new ADA CARDANO? on: January 30, 2024, 01:39:56 AM
What do you think? despite being quite popular and well established, MATIC seems very slow, in the style of CARDANO during the last bullrun, promising but not delivering anything...

There are currently a lot of competitors in this segment of second layer solutions, what is your opinion on this? Will MATIC lose part of the market to these other projects? It would be a shame, I think Polygon is very interesting.

Matic is better than Cardano in every sense. The only pros of Cardano is it's a L1 system while matic is a L2 over ethereum.
Matic is leading on every metric The price of Matic is at the range of $0.8 while cardano is $0.5.
There are about 2000 working dapps on Matic while it's still below 100 for cardano. Dapp volume on Polygon is on the range of $1.4 billion while for cardano it's just $50 million.
The daily transaction on matic network are in millions while it at thousands in Cardano. Cardano is no way in comparison to Matic.
But both of their growth has slowed down due to severe competition on the sector and saturation for current volume.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BRC20 NARRATIVE IS SLOWLY TAKING OVER AS WE BUILD UP TO HALVING on: January 29, 2024, 06:34:48 PM
BRC20 are bunch of garbage on Bitcoin network. They are just normal DeFi projects and meme coins that implement on Bitcoin network while there’s bunch of it existing on other network.

This is not new and the only thing that makes this project hype is because Bitcoin currently on hype due to ETF and Halving event. People that investing on this bullcrap what the shithole they enter once whales that playing them starts to use them as an exit liquidity. Just like DeFi on Ethereum hype before, This madness will be over once there’s no new liquidity flowing in their ponzi like projects.
A few weeks ago, Bitcoin dev Luke Dashjr proposed updating Bitcoin to remove the BRC-20 token but was met with fierce opposition, perhaps because Miners did not want to give up the huge transaction fees from Inscription. Now that the Halving is coming, the market's attention is on the Halving, not the worthless Inscription. I believe that Inscription will soon be forgotten on Bitcoin and other blockchains in the uptrend, only a few truly outstanding tokens like ORDI will still exist because of being listed on major CEXs.

BRC-20 has limited functions. They suffer the same problem of what bitcoin transactions are facing. There's no future for BRC20 and its better to shelf early that to push  it forward as a failure which could tarnish the BTC image. Luckily they have not attracted as much attention as people had hoped for.
The argument about using the decentralization and security of bitcoin network may impress some but most people jumping for NFTs don't care about them.
150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 29, 2024, 05:06:15 PM
Another thing the traders should have is a plan. Many of the traders do trade on emotions and gut feeling rather than having a proper plan to take profits or stop loss.
An example of myself when I first started leveraged trading, I put my bet on a coin and on my first time it hit it's higher point at 4 hours since I bought. I was so happy with that 20% profit that I invested both my principal and profit on the same coin at a larger leverage. I should have thought there ought to be a correction after a price jump but I did everything cause I didn't had a plan.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What are your stance on SUI on: January 29, 2024, 02:48:12 PM
I recently came to know about SUI https://sui.io
But it's already one of the top coin by marketcap (45) and popularity (11) and many people are comparing it with Solana and TON and claims it to be the better alternative.
It has also been widely covered in media and I feel like I already missed this SUI train. But Yesterday I got a news that SUI  had hit a low resistance of 1.31 and are bouncing bac.
I have not yet made any move on the coin yet and it's already at 1.4, I just want to know what the community this about it? Are there any red flags? Is it really the next Solana?

152  Economy / Economics / Re: What did elon do wrong in Twitter on: January 28, 2024, 02:59:23 PM
Twitter is no longer publicly traded so you won’t be able to buy any shares unless you know Elon personally. I'm not sure it will ever be a good buy again even if they do become listed in the future. I see a lot of ads for crypto scams, which is likely not a sign of having healthy revenue. They will have to look at other sources of income besides ads. There is speculation regarding X Payments, but seeing how poorly Twitter is being run I wouldn’t hold my breath that it will live up to expectations.

X(twitter) is no longer a public company but is private. It's true that X is in some trouble not making enough money to sustain itself as many of its traditional advertisers has boycotted Elon. But Elon has a record of turning a dying company to a leader and twitter still has a huge userbase and Elon Musk has deep pockets to run X for years without a profit and try different things.
There are news of X going to implement an in app payment system that would also accept crypto as a depositing option. With different, innovative and radical experiments X could really be the all in one app for the whole world.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Donald Trump sells $2.4 million worth of ETH on: January 28, 2024, 02:27:29 PM
Presidential candidate and the most popular leader of the United States, Donald Trump is unsurprisingly not a huge fan of crypto but it's found that he has been profiting from the crypto riches.
The Ethereum came from a NFT on Trump theme. Though trump was not associated with the project, he got royalties from it in the form of Ethereum. The project is licensed from the Trump's company to use Trumps name and features. The royalties were over 1075 which the trump team recently sold for $2.4 million.
The use of crypto by presidential candidate is a sign of easing up with crypto and we could further see candidates accepting donations via crypto.

154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: January 27, 2024, 04:31:22 PM
There are several ways I measure my success in crypto. The first of it and for almost all would be the financial success. All of our real life prices are on fiat currency so it's not a surprise for people to measure the success in % of profit made on fiat investment. That's what brings most people to crypto.
But there are other learning associated with crypto that makes me realize understanding things such as economics and technology are success.
Setting up solo or pool mining to a new currency was a measure of success for me in the past but now it's more like finding and using a L1 or L2 network to take early bird profit for staking alts and stables is giving me sense of success.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple looking for ETF, would it be the second one? on: January 27, 2024, 02:47:43 PM
There have been news of Ripple looking for experts to go for XRP ETFs. Considering the centralized nature of Ripple ecosystem and organization, they can be more specific on meeting the demands for being listed as ETF. They also don't have the issues of POS or unlimited supply like Ethereum. They have in past been considered the 2nd most popular altcoin after Ethereum. Would they win over Ethereum this time to be the 2nd crypto based spot ETF available for trading in US market? Is it going to have a positive impact on the price of XRP? How likely are the chances, what do you think about it?

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Altcoins Investment Experience on: January 27, 2024, 02:12:54 PM
I did invest in lots of altcoins and i received many tokens from bounties as reward. I experienced that, most of the tokens turns into shitcoin or dead after a few months. Some Altcoins performed very good for a certain time then all of those lost 90-95% of values and still traded on exchange with so called volume. Thus process is continued. Even top altcoins also replaced by new altcoins. 2017 vs 2023.

Moral: I think BTC and ETHEREUM is better option for investment, Can be trusted blindly, profitable for long. Low Ranked Altcoins, Memecoins and shitcoins are just headache and reason of huge losses in long time. But anyone can invest his money wherever they want.

BTC and eth are surely safer investment but they won't bring us the profit that some other altcoins can bring. Not every new tokens are good but it's also not difficult to see which could achieve a success. It doesn't necessarily need to outrun it's competitor but need to operate as it's meant to and bring in profit for the investors. In my experience a good L1 or L2 ecosystem token with a solid technology would never disappoint you if you were able to get in early. Solana is an good example of a recent rise. Similarly it's not difficult to consider a comparatively faster and cheaper network would be the next big thing.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: January 27, 2024, 12:23:33 PM
Is DOGE Coin's Rise a Sign of the Future of Cryptocurrencies, or a Fleeting Internet Meme Phenomenon?

Dogecoin is not decisive factor for the future of cryptocurrencies. They were on a down phase as their tokenomics and tech was becoming old and absolute but the strange support from one of the most influential businessman Elon Musk, it saw unprecedented rejuvenation. He twitted multiple times about Dogecoin and for a brief period, changed the logo of the than twitter bird to the dogecoin mascot.
Rise of a single altcoin can't be the cause of movement of all the market as they individually have a lower market cap and some of them are rising and falling due to the coin specific news and events everyday. Bitcoin having a more than half of the total crypto valuation is still the force that moves the market.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: January 25, 2024, 03:51:44 PM
I fellas I have two questions to ask crypto experts and investors in this forum today

1. Is this a good time to build crypto portfolio?
2. Do you really think that bear market will be a dipping as 2018?

Now that crypto is gaining more investors day by day and crypto adoption is increasing massively I don't think that the next bear market will be crazily low like 2018/2019, what do you think?

It has been two years since the question was asked and the answer to it is still the same. It's the right time to accumulate crypto before they becomes too expensive and you miss out on the train or the rocket. Prices of some coins were much lower in 2021 that what they are today as we already had a small bull and we are on process of consolidating that rise. Coins like bitcoin has doubled while solana increased by 5 times. The prices are trying to stabilize around this range. When a lot of people have bought crypto and current average price, they won't be willing to sell it at current price that would make way for another price jump.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE VERY TRAGIC MOMENT IN FUTURES TRADE HAPPEN AGAIN. on: January 25, 2024, 03:33:03 PM
We will always hear this kind of stories especially during the bull run, some people will lose, while some people will make money. The sad reality is there's a lot of newbies who are convinced that trading or investing is profitable, but in reality, it depends on your knowledge and skills, and it's like gambling where one could make or lose.
Yup, newbie who are so aggressive lack of knowledge but only guts, they are the one who've become the milking cow of those playing around the market. The problem is, some of these newbies are victims of so called hype in social media and they are the easy target, we all know that in trading, someone will lose and someone will gain money from losers.

Futures and leverage trading are risky business and people should not venture towards it unless they have plans for every market movement. A good trader should have loss stopping strategy and know where to book profit. For lesser risks, it's better to trade with your own money as even though the price crash, you'd not be liable for more than your own money.
Investment on the other hand is a much laid back approach towards crypto. You don't have a loss until you sell for a lower price than you bought. Historically crypto always had been on upward trend and having patience in investment would pay sooner or later.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can one achieve Crypto millionaire status with meme coin? on: January 25, 2024, 02:36:42 AM
Meme coins are hit and miss. But for people who have an eye for coins that last a few more pumps and dumps it could make them a millionaire quiet fast.
Provided the meme coin increases by 1000 times than what a investor bought in with $1000, you are already a millionaire and it can happen in a matter of week.
But no one can be sure about the ultimate meme coin and might just have loss on multiple of coins. Investing on meme coins are more like a gamble than an investment.
The people that can still profit from the volatility of the meme coins are traders who follow technical signals and put profit taking points and stop loss effectively.
