Most cryptocoin programs do not use an installer (you simply unzip them and they work), and thus they won't appear on that list. Those which are installed through an installer do appear there.

Nobody knows what could become worthy. I mined a couple of Dogecoin blocks when it was released just for the lulz and then stopped. Turns out I had mined what now is valued at 0,5 Bitcoins in 30 minutes. I could have made much more had I continued mining DOGE.

On the other hand, I invested significant mining resources on the coin known as Offerings to Cthulhu and there's not even an exchange for that yet.

No Windows binaries for mass adoption = Epic Fail

- Yep, it's dying (= difficulty going down). But it won't die soon. I've set up a microinstance at Amazon EC2 which will be mining this during the next 3 years. And in 3 years I could set up another to guarantee the network will be active. It's just $33.33/year and I like the coin.

- There is no exchange. A sci-fi coin exchange was to be created for this and others but the project was scrapped. How would you convince an established exchange to add this coin?

This is great! I'd love the possibility to add my non-traded cryptocurrency balances, though. Maybe add an "Other" option on the list that triggers the appearance of a textfiled where you can write anything.
