I agree with OP and this is how I usually describe things to people who tell me they should own altcoins because they're cheaper and have more potential to grow. I tell them that owning bitcoin may feel like something risky but owning altcoins is adding on top of that risk because altcoins react to problems of bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency ecosystem, but their price also reacts to their own problems, problems of their inventors and even people who advertise them. There's no reason to add risk on top of risk.

I have a friend who told me that he invested Bitcoin because someone told him to do it and promised something huge in return. It sounds tempting on his end but not mind, and guess what? He is now asking for help because he lost all the money he invested from scammers.

Historically speaking diversified investors have always had more success and staying power than those who put all their eggs in one basket. How sure are you and what prove do you have to show that Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto? Though he can come out in another identity but may not also want to make it obvious that he is still around because with the kind of mad technology that is in place now, if anyone brings convincible facts to prove they are Satoshi Nakamoto like bring a solid proof of ownership by signing any of the Bitcoin addresses he used in the past before his disappearance he will not be as smart as before to abscond the government this time around because they will do everything necessary to make sure his true identity in reality is known.

Fiat currencies can get weak due to economic problems and other reasons surrounding the economy of a country, but I don't see any point in your post where you describe the reason why you think fiat currencies will become volatile just like cryptocurrencies because an asset will only get volatile if it has a limited supply and it isn't controlled by a central authority. A country can't let its currency become volatile, it can gain and lose purchasing power, but that's a different thing altogether.

Cryptocurrencies on the other hand will barely become usable on a larger scale for multiple reasons. The very first reason is that countries and their governments won't allow cryptocurrencies to take over because if that happens, they will lose control, and they won't be able to do anything if they lose control because control gives them power.
