Next ICO that has to go up in value - read the whitepaper and research the industry.

ASSETRON ENERGY Token Sale is on now - an Australian company developing a blockchain p2p Investments platform for renewable energy.

This project will not only make it affordable for business or community to afford their own renewable energy - especially when they can't get a loan (ones that pay more than 10k USD per quarter in power)

The investors will receive passive income from their investments, which is also done through cryptocurrency - so lower taxes, fees and more profits.

Another type of ICO I was wondering about with regards to your view on it would be digital advertising ICOs like Papyrus for example. Considering social media and digital advertising are growing exponentially in this age, do you think Altcoins would have any potential to penetrate this space?

Papyrus is probably the 3rd or 4th project I’ve seen related to a new token being able to control advertising.

They cite a lot of business problems, which seem legitimate. But I don’t see how they can solve them.

Papyrus states the following as a Papyrus Advantage (solution to problem):

Quote
Controlled advertising
Users are able to create precise policies to control what ads they see and what data they share with advertisers.

How?

The majority of advertising that you see is from Google, Youtube (which is Google), Facebook and Twitter. You can’t control the advertising that they show you. When you search on Google, it shows ads on top of the search results. How do you think Papyrus is going to let you control that? Are they going to hack into Google’s servers? When you watch Youtube, it shows commercials at the beginning of the video. How is Papyrus going to let you control Youtube? When Facebook shows ads in the right column, how are you going to stop them? Is Papyrus going to use a blockchain to stop these ads? How?

The biggest source of revenue for Google is AdWords and Google is the biggest advertising middleman on the internet. Therefore, Google AdWords is the biggest form of advertising on the internet, and it runs on Google's sites. How is Papyrus going to interfere with this?

For all of the other sites on the internet that have ads, most of them use Google AdSense. They put Google’s code into their website, select some parameters and let Google serve the ads into their websites. Then Google charges the advertiser every time a visitor clicks on that ad, and pays a percentage of that to the site owner. How is Papyrus going to interfere with this?

Papyrus has all of these fancy diagrams, but no mention of Google Adwords or AdSense.

The people who controls the advertising are the people who control the traffic. How will Papyrus convince these people to let them take over control?

I didn’t read all of their information, so maybe I missed it. Maybe someone can explain to me how a blockchain is going to enable Papyrus take control.

I really doubt the stuff will work, there are as you said to many of them already out there and I don#t see how is going to benefit anyone. Beside the ICO guys.!

Wow amazing thread! Seriously thank you fro your work!
But I would even subdivide the last categorise. Because I guess for most of the investors a good return is the most important part of the investment.
A ICO can be legitimate but still won't make you rich bcs they fail.

3 kinds of ICOs - Protect Yourself

Very good read! Impressed what some users do here.

But in in general I would add more categories for the Legitimate ICO when it comes to the "return of money".
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CIVIC, Basic Attention, ... Starnge ICOs with large fundings! on: October 28, 2017, 09:06:10 AM
Actually Civic is one ICO I had spottet in time and I had tried to join it, but the only way to buy their tokens was through an app on your mobile phone, and it turned out that my phone was not new enought for their app to run there and so I have missed this ICO. A bit unfair, I think they should have made it compatible also for phones which are a few years old.

I don't know honestly with this fat Vinny i don't get why anyone invested there. The project itself doesn't make any sense its just fat Vinny trying to scam ppl.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survey! Investing in ICO on: October 28, 2017, 09:05:16 AM
After investing in a lot of Promising ICO's I have come to a conclusion on how will I invest in ICO's further.

I would invest only in ICO's that shows promise and doesnt allow accredited users with crazy bonus, who will dump right after it hits the exchange, 99% chances are that you can buy the same even lower than ICO price, irrespective of how promising the project looks.

Consider the likes of Blockmason, Blackmoon Crypto and many others. Always invest in ICO's which hasn't provided any bonus to some accredited inverstors.

Exactly for me it seems also very promising if an ICO doesn't allow this bs Boni for the participants bcs it sometimes seems more like  gambling than an ICO!
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best ongoing or upcoming Pre-ICO token sale on: October 28, 2017, 09:01:26 AM
Here is my list of pre ico token and upcoming ico that has potential to boom in market. I will invest my money here.

1. Atlant.io - World's Real Estate Blockchain Platform
2. Spectre.ai - broker-less financial trading platform
3. Cartaxi.io - automated service for car towing
4. https://tokensale.gameflip.com/ - Crypto-token for buying and selling gaming digital goods
5. https://utrust.io/ - The future of online payments

I like Spectre.ai too but it seems they have still some problems with their ICO and their whole stuff they wanna do in general!
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Big Dev Teams Successful?? on: October 28, 2017, 09:00:43 AM
need to be honest, an investor mostly pays attention to the just number of people in the team, they usually skip to read and research the reality of writings about them. some projects that i have seen have a big but empty team. i think big dev team is not enough for success.
if a project is really good and the team members are smart in related subjects, they can be successful.

I would realllly give money for it to know for what the majority of investors looks for. Because as far as I understand it its mostly not the ppl from bitcointalk who invest into projects anymore but some buiness angles who simply have to much money.

Sounds like a great question to ask the bitcointalk community.

Yeah would be very interesting maybe someone has a bit more insight into it!
149  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Military Photos/Videos Thread: on: October 25, 2017, 02:13:53 PM
The russian military has long been does have a force that ca not underestimate , even russia famous with the most aggressive.
The current world is all about Nuclear Weaponry which makes all other weapons nearly useless. That's why the USA are very aggressive towards the North Koreans simply exploding a nuclear warhead over the USA will take out their radars and allow any incursion into the country.

Its not that easy they don't really have the technology to reach the US soil

Universa.io seems really promising project in my opinion to develop the new blockchain structure which already resolved the problem in the old blockchain. don't miss it and get your place on universa.

Yeah Universa is great bcs I simply like the Idea of the Blockchain but its so limiting nowadays and so expensive. Actually BTC / ETH etc is bullshit, its extremly expensive to be honest.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survey! Investing in ICO on: October 25, 2017, 02:09:55 PM
Guys seems like the majority really invests in ICO  Shocked I thought that with the huuuge amount of ICO there is actually no need to invest in them anymore bcs basically every token is cheaper after the sale.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Ico's work ? on: October 25, 2017, 02:09:04 PM
Put in pennies and wait for them to turn into dollars.
That will take almost a year and we must be patient to see about the chart of the altcoin will get hammer anytime. i hold 10k iconomi and i sold them at $3 for each token and that's your point.

Well I don't like putting pennies in and waiting for dollars. Better put some dollars in and wait for multi dollars.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Ico's work ? on: October 23, 2017, 10:32:21 PM
Hi Guys.
In the last few days I'm studying 10 hour a day this new world of cryptocurrency.
I came into the ICO thing.
Now i'm just wonderting one thing...
I've seen that since the ICO, some crypto have gaines ridicolous % like 40.000% (Stratis), 20.000% (Ark), 7.000% (QTUM), 6.000% (Lisk) and so on.

I think I can't understand how this work probably.

Does it mean that if I invested 10.000 euros in Stratis ICO, now I will have 4 Millions Euros ?
I don't think it's possible, I can't believe something so easy to get rich exist in this world.

I've been though that you have to work hard, create companies, give value to people and so on in order to get rich. Are all those bullshit ?
I'm kind of shocked. Do you know anybody who become really rich with this cryptocurrency things or those are just legends ?

I've also read somewhere that most of Crypto who get those bumps, is just because you can't convert them in real money and just use them in some close marketplace and so on.

Somebody is so kind to explain to a newbie how does this work ?
I've also seen the bitconnect scam thing... seen videos on youtube about guys making tons of money with that, how this is possible ?

They never gained so much. Lisk never made 6000%.

Yeah it really works, myself holded couple of times coins which would be now worth hundred of thousand of dollars.
Well the problem is you always sell to low you have to HODL but when you HODL to long you are out...

Basically yeah thats it, btw for making companies and getting rich is also a possibility. It's not like if you have a company you do waaaay more just be smart.
Hard work never pays only smart work does.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survey! Investing in ICO on: October 23, 2017, 10:28:13 PM
Hey guys Smiley its going pretty well our survey. Vote more so we will have a more representative survey.
Summed up it seems that even thought there are many shitcoins most of you guys invest!
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CIVIC, Basic Attention, ... Starnge ICOs with large fundings! on: October 23, 2017, 10:27:04 PM
I have also had the same impression, that even though I'm spending a lot of time researching I'm finding out about most of the very cool projects when it is already too late, and I asl myself how do all these people with all those millions always find them in time...

Actually I guess it works a bit different for ppl who are investing millions into this ICOs
AS FAR AS I get it now it works the following:

1. Big investors get "special rates" for the ICO
2. They get in contact with the ICO on all the Events around the globe
3. They are interested in inevesting bcs they wanna see a good return you can't double a million $ by trying to guess which shitcoin is pumped next
4. Investing into the newly hot shit ICO waiting 1-2 months after ICO selling for double amount and making another million

157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best ongoing or upcoming Pre-ICO token sale on: October 23, 2017, 10:24:17 PM
Check out some ICO rating sites they are doing sometimes a good job sorting the ICOs acc to their importance.
So check it out and you will find the hot shit, although its harder than it seems to find really good ICOs

158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CIVIC, Basic Attention, ... Starnge ICOs with large fundings! on: October 23, 2017, 10:23:14 PM
I tryed to downlod Brave browser. Idea behind BAT is not intresting for me. Very dificult for browser. If people want to surf internet they will use easist ways. Also I amnot willing to pay websites I use offten...

BAT is shit. It will not see mainstream

Only hype because of Firefox creator behind BAT.
But Firefox is simple free browser thats why it atract people.

Brave no ..

I really not understand how Tokens like BAT could collect even 10$ dollar the idea is shit everything around the ICO is shit just the devs are some clowsn.
BAT just another shit even the brave browser still unfinished and that has a lot of the bug. Why so many people are interesting to invest on that shit. But what is your opinion about denta coin?  Roll Eyes

Well Denta Coin (My Signature campaign) I can suggest you as a Token as an ICO which is different from all other ICO which have been becasue you are directly supporting the Denta coin team  Grin and not another team.
Please tell me about your sig coin?
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Big Dev Teams Successful?? on: October 23, 2017, 10:21:48 PM
Honestly who really thinks that this teams are even real?!
Have ever anyone seens a picuture of the whole team holding up in the air something and posing for a photo?
I don't think so, all the ICOs nowadays are SCAM this are some ppl who meet each other online that's it and it's called a "team" wtf...
