I hoped Juventus could win this match before the match started but that didn't come true because this match ended in a draw. Juventus, playing at home, is not strong enough to beat Inter Milan and this indicates that Inter Milan is very strong this season and is at the forefront of winning the Scudetto. I was a little disappointed with Juventus in this match because after winning 1 goal they couldn't play better to maintain the advantage they had.
I think you shouldn't feel disappointed because Juventus could get 1 point at least. With this draw result, Inter Milan also gets 1 point. So, there is no change in the position and no change in the point gap. In the match today, Juventus seems to be more defensive, they used 5 defenders. Meanwhile Inter Milan played more offensive, they used more midfielders. According to this tactic, we actually can assume that Inter Milan has a bigger chance to win because they play offensively. So, get 1 point isn't a bad thing for Juventus. They are lucky that there are no more goals made by Inter players. In the second half, I think Inter Milan dominated the match. I think this draw is quite fair for both teams. The match between two elite Serie A teams is difficult to predict who will be the best. But I quite enjoyed the match and I think the competition this season is getting more competitive. For me, the match was so boring to watch especially the 2nd half. First half was a bit more entertaining to watch but 2nd half was so boring match due to so low number of goal attempts from both teams. Inter was dominating the game in both half but they could not maximize the ball possession. Juventus did their strategy well but as a result they did not make even 1 goal attempts in the 2nd half due to the bus parking strategy. This result is also an advantage for the other competitors such as Milan and Napoli because the point gap to the 1st place is not increased much. The competition is still long way to go, the current top 4 teams still has the chance for the scudetto. Team with the most consistent performance will be the champion. @Bitnity you’re right because it started to feel that both team’s were settling for a draw and in games like these one team had to take a more risky approach to secure those 3 points but both Inter and Juventus decided against taking a risky approach. Yeah, those numbers. I think I need to get started with more FUN savings before next year starts. I am still stuck at some 22K FUNs but I am not buying them in bulk. I was surprised with Chelsea's performance today i was expecting something better from them against Newcastle but it was a disappointment as usual, watching how they play against Manchester City everybody's spirit was high just watching the way they play, now this Chelsea fans left in disgust and are disappointed. A. Gordon was really active in this game and gave Newcastle a well played game he gave one assist one goal. Of it you talking about the man down Newcastle has already scored 3 goals already so the one down was around 73 minutes. And maybe they under estimated Newcastle they have forgotten you don't joke with Newcastle and Newcastle always make it to top 5 so them winning is not surprising after all. That is football strategy might fail and might be used against you by the opponent.
Chelsea’s performance is not predictable anymore, it seems that they are going back to their initial ways of inconsistency in their performance because I see no reason why they should lose this match today after playing well against Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham this season with the same squad they use to play Newcastle United that suffered some defeat in the previous weeks due to injury and fatigue. Even though Newcastle United’s main striker Isak is back from injury, they still have couple of players that are out due to injury which means they yet to fully recover from injury problems, then why will they defeat Chelsea? Now it is now four games in a raw that Chelsea plays against Newcastle without winning, I hope Chelsea will work on their performance soon because they cannot qualify to the Champions League through top four in the Premier League this season with such performance.
Arsenal on the other hand played a goalless draw in the first if their match away from home against Brentford, Arsenal is dominating the match as expected, but Brentford is very focused and also willing to get some points in the match. Sure, no one expects Girona to join the race for the title. There is no in history this team ever win La Liga title. They also have average players and they are managed by an unpopular coach. So, we can understand if people don't expect any thing from this team. When they can be in the top of La Liga, it makes sense if people assume it is caused by luck factor. However, we as football lovers know that winning 11 matches, 1 draw, 1 lose only can't be categorized as lucky. Girona must have something to achieve it in the top league like La Liga. Girona has a quality squad although there are no very popular names. Well, for the next matches, it will be very challenging for Girona because they will play against some strong teams. They will have schedules against Athletic Club, Valencia, Barcelona, Real Betis, Atletico Madrid. If Girona still can survive at the top of the table after these matches, I can feel confident that they deserve to be the candidate of the winner. The possibility of losing is very small because currently Girona is at the top of the standings, meaning the players will definitely continue to try their best to maintain their position and get a win. Even though there is only a difference of one goal, that means a lot for Girona. League this season and shows that their strength should not be underestimated; this is like what happened to Napoli last season, who were enthusiastic about winning. We are about to return to the Premier League after the national break finally so it is time to revive this topic once again. We are returning with an amazing game at the same time: Manchester City - Liverpool ! It is literally the situation because it is the opening game of the week.  The current odds for this game are like these:  Manchester City are quite favourite side to be the winner here naturally. But I don't know whether the performance gap would be exactly that much. I watched Manchester City against Chelsea in that spectacular and unforgettable game. Chelsea made quite much difficulties for them. Liverpool are technically a much more productive team than Chelsea this season. For this reason I think that we will watch quite an enjoyable game. I expect BTTS and over 2.5 goals. @ILuckyGuyI personally I’m expecting lot of hostility between these two teams and thus I won’t be surprised if a red card is issued in this game because both teams would like to win this fixture and secure bragging rights. Mazzarri's contract is only until the end of the season for now. He is more like a caretaker manager for Napoli now. But if he shows a better performance then he can surely get a contract extension by another year.  I don't know if Napoli can find a manager like Spalletti in the future. Because that season with him was something very special. Yes, this was done as the best effort for the time being. Because they also carried out the process of dismissing Garcia in a short and sudden time, and in the middle of a season like this. So at least they filled this void by choosing Mazzarri, who incidentally is not too foreign to them and already has experience here. Personally, I'm not sure whether Napoli's decision this time is really appropriate or just hasty because of the many demands from various parties. However, hopefully Mazzari can make Napoli return to its good form in Serie A and also the UCL later. Indeed this is not an ideal position for a team like Brazil, which always manages to ensure a place in the main round of the World Cup and is the country with the most World Cup titles. It could be that this will be the worst season in Brazilian football even though they have many players spread across the big leagues, but in reality, they have experienced three consecutive defeats which makes it difficult for them to improve their ranking.

Xabi Alonso must be wanting every thing he could achieve with Leverkusen now. Because their look in the recent times has been really incredible. They are very ambitious for the Bundesliga and Europa League both. They are surely one of the top contenders in both competitions at the same time. It is up to how consistent they will be throughout the season. I really wonder how Xabi Alonso has created a bond like this with the players. Because I had doubts about him first because of his being first serious manager experience. It was actually the first experience for him considering managing a main team rather than Real Sociedad B. I don't believe in Xabi Alonso's success in developing wings from Leverkusen, as a former Real Madrid and Bayern player, Xabi Alonso's experience is extraordinarily good, he has a good mix to perfect the team he is currently coaching, Leverkusen is successful on not defeated in the last few matches, they even qualified for the next phase in the DFB Pokal and European League, I'm sure Leverkusen will continue to be successful if coached by Xabi. in group H, leverkusen is firmly at the top with unbeaten results. Xabi Alonso was the good player and now his performance with Bayer Leverkusen is giving him good time to show his best as coach which is surely impressive in this season if they are able to achieve something big surely things will be good for the rest of his future in Bundesliga they are at the top and in this UEFA Europa League they are also having good chance for the staying into hunt for the title their performance and achievements are giving all review how he is managing this all. Manchester united needs a coach that can align with their way of play so until such a coach comes to the club they might still be finding it difficult to win more matches. Players requires to be in good understanding with their coach before they can be able to perform real good in matches. Ten Hag has never coached a big club like Manchester United in the past. He was the coach of Ajax for a long time. He was successful as the coach of Ajax. The Ajax team performed brilliantly with the help of Ten Hag. But I would say Ten Hag is not experienced enough to coach a big team like Manchester United. He was a complete failure with Manchester United. If Manchester United were a mediocre team I would probably say Ten Hag have succeeded. But Manchester United is a renowned team in the Premier League. And they want to win titles. And if Ten Hag is Manchester United's coach, Manchester United has no chance of winning the title. United need a coach who has enough experience to manage a big team. @Iranus Ten Hag was experienced enough to handle Manchester United but due to his ego he asked Ralf to leave and then decided to do what Ole did create a group of favourites and didn’t drop them and now he’s paying a heavy price for doing that during this seasons matches. Lastly while there’re way too many injuries but his decision to leave Varane on the bench, play Fernandes out of position should also be blamed and maybe sacking him might just save our season. |

Replacing Babar was not an issue but replacing him with players that are not performing or not even part of squad is a concern. Normally with new captains we have hopes but not with Shaheen and Shan.
Wahab Riaz is currently the care taker minister of sports in province Punjab and along that he is given the role of Chief selector of Pakistan cricket team. He will also play in Peshawar Zalmi under captaincy of Babar Azam. Normally such posts are given to some experienced plays or those who have some administrative experience but Wahab Riaz is too young for this role. Don't know what links Wahab Riaz has in Pakistan to get such key posts without having a good cricket career.
In case of Shaheen Shah Afridi, at least he will be a part of the playing XI for sure. So there is nothing wrong in giving in a chance at the top post. At least we can be sure that he will not end up like Temba Bavuma of South Africa (who will not be even in the playing XI if he is not the captain). And now coming to Wahab Riaz, what is the issue if he gets a good role in administration? Younger people also deserves a chance, right? The old school guys have failed PCB so far. So there is nothing wrong in giving a few chances to people like Wahab IMO. @Sithara007 changes were supposed to come after their poor performance in the World Cup and I’m not surprised they have decided to make drastic changes because it’s a step in the right direction. Furthermore I totally agree with your point because the old timers have failed constantly and maybe this is a risky decision but it’s high time they took decisions like these to improve their overall performances. |

Glad to see that I can post about the ICC World Test Championship once more. The world cup fever has died down, and the fact that India once again lost at the last stage after performing so well in group stage will definitely help in shifting attention away from the limited overs format. The IPL is at least 3-4 months away, and till now the attention will be on test cricket. In a week's time, the WTC is going to resume with the match between Bangladesh and New Zealand. The first match will be played at Sylhet. New Zealand is going to struggle, as they have done against Bangladesh while playing under sub-continental conditions.
@Sithara007 I wonder if people really want to see test cricket right away because I’m feeling they’ll be tired with seeing so much cricket and thus I won’t be surprised if the viewers ship is lowest for this series. Lastly New Zealand will be hurting from their World Cup exit and hence I feel they could perform much better against Bangladesh and probably even win the series. |
