143  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Perjalanan 2017 - Now, Bagaimana Perjalananmu? on: June 04, 2023, 12:27:23 AM

149  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and Remittences on: October 20, 2019, 10:49:29 PM
Unlike bitcoin, the currency made by facebook has several limitations. Facebook is US based companies, companies like this will not be able to serve customers in countries that are subject to U.S. sanctions. Paypal and mobile banking are on threat now. facebook has up to two billion active monthly users, when those people use libra as the main currency for their transaction then paypal and mobile banking will lose their customer.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies Pose Risks to Banks, Warns Basel Committee on: October 20, 2019, 10:10:44 PM
Since many people prefer to do transaction using cryptocurrency, bank profit from money transfer fees is continue to drecrease. This is the failure of bank, bank can not provide fast and low fees of money tranfer. Bank should provide service that can satisfy customers, if bank can not do it then bank will not survive in this busines world.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: What is behind the past few days of rally? on: October 20, 2019, 09:38:08 PM
It is all green candles. Up up up. Why? Is there any news to shed some light on this? The price will probably fall fast now. I think this green streak is not going to last for long.
I think it's happen because the trade war between US and China. It makes many companies in booth countries find difficulties to get material for their production so there are many investors move their money from stock market into gold or bitcoin. That is only my opinion.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong kong and China war can lead to possible Bitcoin popularity on: October 20, 2019, 12:04:20 AM
The protesters were afraid of being recognized by the central entity so young protesters refuse to use a centralized form of payment. This increase trading volume of cryptocurrency - hongkong dollars pair. The price of bitcoin on tidebit ever reach $11400. Atleast there are 39 crypto ATMs and pundi X putting point-of-sale device in local restaurants, it is very good because it ease people there to spend bitcoin and altcoin.
153  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Money - The Greatest Scam on: October 19, 2019, 11:23:27 PM
I would say that paper currency is the greatest scam ever to enslave mankind.

Bankers charge interest for a thing which has been created out of thin air.

The paper currency gradually decreases in its value due to inflation over time.

So naturally people tend to move towards cryptos which are free from inflation and the bankers and big economists once again want to pull back people to the traditional enslaving system.

Now the choice is yours.

Enslavery or Financial Freedom?

Think Wise and Twice.
Paper money is bad, since the end of bretton woods system in 1976, there are some countries that benefit from this situation. Powerful countries that it's currencies are easily traded internationally, obtain the wealth of other countries just by printing paper money.  The world must use the same currency. But I think its not a scam, it's just have been manipulated by strong countries.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe is against Libra. Who else? on: October 19, 2019, 04:11:00 PM
Hey everyone.
Yesterday I've read an article about European countries opinion on Facebook's Libra. There are a lot of negative statements about it. (Not without Trump's tweets, of course).
What's interesting - there were no official responce from Libra yet. But they still planning to launch it in 2020.

My question is - will launching Libra change the statement 'cryptocurrency is not money' in better way or it'll make worse?
Actually we don't really know what the exact reason behind the creation of this libra. When mark zuckerberg was on trial because of personal information problems on facebook users, many people suspected that mark had had a special relationship with the government. But we should not be prejudiced againts facebook. My personal opinion is we don't need to argue about that statement will be changed or not, maybe it's better for us to focus on the main purpose of the creation of libra which is to reach the current unbanked population. I hope europe and all continent will accept libra because it can indirectly increase the price of bitcoin. I don't think that cryptocurrency pose a risk to consumer or financial stability, but I think cryptocurrency can improve the world economy if government regulate it in a good way.
155  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: October 18, 2019, 11:58:24 PM
The success of digital wallets in the African continent was really great and based on what I've read on news articles about it, it really helped the economy and the businesses when it all started years ago.
With this in mind, will Africans be welcoming of bitcoin/altcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to earn cash or invest? Like using it as real money / cash?
Actually the good trend of bitcoin adoption is not only happen in africa but around the world. Many people in my country now use digital money to buy food and other thing. The world will become cashless society. Africa now is good place for crypto, especially libra. Since facebook assure congress that libra will not exacerbate money laundering or terrorism funding, people now look at crypto more positively.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will Be 1M$ if all countries Ban it on: October 18, 2019, 10:34:01 PM
IF the whole world ban BTC at first BTC will Crash very hard but only for a few month, Demand will be increased while there will be no Legal Seller, All trade will go to undergrand and  Black market and illegal traffic, sellers will start to selling BTC 50 X more than current price. BTC will be more expensive, As simple as that,
That was an answer for these who said BTC will die if whole world Ban it, So no BTC never Die.
I don't understand how can the demand for bitcoin increase if it is banned all over the world. So do you assume that people who can't use bitcoin anymore will sell their btc and contrarian investors will buy it at very cheap price then hold it? May be it could happen. But government continues to try to reduce the level of sales on the black market. For example, indonesian government finally launched the international mobile equipment identity rule to eradicate illegal cellsphone or black market. Bitcoin will survive no matter what but it would be better if the whole world accept bitcoin.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 85% of All Bitcoin Have Now Been Mined!!! on: October 18, 2019, 03:54:42 PM
I saw that today bitcoin has increased in price and this has made me interested in looking for news about bitcoin and I found this article which in my opinion might affect the rise in bitcoin prices today. try you see this article

https://www.trustnodes.com/2019/08/01/85-of-all-bitcoin-have-now-been-mined

what makes me interested in this news is the statement that "Just circa half a million coins (about $ 5 billion) are now left to be mined until next year when the block rewards are halved to ₿6.25 from the current ₿12.5" the statement made me asking "is mining next to bitcoin still existing (effective)? or will people start leaving to mine bitcoin?"
What do you think? are your thoughts the same as mine?
Need more than 100 more years until all of bitcoin is mined. Mining cost is not small, energy consumption for mining bitcoin has now eeached more than 2.55 gigawatt. I think the number of it will continue to rise. Although the profit is smaller but it seems that it even makes them even more determined. Bitcoin as investment is very profitable. Maybe some people think that 100 satoshi is not very valuable but we don't know the price of bitcoin in the next 10 years.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Walmart and Crypto? on: October 17, 2019, 03:58:46 PM
So, looks like Walmart are joining the token market. Keen to know your opinions on how this will impact Bitcoin and the Cryptocurrency e-commerce space?
Atleast there are two important reasons that make walmart interested in cryptocurrency.
1. To reduce interchange fees
2. To enchances cross border remittance
In 2013 wallmart paid roughly $3 billion in interchanges fee. It seems that wallmart has good reason to find way out for it's problems by using cryptocurrency. I think instead of still using the traditional way of doing transaction we better use a more modern way that is certainly better. Bitcoin price will rise because when wallmart pay it's employee using cryptocurrency it will create demand for bitcoin. It can be good sentiment for bitcoin price.
