When I read what you guys say about investing I am kind of convinced that we should bring investing back. Running a site with private bankroll is great, we have more freedom in running giveaways, competitions etc., but I have a feeling that we are missing something.

We keep discussing it and looking for a good golden solution. I hope there is one and I think I might just found it...

Cheers,
Ethan

Please bring DOGE investing back! Crypto-Games is going to remove investments just a week from now. Now it's your opportunity to get investors from there.
142  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 WEEKLY COMPETITIONS, fast bets BTC LTC ETH DOGE on: March 01, 2020, 03:19:56 AM
Any plans about adding DOGE investments now that Crypto-Games is about to not allow investments anymore?

Yolodice hasn't had investments since I think September 2019. Not sure on the plans for them coming back at all.

Now that a big competitor won't allow them anymore is the perfect time to allow them again. Specially for DOGE, as there are no decent alternatives, unlike for investing BTC.

Terrible news. At least you could had allowed current investors to keep their investment. Eventually you would had achieved your goal of decreasing the investments from "outsiders" anyway, but this way you would at least let those that helped you grow stay with you, while still getting a fee from their investment profit. I'm very disappointed.

I think it's reasonable to be disappointed, but I also think it's reasonable for them to change terms or cancel investments (even if abruptly). A bankroll investment sort of has this nice liquidity aspect, where you can pull your funds at any time -- but i think it's fair that that cuts both ways. I'd obviously feel very different if the investment was some sort of tokens or stake of the actual business but you (or at least me) don't invest in a site because it'll be profitable in the future, but because it's currently worth the risk/reward.

When I ran my casino, I always just had a private bankroll as I had enough funds that I could do that, and I suspect as crowd funded casinos themselves make enough money "going private" is just a sort of natural end and a positive outcome (compared to something that keeps investors up at night: exit-scam risk).

I think the other natural end would be the casino keeps increasing the commissions to the point that it still makes sense for them to keep having a crowd funded bankroll (e.g. 75%+ commissions on profit). I've always wondered if that would be preferable? Or would just generate too much bad will

Regarding buying "shares" in the casino, that could be an interesting option but quite harder to structure, the current system is way simpler.

75% would surely make most investors withdraw, and those that wouldn't would be paying so much that it should be attractive enough for the casino to keep them. At least in that case investors would have the option to stay, instead of being thrown away like nothing after years of helping them.

I'm going to agree that the site should have some way to benefit long-term investors. Some have been here since the site launched and have only continued to build their stake (and show trust) in the site's various coins. It's sad to see this situation happen. I understand WHY it is happening, and from a business perspective it makes sense, but there should be some way to say "thanks" for everyone who helped make the site possible and successful in the first place.

It doesn't make much sense from a business perspective. If in the future they start some other project, or let people invest in the casino again, potential investors will be more hesitant. This is only beneficial for them short term. Just not allowing people to increase their investment is the most reasonable option, as they would eventually achieve their goal of owning all the bankroll, but while letting investors stay if they want to (and they benefit from charging them a fee).

What is beneficial for them would be beneficial too for current investors. There's no need to get rid of those that helped them build this business.

Not really.

Having access to the entire profit is not the same distributing the majority to stakeholders in the bankroll.

In order for Crypto-games to grow, it needs funds. I doubt CG can simply say to the stakeholders, "hey is it OK if we take all the profits for a while to spend on marketing, development and other things needed to grow?"

How do you imagine that conversation would have went? I think you know the answer.

I support this decision, it's for the best in the long-run of the platform. Maybe investments could be re-opened at a later date when Crypto-games is where it wants to be.

My answer is yes, I trust in your ability on using those funds properly, as you have shown to be a well run business and I guess most of the the bankroll is owned by the owners of the site. If I didn't trust you, I would had never invested in your business to begin with.

I'm glad that Crypto-games is pulling public bankroll investments.

This will allow the team behind the platform to earn more money, and can hence spend more money on marketing and a redesign.

Let's face it, the site needs a redesign. Hopefully, it finally gets one now.

What is beneficial for them would be beneficial too for current investors. There's no need to get rid of those that helped them build this business.

I could totally see why they would want to stay away from the investors and I could also understand why it looked like maybe there could have been better ways as well. If they already have a lot of money of their own that they saved up during this period, why wouldn't they just simply continue to do it all by themselves? It makes sense honestly and I could totally see it being a proper managed if they have enough money.

However, I also do understand that current investors, it is wise to decline new investors however telling the current investors to remove their money in 30 days could be better handled, not that they have to since they have the money for it but they could potentially just let them continue for another 6 months or so while giving them some sort of notification a lot earlier than just 30 days.

They could simply not allow to invest more, just to divest. Eventually they would achieve the same goal but at least they would let those that helped them grow stay with them.

Is there any decent place to invest DOGE now that neither Yolodice nor Crypto-games allow investments?

"Winding down bankroll investments

As many of you might know, CryptoGames has not always been a crowdsourced casino. When we first started accepting bankroll investments, the idea was simple, allowing users to participate in the bankroll would enable the site to offer higher limits on betsizes and thus give it the necessary room to grow. The investors in turn would be included in the distribution of the site's profit and share its success.

Making this decision has played an essential role in bringing the site to where it is today, and we are incredibly thankful to all investors, some of which have stayed with us for several years, for their continued participation. We appreciate the trust you have placed in the site and also the organisation behind it. However, storing huge amounts of users‘ funds over a very long period of time comes with a lot of responsibilities. Responsibilities we have always taken very seriously at CryptoGames.
Over the years, we have spent a lot of time, effort, and also money on managing and securing bankroll funds. We’ve set up a secure way to store those funds, and we did set up processes to distribute funds, whenever that was necessary. Chainsplits like those of BTC/BCH or BTC/BTG did cost us a lot of additional time that we couldn‘t spend on improving the site itself. But we’ve been happy to do these distribution processes, because our first priority are always our users, both players and investors. We try to do right by you, and felt like this was the most fair way to handle the situations.

In this spirit, we have also always considered the impact for investors when making changes to the site, or setting up new promotions. In many cases, this has limited the ways in which we could adjust the site‘s structure, and the options we had to run promotions.

As of right now, we do believe that accepting public bankroll investments is no longer beneficial to the site. The advantages they provide are dwindling while the risk connected to them has been increasing more and more as the bankrolls and their value grew. It is a risk we are no longer willing to take and as a result of that, we have decided to shut down our bankroll investment option. This will also allow us to focus efforts that had been previously tied up with maintaining investments on other issues, and it will give us the freedom to change the site in a few ways we had previously not been able to. Further, it will allow us to run additional promotions and events, without having to consider the repercussions for investors every time.
What does this mean exactly? As you might have already heard, we stopped accepting new investors a little while ago. This was the first step towards removing bankroll investments entirely. In a second step, as of right now, no new investments can be placed, regardless of whether you are currently an investor, have formerly been one, or are completely new to the site.
Currently active investments will stay valid and continue to work in the same way they have before for the next 30 days. During this time we encourage all investors to remove their investments. After that 30 day period is over, investment calculations will stop and any leftover funds invested will be added to the active playing balance of the specific accounts.

Additionally, since we expect a huge amount of withdrawals over that period, and since many investments are very big in size, please understand that those withdrawals cannot all be covered automatically by our hotwallet system. Bigger withdrawals will thus be processed manually and this can take a little while. We expect that most investment withdrawals will be handled within 24 hours from being issued. Thank you for understanding.

If you have any additional questions regarding this process, feel free to drop into the chat and ask our moderators about it, or send us a mail via the support interface, and we will do the best we can to help you.

Thank you for playing at CryptoGames."

4. Bring investing back Wink

"Investors vs players". We keep talking about it every week when we have coffee with Scott... There is a high chance we'll do it, but we need to sort out some other things first - like better cold wallets, different commission mechanism and a few other technical issues.

I can't wait! Especially bringing back DOGE investing would be amazing.

We have been discussing where to go with YOLOdice next, and I want your opinion about it. I have no plans to convert YD into a "game hub", but one or two extra games to kill time would be fun. And we want your feedback before starting coding!

1. Lottery - a PvP lottery has been on our radar for quite a long time now. The idea would be pretty simple - the more tickets you buy, the higher your chance to win the pool. The prize pool grows when more tickets are being sold. Not sure yet how long the rounds would be. Maybe 12h, maybe shorter, maybe a week, maybe random, maybe a few rounds at the same time. The main prize would get the most of the pool, maybe the second prize would get a small reward too.

2. Any other game - there are number of games out there. Do you think we could implement any? Keno, growing multiplier games, slots... There are many, but how fun are they really?

3. An original game - we have a few ideas for quite original games not found anywhere else that work in "provably fair" paradigm, have instant rewards, requires decisions when playing and could be fun. It's still an idea that would take same time but... could happen.

What do you think? What would YOU like to play at YOLOdice?

Cheers,
Ethen

It seems like now the profit graphs are accurate and show what investors actually made, instead of what they would had made if there were no fees for investors. Well done.

Any notable whales betting big on Bustabit lately? I feel like the site hasn't been buzzing quite as much ever since PredictableLegacy deleted his account.

There are more action on Bustadice.com
You can follow daily wagered here https://dicesites.com/bustabit

Daily wagered on Bustadice is way lower than on Bustabit.

Fraud site.  I sent .14 from primedice to my account on bustadice.  Never got credited.  Then my account got deleted.  Daniel has not helped solve the problem. FRAUD
Is there proof of transaction if you send it from Primedice to Bustadice?
Users of this site also run Bustabit and Bustadice sites which I think will not commit fraud because of their popularity.

Either he made a mistake or he is paid by a competitor to post lies here.

I noticed something playing crash here.

If users place a high bet, you are usually busted before 1.50x. But when the odds are low, the pointer can go up to 50x.

This is, of course, my observation, it may be wrong. But I have long observed the same thing, and so far, this result has not changed.

Besides, I respect Bustabit for creating a sustainable and provably casino.

Selective memory.

@whyrqa-1 No problem man,,, just enjoy the game!

And what an end to the ETH competition. Anyone who invested in ETH must also be very happy with the results, since the prize pool was almost x3 of the actual prize pool. This is what I call a competition very well done. Good on you guys.

Top prize was won by 1,111 ETH So his 14 ETH prize is still +EV!

Anyone who invested in ETH? Investments are unfortunately closed. ETH investments weren't even an option before.

How are investors finding the new format?

Are most happy with the commission structure? What sort of feedback are you getting about the change from people that invested?

Of course we are not happy, expected returns dropped 1/3. At least that extra edge the casino is getting could be partially used for running some promotion to drive traffic.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : now with added CLAMs : Play or Invest on: October 10, 2019, 12:35:50 PM
You don't even need a 3rd party app. A long time ago, I was able to auto-roll by modifying some code on the main page using Firefox. A million rolls. I enjoyed playing that way, but eventually lost.

You can lose 8 times in a row even if you have it set to 90% chance to win.
No one would do million rolls because they know they will busted if they keep playing on any dice sites.

Anyway, on yesterday i received an email from Poloniex about they are going to delist CLAM soon, which made CLAN price down a lot because of dumping from people. What will you do dooglus? Once poloniex fully delist CLANM, it's mean there are only 1 exchange for CLAM, thats Yobit. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/clams/#markets

It was shown a long time ago that they don't care about investors. This casino is where I lost the most in my crypto investments thanks to how much CLAM dropped even if there were CLAMS profits from the casino (most of it was staking). Fortunately I didn't keep them or it would had been even worse. Just Dice would had been great if they had simply moved to Dogecoin (or didn't close Doge Dice). It had fantastic reputation when they stopped using Bitcoin, but choosing CLAM was a terrible decision.

It would had been way better for most investors if they had just closed the site, so none of us would had ever bought that shitcoin.
