Hi OP,
I have same board, H81 Pro BTC R2.0. Whats the status of your issue? Can your board detect all six cards?
I believe this is much popular board; possibly issue with your mobo.
Would be great if you update.

Rizwan

Thanks. What would be the bottom line for 1200W? - Is ETH + x is a showstopper?

Thanks. Valuable comments.
What do you suggest if I start with this setup; can I increase the power capacity by adding a 525W PSU pulled out from the Dell desktop? Right now, I don't know about the design of that but just asking about the possibility/feasibility.

Hi,
Would 6x RX 580 8GB [Typical Board Power (Desktop)=185 W] be okay for Corsair HX1200i with:
- AsRock H81 mobo - Samsung 135GB SSD - 2x 2GB DDR3 - Intel G3220 CPU
Thanking you in anticipation.

Rizwan

In most cases reset switch landed under power switch connectors. First find on mb fpanel connectors.
Hi, it was at the back of the case.

|

Look at your MB's documentation. FWIW, a reset switch or on/off they won't matter if plugged to (+) or (-) end on MB as long as you plug to respective pins.
Hi. I have couple of questions in my mind: 1) Are power and reset buttons same? Mine is reset button because it was on the back of the casing. It doesn't click but just comes up when pressed. 2) Would this thing fit in H81 as it is or need some change e.g. the black wire that seems unnecessary. 3) Is the image in my post a switch/connector or a jumper? Please see this warning for the placing jumper: 4)Would placing reset button instead of power button work? 5) Would the system be already in the ON state when powered on (its a reset button so does it assumes that system is already powered on or would I need to press the reset button twice to power on the system? 6) Can you please let me know in what position my switch will be placed on the motherboard. Here are two pictures, zoomed-in and broader snapshot of the motherboard area: Thanking you in anticipation and looking forward for your valuable response.

Hi, I pulled this switch from old Dell desktop. It should be working and hope can be usable. I have posted couple of queries on the image. That's here: Thanking you in anticipation. Regards, Rizwan

Does that work or just a fluff?
Thanking you in anticipation.

If you look for a really valuable ICO - then it is definitely Signals.Network Platform for trading bots! You can find more info here: https://signals.network/join/1376C9It is a platform for trading bots. You dont have to be an IT specialist or genius, if you know strategies etc you can create signals or bot and sell it on the platform and make money. The bot will trade automatically without you or with your consent. Each but will have a review wrote by users/traders so you know what you buy and use! I truly like it so I already bought bunch of tokens during presale ongoing now. Hi,
I have G3220 Pentium 4th Gen. CPU that I intend to use on H81 PRO BTC R2.0.
I need confirmation that this CPU will work for mining. I read that there is >4-6 GPUs detection issue in some processors. Would it give pain in detecting the GPUs?

Hi,
Can you please help me in correcting my understanding on how riser will be connected on rig.
Please refer the following image:
Thanking you in anticipation.

Riz, i'll save you a world of pain. Do yourself a favor and throw that #3 SATA cable in the bin. Then read this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/wiki/hardware/risersNow repeat after me "Do not use any included harnesses that converts to SATA" Your local fire department thanks you Hi bigjee, Thanks. Great help indeed Understood that ver007 mustn't be used. Can you please advise which type of cable should I use in place of cable #3?

It should detect out of the box even with a G1840 although I suggest a better processor like a minimum of G3240 and a recommended corei3 4130 which are almost same price with G3240.
Windows 10 Pro is the best for mining, if it doesn't detect out of the box enter in Bios change anything like PCIE slot and after the restart it will detect automatically.
My personal experience with this board is that it recognizes automatically the cards, at least that was my case with 6x RX 570 8GB Sapphire Nitro.
Thanks. Is CPU a showstopper? Reason asking is that I have a bit old CPU (not remember exactly which model). And in my part of the world its already pretty hard to find the CPUs for this board. In Nicehash the G1840 it will run slow and sometimes crash, other than that if you use directly Claymore, EBWF it will work normally. I suggest go with minimum G3240 which is about 50-60 USD new and a lot less used if you can. It is not a showstopper. I have G3220 Pentium 4th Gen. Would it give pain in detecting the GPUs?

Nr 3 connects to the same PSU with the SATA connector. I recommend not to use this wire that came with the riser but connect directly from your PSU.
Could you write down your model of your PSU? Then I could make a schematic how to connect all the wires.
I have Corsair HX1200i. Would really appreciate if you could make a schematic diagram. Risers/GPUs is a big grey area for me and I am full of doubts, fear about that.

Hi,
Did your AsRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0 detect 6 GPUs out-of-the-box or you were required to:
1) Change BIOS settings 2) Change CPU (probably some CPUs can't detect more that number of GPUs) 3) Other, please specify
What expert quick tips I can get from the members who have 6 GPUs successful operational experience with H81.
