Cap the difficulty change and implement 1 block retarget using the last 288 blocks (which would imitate the current intended retarget time of 1 day) sounds like the best plan to me.

RPC (the way you connect to the client for mining and such) is 1337, P2P (the way the client communicates with other clients) is 1336. I added this to doubloons.conf to only trust andarazoroflove.org: addnode=andarazoroflove.org
maxconnections=1 If you want to only connect to andarazoroflove.org, use connect, not addnode. a complete working conf file in the first post would be nice, i start with some connections then after a few blocks of syncing they die off

Great update for a great coin.
Yer welcome matey. Is there gonna be some more pools for this coin, I would mine it but given pool is CRAP. Share submits over the roof, no stratum, high stales, inaccurate hash reading, and developer didnt even change the coin name, it still says BTC in my account... If this coin is gonna be serious please get a decent pool...

Have any game servers been implemented yet with the coin?
Someone over on the Minecraft Forums says they have it implemented on their server. [link] I have no way of confirming this however. blindfolded is working with a few server admins to get it setup and integrated in their existing economies, I have no idea what the current status on that is. |

As pointed out on Cryptsy chat by another developer, you don't want an angry mob of scammed Minecraft players.
Server security will largely be up to the server admins. The plugin should have complete security against regular players in-game attempting to exploit the system, but you can only make a bukkit plugin so secure. If the admins don't take the appropriate measures to make sure the server itself is secure there's nothing we can do about that. I can't stress this enough: Only trust a server with your coins as much as you trust the skills/honor of the admin. The same precautions you should have with every other online exchange or wallet. |

I was planning on doing something similar for Flaxscrip, including completely redesigning the GUI so it's more functional. There's so many features of bitcoin based crypto currencies it just doesn't handle at all, and there's so much empty space to put it in.

--bitcoind-address should be pointing at the IP that craftcoin is running on, which would be 127.0.0.1 if you're running it from the same system. 192.168.1.1 is almost always a router, so I doubt that's where you meant to connect to.
Wish that was it...replaced the IP in the example to mask the internal network. It's making the connection but failing the check. Should have made it 127.0.0.1 to not cause confusion :/ Edited the original post. Is the craftcoin daemon running in server mode? |
