141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100.000 new coinbase users in 24 hours. on: November 05, 2017, 03:40:43 AM
I’ve come across this news:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-exchange-coinbase-adds-100000-users-in-24-hrs-shows-surging-interest-in-crypto

At first, I couldn’t believe it, 100.000 new users are a lot of users. The article says it is due to CME announcement but what I think as a result of it is that it is just the beginning of the next push. Unless some major unexpected event happens, we are on a bull market for a while.

That's a huge number of new users within a day and it's no joke. Being a popular exchange it sure is the one people will go to if they are new in btc. And also I've heard some hyip sites that supports coinbase users only so there are some who already have accounts in other exchanges tend to make an account in coinbase (based on what I've read in some social media groups of hyip enthusiasts). But no doubt that CME has a great role in this new users of coinbase. If you are into finance and read or heard about the world’s largest options exchange announced they will begin trading in Bitcoin futures you will definitely make sure to buy those coins.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ok guys, Need some help with a negative friend! on: November 04, 2017, 04:23:36 PM
Hi guys, I have a friend who is determined to prove me wrong in regards to bitcoin. Before I respond to him, I thought I would post what he's wrote to me in attempt to "Stump" me and try to get me to stop with bitcoin. I think it will be interesting to see all replies from the bitcoin experts in here and to get a different reply than mine so I can put together a solid reply back. I'll post his email to me below. Thanks in advance.

"I read a lot of the negative aspects of bitcoin and I'm not understanding why you're crazy over it, it keeps appreciating because nobody is cashing out. Since it's not a government regulated currency to exchange, people are getting robbed left right and center going on these black market sites trying to cash out. I don't doubt you can sell the coins, but now people are afraid to try because there's no legitimate way to tell if you loose your money. People are running ponzi schemes because when you trade in the coins there's waiting periods before you get the "cash" and thats when these website wrap shit up and leave you high and dry. I remember you telling me that you can spend the coins in many natural places. That's isn't here in Canada. There is way too much negativity to support the investment for me. The positives are what's making the coin valuable, but in order for something to go up in value dramatically like this we have to think that it's not being sold anywhere and being the rare commodity that is it will naturally go up due to scarcity.
I really think you're making a big mistake with this stuff like everyone else."

You know you should just ignore what he's saying. He's a lost cause and you don't have to prove anything to him. What he said is a clear sign that he isn't and will never be into btc and any other cryptos. Just do your thing, continue with what you're doing whether trading or just simply investing. Once you've gained a lot maybe one day you can email him and ask him how he is doing and then simply tell him something like, "You know I continued investing in btc even though you emailed me all those things and right now I'm having the great time of my life here in Bahamas!" I have friends that I've told about btc months ago but didn't really minded me and now they're all over my messenger asking me for advice how to start in btc. Who knows maybe someday that friend of yours will come around and realize all the good stuff btc has to offer.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: November 04, 2017, 02:00:52 PM
I don't think itls as easy as that. Unemployment is really a serious problem in almost every country. Every year, students are graduating that adds to the rate of unemployment. The hunt for a job are getting more difficult as some companies prefer to hire either more experienced workers or opting for the fresh grads who will accept lower salary rates.

Btc really have a great role when it comes to unemployment. But I don't think it can completely eliminate it. Simply because it's not something that you can have just because you want it. You have to work for it and earn it. And not all available online jobs who gives btc as an exchange for services offered can hire everyone that applied. There is also a competition in btc earning and you have to have the skills and knowledge needed just like in a normal day jobs.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] PROPTHEREUM - Asset Backed Token on the Blockchain on: November 03, 2017, 05:26:48 PM
Projects that are being backed by properties/assets is good. It can attract more investors because we know that in time, properties are always appreciating in terms of value. Loss is minimal to zero here so this project is good and well thought of. Best of luck to the team and hope you raise the funds within your timeframe. Will keep an eye for this ico.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you ever convince or encourage someone to invest in Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 01:40:02 PM
Not really. I didn't convinced anyone to invest in btc because it's hard to persuade someone especially if money is involved and they don't know what you are telling them. I have friends whom I told my endeavors with btc. I explained to them how it works, the advantages and disadvantages as well. At first they got curious but they are busy with their daily lives so I didn't bother or pester them to try and invest. That was exactly five months ago. Now that btc is booming more and more, guess what? Just a week ago they are bombarding me with questions on how to start investing in btc. Not a single day went by that nobody tried to talk to me even those that aren't one of my close friends. So, you see there's no need to convince them because btc speaks for itself which makes people to come to us and seek our advice.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 03, 2017, 07:04:41 AM
October 29, 2017 Bitcoin price ranges from $6,000 - $6,100 and today, bitcoin price is now $7,000. Are you surprise?

I think, if only those people who planning to invest in bitcoin manage to notice this sudden increase. I think there is a high chance that they will start investing.

Who wouldn't be surprised? I mean, it's been a hell of a ride and now we're rising more and more in just a little span of time. Lots of speculations have been going on and now I literally can't contain my excitement where btc will lead us. Surely I won't be surprised anymore if we breached 10k before this year ends.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is causing 7000+ price on: November 02, 2017, 04:11:41 PM
Well, one reason is that more people are now aware of btc and every single day there are people who are deciding to join the trend. And let's not forget the upcoming fork which is the segwit2x. This fork is more serious and better than the last one (btg). More investors are buying in to get more b2x as much as they can which adds to the surge of btc. Just when I thought we'll settle at 6k before the year ends, and now we're at 7k. Amazing!

149  Economy / Speculation / Re: After 6,000$ When will have 6,500 on: October 30, 2017, 06:57:42 PM
When do you expect to get 6,500$ price

Could be this month, since we've reached 6.3K today if I'm not mistaken. Just saw it somewhere in twitter earlier while I was browsing. Not sure if it did in other exchanges though. Like what others say, let the fork come and we'll see where it will lead us. But most definitely we'll be rallying to 7k before B2X for the sake of getting new coins, wouldn't you think?
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: October 30, 2017, 06:17:16 PM
It might cause damage to the tax income someday. But right now, it won't hurt that much because mostly taxes for the gov't came from businesses and of course every single thing that we buy in the market have VAT so even if we use btc in transacting we are still paying taxes. Like that burger you jist bought that costs five bucks or a pack of cigarettes and even that bottled water from the convenience store.

152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why should governments allow bitcoin to continue grow? on: October 29, 2017, 06:48:19 PM
hi there
I wonder why should governments allow bitcoin to continue growing?
after all, they want to have control over the money that we are using

Maybe because btc can help boost a country's economic status on a certain point. What's more important thing that yhe government should not overlook is how it helps those who are struggling due to unemployment. Btc helped (is helping) people to have sources of income while they aren't getting lucky enough to land a stable job. Unemployment rate is a serious situation and it reflects an economic status at some point so it should be addressed.

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: October 25, 2017, 04:00:51 PM
Yesterday the Central Bank of Albania issued a warning about the uncertain and unsafe nature  of cryptocurrencies
They called on people not to get involved. Should we be afraid or the banks are!

Clearly the banks are the ones who are afraid of btc. It is obvious in their acts and their intensive propagation to warn people to stay away from btc. Telling all negative things about it but keeping the information on how btc can be able to help them. Sure, btc have disadvantages because of its volatility but I don't think they have to make people steer away from it without knowing it firsthand.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2nd chance at Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2017, 03:47:37 PM
If someone bought $100 of Bitcoin in 2010 and kept it until now, they would now have around $6 million.

Do you think the same could happen again in the next 7 years? If I now own $500 in Bitcoin could that be worth $1 million+ in the next 7 years? Or is it extremely unlikely for this increase to happen a second time?

Although I want the same thing to happen because it will be a dream come true for most of us who weren't one of the early adopters. But I always tend to side with the reality and I think that that scenario years ago is unlikely to happen. The price will be quite intimidating for others to consider to acquire and it might affect the community of btc.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Saudi's Prince Statement on: October 25, 2017, 03:02:33 PM
What can you say about Prince  Alwaleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia's  statement that bitcoin will collapse like Enron? Do you guys think that it will have significant value on the prices?

I don't even know who that Prince of Saudi Arabia is. I guess he wanted to try if his influence will be greater than those known people who tried their luck to cause damage in btc. But guess what? He will not succeed just like them. I think if it will have an effect it will just be within their palace that we cannot even felt it happened.
