141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin complainers on: May 30, 2018, 01:41:49 PM
I'm more inclined to believe that the people who actively campaign against Bitcoin are people who actually have something to gain from its failure. It could be anywhere from people who just want to buy low (like Dimon) to people who are rooting for competing coins (like some subsets of Bitcoin Cash supporters).
It could also be anywhere from the people you mentioned to a nocoiner journalist who is more active when reporting news about a bitcoin dump rather than a good news about it. IMO they are the ones who play a huge role in influencing those bitcoin complainers OP mentioned(if there are any). I don't see what they will gain though by doing so(unless they are bribed).
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new ATH on: May 30, 2018, 11:15:05 AM
Securing a decentralzed and censorship resistant ledger will always come at a cost. The nocoiners should understand this.
The problem is that those nocoiner journalists will not try to understand it because they don't want to. They simply chose the bliss of ignorance and wants to stick with traditional censored ledgers.
~snip~
once you grasp that mindset. people can learn to chill
People cannot learn to chill(especially those new in the market) because of nocoiner journalist being more active to report a bitcoin dump than reporting a good news related to crypto in general. Most of those who cannot chill panics every time they see one report or two that is like this and easily believes on the predictions included in the article.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Tips for Beginners on: May 30, 2018, 09:09:15 AM
hodl.Buy and Hodl.
Nice tips you got there but I strongly suggest beginners to not only buy and hold because buying and holding is not the best option all the time(specially if the one you bought is a scam coin that will be a shitcoin soon). My advice for beginners is to buy and hold only when market is in the red and if the certain coin you want to buy has potential for growth.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK hospital launches rehab programme for bitcoin addiction on: May 29, 2018, 11:35:14 PM
Utter nonsense!
I think their rehab program is useful to some people who invest in any coin(even if it is just a shitcoin) without doing prior research(and uses gut feeling and emotion in picking a coin to invest into) hoping it would rise. It is not an utter nonsense. Nevertheless, I agree with you that they should first start to rehabilitate people who are addicted to facebook because those kinds of people mentioned above can easily change.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: Permanent portfolio: When you can't afford to lose money on: May 29, 2018, 12:46:17 PM
Should we get more involved in crypto-currencies?
It is up to you if you want to get involved in crypto or not, but it might become useful to you in the future if you got more involved with it.
Should we be safe and have more assets in real world or crypto world?
I think your current holdings are fine as is but if I were you, I would lessen my portfolio in real estates for a better balance and it will be safer if you don't put a large percentage of your portfolio(above 50%) on one asset.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you look at ICO ratings from the rating of the ICO website when you invest? on: May 29, 2018, 09:54:16 AM
Do you look at the ICO ratings from the rating of the ICO website when you plan to invest?
As much as possible, I try not to look at ICO rating website because they only present their subjective opinion that can be influenced by bribery or any other factor. Nevertheless, when I invest into an ICO, I also look at its rating from the ICO rating website if I am not convinced with the current information I got(because they tend to give away some pieces of information that would help complete my research).
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH transaction is cheap and fast on: May 28, 2018, 11:47:35 PM
I want to know why Ethereum transaction is much cheaper and faster than bitcoin ?
You already have your answers so please close this thread. IMO though, ETH transaction is not the cheapest and fastest out there. In fact, transactions that are done on other altcoins such as doge is cheaper and faster when compared to ETH so let's not start comparing the two in terms of transaction speed and fees because some altcoins are far better to use in transactions than ETH.
Whereas, bitcoin is the oldest crypto currency and the most popular one. That's why it cost higher than Ethereum.
You are right that bitcoin is slower because of its popularity(since btc got more volume of transaction per second than eth) but being the oldest doesn't mean that it is bound to be slow because improvements are also being done to bitcoin. Just like what this user said:
Once LN is on and running, you won't be looking to Ethereum for cheap and fast transactions, everybody will be back on Bitcoin imo.
148  Other / Off-topic / Re: BYE BYE BTC on: May 28, 2018, 11:03:48 PM
There are more future contracts than there are Bitcoins. Prices will be artificially kept down just like future gold prices against physical gold.
What made you think that there are more future contracts than the supply of bitcoin? Can you please include your source? If you cant, I shall consider what you say as hearsay.
Bitcoin is old, outdated, slow and uses too much energy.
Why are you still here then? Your signature is telling me otherwise(because it is still bitcoin related even if it is advertising an exchange).
149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the useful tips for beginners? on: May 28, 2018, 10:28:59 PM
Nice tips you got there but I think your tips are lacking something. One of the most common mistake a newbie does is to invest in only one coin which in the end leads to loss if that certain coin does not perform well. That being said, you should have had included there this: "diversify your investments. Never invest in one coin only and always remember to not put all your eggs in one basket".
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Main reason for the price drop on: May 28, 2018, 12:38:55 PM
Do you think this is the reason, or the movements of the market are normal ?
I think this movement of the market is normal considering bitcoin has been on a prolonged bullish trend for a while before this slow decrease to where the price now happens. People(especially newbies who have started using crypto just recently) seem to be forgetting that bitcoin has been into lower prices than this, for this reason, some people who have been using bitcoin for a while(users who use bitcoin since before halving) would only consider these movements as a mere correction.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to make a decision to buy coin with this market situation? on: May 27, 2018, 11:37:32 PM
Ok i will try your recomend so this time i must wait and see and then if i found the highest volume so i still wait the momentumt to take a buy. And when i do some research and read many articles the price all market still going down so now i will bid with 10% - 20% from the current price.
His recommendation is not always a good strategy. It would be better if you would just buy up coins that you think have the potential for more growth in the future(and is dumping a lot). To know if a coin still has a potential for growth, all you need to do is to look for its real world use cases and how active its community and developer is(in the development of their coin). If you see those, then it is highly likely that its price will rise when crypto market becomes bullish again.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Without Ethereum , Cryptocurrency Market won't be flooded with Scam coins. on: May 27, 2018, 10:18:59 PM
Scammers will find a way to mimic and impersonate everyone, everything and everywhere. This has nothing to do with Ethereum, NEO, EOS or any particular platform or company.
You are right because they can still scam people without those platforms that help them create their own coins or tokens easily. With programming skills, I think they can still fork a coin or two and launch their shitty ICO's without Ethereum's help. That being said, do not blame ETH OP, it is one coin with real world use cases and its smart contract is meant to enforce negotiations and increase and not to scam people.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price at $18,000 On Christmas eve ? on: May 27, 2018, 11:41:01 AM
Taking a loan to buy bitcoins is not an advisable thing to do because price movements can be unpredictable at times(especially if there aren't any news to base your decision on). For now, I think there is a chance for bitcoin to sit at the speculated price by Christmas eve but I strongly suggest that you invest only what you can afford to lose(money that is not from loan). That way, you can hold it for a longer period of time if ever btc price didn't reach your target selling price.
154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your best HODL in this Red Zone? on: May 27, 2018, 10:59:55 AM
The best course of action during times like this one is to simply HODL your stash and buy more coins with potential that is for sale if you can. When you have done so, expect to reap the benefits once crypto markets become bullish again. With institutional money flowing into crypto space and interest in blockchain technology growing, expect some coins to show a bullish trend soon.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China believes blockhcain is the fourth industrial Revolution on: May 27, 2018, 09:40:25 AM
Good news, I do not know if the Chinese State Government actually supports and develops Blockchain technology, given last year that the news spread that China banned the use of Bitcoin in the country. Cheesy
As far as I know, China didn't ban the use of bitcoin in their country. Instead, they have only banned trading of cryptocurrency, and not bitcoin itself. This article might help in enlightening you.
Didn't know that China is friendly to blockchain
They are of course since they haven't said any statement that is against the increasing adoption rate of blockchain(besides stopping trading because of some Chinese traders getting unexplained wealth via price manipulation).
156  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Need help on: May 26, 2018, 10:54:23 PM
Do we need to use code In different coin...
I am having a hard time interpreting your question but I will try to answer it according to my perception. Since you are asking if we need to use code in different coin, do you want to ask if you need to have coding skills when creating your own coin? The answer to your question is yes, may it be a bitcoin forked one or not(even if it is made from eth smart contract or not), everyone who plans to develop their own altcoin would need to have programming skills to succeed in creating one.
157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trade history in day trading - What do you think? on: May 26, 2018, 10:09:54 PM
Exactly! I'm pretty good with bittrex but the problem is that their volume is very small lately as shacks pointed..
The solution to your problem would be to diversify your capital into 2 exchanges by the time that it reaches 1 million and 300k satoshi, just transfer a little from it and start using another exchange that has a similar user interface with bittrex. Here is a list of good alternative exchanges that would help you choose the next exchange you will use besides bittrex. Those alternative exchanges somehow got a nice volume and might solve your problem.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are investors got tired of ICOs? on: May 26, 2018, 12:24:44 PM
Obviously in such a hostile environment it becomes difficult for an investor to risk their money.
In addition to that, there is also KYC which investors avoid because they want to keep their anonymity. They aren't just waiting for things to settle, they are still making their moves to earn more profit while waiting. Some of them don't want to sacrifice their anonymity for the sake of profit. That being said, those who want to be anonymous(and others who want to profit despite this mess) invested onto existing altcoins with potential instead of putting their money into upcoming ICO's that are currently being scrutinized by the government.
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Irish authority published its new cryptocurrency taxation guidance. on: May 26, 2018, 09:49:28 AM
if they decided that they will take an equivalent of .01 btc from you, at today's value, no one would agree, and why would they give out their names and all their assets, where will be the anonymity?

Them taking as much as 0.01 BTC from a bitcoin user is impossible unless he/she has a lot of crypto in his/her stash. Also, the Irish government will take it in the form of fiat currency as stated by:
The authors of the manual point out, however, that cryptocurrencies cannot be considered functional currencies as defined in Section 402(1) of the TCA. Therefore, accounts for tax purposes cannot be maintained in crypto. Instead, euro or other fiat currency should be used.
I hope it will reflect a positive effect among all the traders and the countries who are thinking about its acceptance.
It might give off a positive effect to countries planning to legalize bitcoin, but I doubt it will have a positive effect on most of the traders(except to those who trade based on emotion).
160  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is quantum computing threat to Bitcoin ? on: May 26, 2018, 08:24:58 AM
We're talking about most encryption systems being rendered useless.
That will only be temporary since it is very likely that in the future, someone will find a way to lessen the risk of being compromised(inventing a more powerful encryption system that cannot be decrypted using quantum computing).
So can it break bitcoin ? How vulnerable is bitcoin to it ?
It poses a major threat for bitcoin and crypto as a whole since it might enable hackers to decrypt the private key of a wallet but like what I stated above, encryption by that time might improve to withstand quantum computing and in order for bitcoin to be quantum computing resistant, it will have a fork that will improve the encryption of its private key.
