1401  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 23, 2019, 04:29:12 PM
dear yahoo. i have been removed from campaign after just 1 day. I admit i was posting too fast, and realized i do it wrong just the 2nd day. i made 13 posts instead of 20 in that day tho.
maybe i deserve just getting warned for the first time?
please take a second look at my situation.
thanks in advance
There are no more warnings. The 1st week i issued warnings but no longer will that happen.
but i just joined the campaign 2 days ago. you can clearly see i started posting properly since the day 2 but got banned in the middle of the day...
i mean, i wanted to delete my posts from day 1 once i realized i might break the no-spamming rule, but btc were already received in Yobit dashboard, so i thought i would get banned for that.
i just ask for another and last chance, sir. I do fully realize what i did wrong.

Let me help you making your application more appealing.
You were away from the forum as your last post was on June this year.  So you came online 2 days before and had so many things to write or say on the Day 1 and probably that was the reason of your burst posts.

Submit captions... This is community-generated and automated.
It says: "You can submit up to 492 more captions."
I don't think I'll get even close to that number.

You are dam lucky. I have option of submitting 4 captions only

You can submit up to 4 more captions. For-profit/commercial captions are not allowed.

As announced here , Help collect the most notable posts made over the last 10 years., when we submit our own caption will it be added in the list for the public to vote ?

There are 20 captions showed on the page , but whenever we refresh the page, it shows different captions  Huh

...snip...

I still think there should be a Merit restriction, either x total or y in the past 60 days, something like that. Would probably make your job significantly easier but I suppose that it's not your decision to make but Yobit's instead.

I don't think they care much about the requirements but they just want us to spread their signature around the forum. Looks like an army is being created by them no matter whatever the cost is, they will just pay anything to get attention of this forum's users to make their forum filled with the current participants as well as some more piece of the cake from this forum, and while saying all this, I have watched their forum and can say that there is no discipline amongst the users and they are born to post shit like even making 30 posts in just a day to get their quota reached to make those few Satoshis while working as a slave and keeping their forum bumped every few minutes.

LOL and you are wearing that shit Poster's forum signature and promoting it here and indirectly encouraging people to join that forum ?
If they don't care what they post for few satoshi, do you care what you promote for few cents ?

World Test Championship final still very far but India playing its cards right so far, next series is against Bangladesh (One Test) where Indians can fancy 120 points more and widen the gap more, unless Bengali tigers upset them which is unlikely but who knows what future holds.

Its seems the World Test Championship is India Vs the Rest.

India:  240

Others total : 60 + 60 + 56 + 56 = 232
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 22, 2019, 03:30:04 AM
Betting on India is a safe bet for years and that too if they are playing in India as they are dominating every opponent but T20 is different. South Africa has already lost 8 wickets and Elgar is injured and if he does not come back to bat just one more wicket will wrap up the match and the fielding has improved as there was a direct throw from Umesh Yadav in the first innings and now Nadeem Shocked.

South Africans should be happy about it. The torture is going to end very soon. Just one more wicket by the Indian bowlers and it is going to be all over. For South Africa this series was a very humiliating experience. They need to do something radical to stay afloat in international cricket. For a start, they can abolish the quota system, at least for the matches involving the senior team.

They had a few moments to cheer, such as the half-centuries from Keshav Maharaj and Dane Piedt. The lower order batsmen showed a lot of valor and spirit, when the top order surrendered without a fight. I am watching international cricket ever since I was a small kid. And I would say that this was the worst performance by any team in India. Even Zimbabwe had performed better than this when they toured India the last time.

There is nothing left in the match now. It seems that India is playing with some third class team. There is no current in this team left. South Africa was top team when Hansie Cronje was their captain. There is a decline in their performance ever since.

They would like to forget about the series as soon as possible but it will not be easy because they will have to answer a lot of question to their people in South Africa when they go back.

The thing is I think you are a shit poster. Someone who talks a lot without actually adding any value to your posts.

Very well said. I also think the same  Tongue  I do not see reason to create a new thread every now and then, for the same issues/topics which are already discussed in the other threads. Creating a lot of topics is spam indeed.

But hey I could be wrong,I barely know you and I apologize in advance if these words hurt you.

Common, why are you playing safe here. Cheesy
You can share your point of view without any fear.

But I did not see such a requirement in the rules.

That's a great excuse, use it next time you get caught speeding and let us know how it works out for you.

Yeah, Driving on the highway and over speeding and believe no one will notice you. There are cameras there and there are eyes here which will caught if you do over speeding.

I appeal to all participants who have the same problem. Let's join forces against the tyranny of bounty managers. Write here your complaints about the organizers who do not know how to write the rules, and then block without any reason for it. I SUGGEST TO GIVE ANOTHER CHANCE TO ALL LOCKED THOSE AFFECTED BY THE ARRANGEMENT OF THE BOUNT OF MANAGERS. AND YES WRITE CLEAR RULES.
1. ....
2. ....
3. ....
And so on.

So you wanted file a petition against it and  urging the spammers to join hands with you  Angry
Also you think there is a tyranny of bounty managers here ? No, my friend.  If bounty managers do  whatever they like, the forum admins and moderators will not allow it to do.  No one is given a free hand. There is enough check and balance here.
1409  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk.org 10th anniversary on: October 19, 2019, 05:51:08 PM
Although I'm only a bit more than 5 years old in this forum, I'm also curious about the 10 years anniversary.

I don't believe that Satoshi will ever come back to this forum.
His mission is already completed, any way.

While I agree that his "mission" is "complete", Bitcoin was one of the experiences that taught me to never say never (!).

It seems that 10 years anniversary will be even better thanks to theymos.
I'm just sorry that I'm not graphic designer  Cheesy Cheesy
Regarding Satoshi, obviously he decided to choose anonymity and withdraw from this forum but maybe there is some small possibility that he will come back here one day.
Maybe this tenth anniversary inspires him Smiley
I just wish I could ask him a question and I believe so many others!

Unfortunately satoshi will not come back regardless of it is 10th anniversary or 20 anniversary.  Lets suppose we get a message from Satoshi account on this event. Will you believe it is the real satoshi ?
1410  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 19, 2019, 04:26:24 PM
How can I regain the confidence of the campaign and get another chance? Yes, I'm to blame, there were 2 days when I posted too fast. Please consider my request and satisfy, this will not happen again.

If you were given a second chance would not it be unfair for all those 200 plus accounts which were banned for the same mistake or would you suggest to give all of the them a second chance ?  Shocked
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 19, 2019, 10:39:41 AM
The match is stopped due to bad light and it is really strange as we usually do not see these kind of stoppage in India, the official report is that there is a huge dark cloud above the stadium and still 32 overs left in the day and it is hard to tell whether they will continue the match today. India recovered really well from their early blows and Rohit scored another century and i was expecting Rahane to complete the century today and if the match resumes the pitch might behave differently and can swing in the morning.

This year in India the rain has being exceptional and still continuing in this mont is very unlikely in previous years . Also the game was well poised but with the rain the game of the day ended soon and Sharma and Rahane are playing well .

Only 58 overs were bowled in the day and play has been called off. India has regained the grip on the match and it seems they will have an easy run on the match. I do not think India batsmen or bowlers will give them any more chance and the result will be same as like the previous test matches results, one sided.

1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 19, 2019, 08:32:36 AM
South Africa to need to increase their scope to get more wickets and probably rap up the Indian innings by day end today. India have move to 128 runs with still 3 wickets down and if South Africa does not take up wickets now, the early advantage can slip away from them. Both Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane looking comfortable and set now.
To wrap India before the end of the day is highly unlikely as they have two set batsman in the crease and if they are able to pick wickets then they can put pressure and wrap up the game but it is highly unlikely as the batting order is too deep to irritate and frustrate the South African bowlers and even now the fast bowlers are tired and spraying the ball without any line and length and it is easy for the batsman to score runs freely.

They could have done it when India were  3-39 and if they applied more pressure, there was a chance that they could penetrate in the Indian batting line up, but this did not happen. South Africa has the chance but luck did not favor them. India recovered well and once again they are looking to dominate the match.

As per my understanding, there will be only 1 prize of 1 bitcoin to the best submission. Am i right ?
Considering the numbers of responses received, would not it be better to have  0.01 BTC reward each for top 100 images ?
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 19, 2019, 07:32:17 AM
After lunch there is a scope for South Africa to pick another wicket  Cheesy.

1416  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Suspicious Signature Campaign Swirge..com on: October 18, 2019, 06:23:20 PM
Out of all the bounties that have been advertised on this forum, how many paid tokens that were actually worth something? I'm sure that number is under 10%. Out of all the bounties launched on this forum, how many were worth the value advertised in the bounty? I'll bet the answer to that is less than 1%.

Regardless of what they offer, the end value is a token and likely will be worth a fraction of what they are advertising so it's likely that less than 20 users will even join the campaign.

Many more people people will join this , not because they are paying high in tokens but because the duration of the campaign is only 4 weeks. I have seen people working for bounties 4 to 6 months and gets nothing is return. Short duration bounties are better and many will give it a try.
Greed is another factor which will make this campaign successful too  Cheesy
1417  Other / Meta / Re: Funny since the Cryptotalk campaign came/ pour in your heart here about yobit. on: October 18, 2019, 06:17:14 PM
I think that the idea of others with a minimum of received merit is a good idea. For instance saying that you need a minimum of 25 merit received to participate would work quite well. If you're going to have limits as high as they have (20/day) then you really need something like that to ensure that the posts aren't trash.

25 merits would be too much. You being a good poster have received only 4 merits in last 120 days. There is no rainfall of merit that we make the requirement too much for any campaign.

I can put out 20 posts a day fairly easily due to typing speed and have them all be high quality, because I only post on things I find genuinely interesting.

Even all the spammers say this but in reality no one can do it except a few and who knows, you might be one of them  Wink
1418  Other / Meta / Re: Funny since the Cryptotalk campaign came/ pour in your heart here about yobit. on: October 17, 2019, 07:07:34 PM
I joined the Cryptotalk campaign yesterday (because it's too good for me not to take advantage of! - and like Heisenberg_Hunter said, the fact it is not gambling-related removes any moral qualms), and I will say that I have noted so far there is a ton of crap posts from people. Low quality stuff that shows that they pretty much just skimmed the OP of the thread, which converts into posts that normally read something like "Wow, great opportunity, Bitcoin will really benefit from this".

It's a big shame because it makes reading a reasonable proportion of threads on this forum a complete pain. I go on Bitcointalk to find interesting discussions, I'll only ever post on something that genuinely interests me, every once in a while I'll make a thread on projects that I'm working on (e.g. CryptoSamaritan in the past), etc. Signature campaigns are a nice bonus and my view is, if it's there I might as well take advantage of it, but my view is it's supposed to be a complement to what you already do on the forum. But when you're offering as much as the campaigns do right now, you get swamped by posters from countries where that money goes a lot further, and it becomes a job for them.

It's a shame. From what I've seen yahoo does a very good job of managing it, it's not his fault that the posters can be pretty rubbish sometimes - more just to do with the rules of the campaign.

I agree on you on most part of it but if we remove all or rather filter the posts of cryptotalk signature participants will you see all good and sensible posting?  or we are only interested to do the strict audit for the cryptotalk participants and be lenient with others.
1419  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum not afraid about it's demise? on: October 16, 2019, 05:53:05 PM
It does not seems to slow down much. New members per day will decrease naturally but the main thing is that posts per day is stable. And how much cryptotalk is spending to keep their forum alive. Below is the rough estimate

Pay per Post = 1000 Sat

Daily Posts: 6387 * 1000 = 0.06387000 BTC  approx 510$ paying daily

Total Posts: 84384 * 1000= 0.84384000 BTC  approx 6,724$  has been spend so far in approx 15 days
It's only the money they spend for encouraging users to post in their forum. They are paying much more money to bitcointalk signature campaign participants .
Once they stop paying people for posting in their forum, the number of daily posts will significantly decrease.
Anyway, cryptotalk is a new website and they normally need advertisement. Their advertisement on bitcointalk can be effective as it makes many people know them. We don't know what will happen in future. They may be able to attract good users. But I don't know how they treat spammers in their forum. If they pay spammers, they harm their forum.

I do not take it this way and also they are not mad to waste their money to fund the spammers. Their goal is to make the forum popular and make it in a position where they can get the signature campaigns which will automatically keep the spammers posters busy.

Yeah they are many shitcoins in yobit and they can get good bounties advertisement too. When i last visited there were no ranks but now they have introduced ranks there too. They are eyeing something big which we may not realize now.

Going over data Archived data (http://archive.fo/https://cryptotalk.org/), Cryptotalk seems to be slowing down a bit:

New members per day was 165 on average between 10/10/2019 and today, whilst being of 385 on the prior six day window. Posts per day is stable, but that is due likely to the added new members that manage to keep the numbers at the same rate (Bitcointalk is currently on 22K new accounts per month, although bots to hit Bitcointalk probably a fair share more).

The above is not too meaningful really, as there are only a too few data points to conclude anything yet, but it does seem point to it not being easy to keep a steady flow of people enrolling on a new forum, even if paid to do so.
