Fawad Alam is a pakistani cricketer who was born in October 8, 1985 and is of 34 years of age. He played his last ODI in 2015 against Bangladesh. He haven't been given much chance in the team. He played only three test matches with an average of around 40 runs. I don't know how Wasim $ co. can judge a player who has a limited international test exposure. Wasim was saying that he's one of the top performer in pakistan (Domestic cricket) still selector never consider him for selection in the test format. edit : Rain saved the day for Pakistan. It’s going to beat bouncy pitch and it would be real test of the team as well if they could adjust to that situation and also results in a draw would be a big thing as per England would be considered . But it should be a good contest overall .
The second test is going to be played at Hamilton, and the track there has historically favored the pace bowlers. But this can be actually good news for England, in case their bowlers such as Jofra Archer and Stuart Broad rise to the occasion. On the other hand, New Zealand will be crippled by the absence of Trent Boult (will be replaced by either Lockie Ferguson or Matt Henry). Hamilton is good place for pace bowlers but right now New Zealand is in very good form and their bowling and batting are much superior then Visitors so I am not feeling they can do any resistance this is going to be one sided and New Zealand is going to win this series by 2 - 0 very easily. |

I do not think it is Pakistani team members have a problem, it is lack of coordination and team bonding. More exposure and more matche should solve this issue. They have good players who can perform well. Them as a unit is having performance and confidence issue.
The problem here is that for more than a decade the team is lacking in confidence and not performing as a team and it is a bit too long, when they have a miserable series there will be a complete change in the players and that continues, rather than building up a team and grooming the young players in the presence of veteran players they like to put the young players on their own and that is their biggest mistake. Your point is valid but here in Pakistan biggest problem is if you have talent and you have no approach then surely its waste and if you have no talent or you are playing just for hobby and you have good approach then you will in circle for long time and in Board most of appointments going on personal like and dislike which is killing its need some strong and professional management otherwise its going dead like Sri Lanka or Zimbabwe soon or later. |

Ah very well, Bangladesh manage to get quick wickets after lunch. Now they are batting with loss of 2 wickets and behind 239 runs. jeez its just 2nd day and hope Bangladesh don't get all out today.....
