1401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is going to a the bitcoin conference worth it? on: August 29, 2022, 07:28:57 PM
Coming up or my growth in Crypto-currency has lead me to so much enquiries about Crypto-currency in general and that includes going to conferences, seminars and workshops. But I can give you some note you should be aware.
#Do not go to any conference as a dummy: what I am saying here is going to a Bitcoin conference without first having little knowledge isn't beneficial, also have little knowledge can even make you engage the speakers more.

#know the difference from Crypto-currency conference and advert, I have made this mistake thinking I was going to a seminar about Crypto only to find out that it was a scheme by a project to tell people about themselves.

#Be ready to learn and unlearn when preparing for it. Knowledge is meant to be flexible doing this would increase your Crypto-currency growth.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The effects of the upcoming ethereum merge on: August 28, 2022, 10:03:20 PM
Ethereum are losing ground in terms of blockchain utilities, more people are now making use of Dogecoin Blockchain as to the fact that The Ethereum gas fees are way too high and Dogecoin and others like stablecoins are more better substitutes to its

I had always thought that Ethereum maintaining its rank as the second in crypto-currency it has to make so changes, and I think the merger is one of those changes Ethereum needs now, I don't know how successful the merge would be to Ethereum in future but one of the most disturbing issues with Ethereum and the usage of its blockchain is its fee and if this merge has any implementations to tackling that issue already then it may be the rebirth of Ethereum.
1403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dip, Dipper, Dippest on: August 28, 2022, 09:11:53 PM
How long have you been holding Bitcoin? Let me answer that, from the looks of things not to long. If you have experience about Bitcoin and Crypto-currency you should know or must have heard about crypto-currency volatility that's what's happening to the market right now.

You probably didn't see when at year went to below $3500, what would you consider this to be? If you are truely what you claim (long term holder a price call of not more than minus $5000 shouldn't even give you the chills not even when you are holding Bitcoin.

I believe the most difficult part of the year may me this month of September and it could also be the year that channels Bitcoin into a bull run. Fingers crossed at that.
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you exchange Fiat for Crypto or Vice Versa? on: August 28, 2022, 08:31:44 PM
Well right now I am more of into Crypto-currency, due to low employment rate I am self employed and most of my pay comes in Cryptos so I can say I am a Crypto-currency earner, can't remember the last time I earned substantially in Fiat.

Yes we at a point may have pressing needs on we may need to purchase things of utmost importance to us. Crypto-currency is still trying to become a global phenomenon so it's a gradual process so right now in my country many day to day needs are most likely to be gotten in Fiat.
So right now I think I am a person that earn in crypto-currency and only converts to My local Fiat when I necessarily have to do so.
1405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How will you handle this case on: August 28, 2022, 08:06:25 PM
What I advice to new be is learn and unlearn, yes I understand that hour first brother maybe new tk Crypto-currency and the first contact he made is the other person you talked about but he he understands what the learn an unlearn theory is all about he may have avoided this current situation. Yes we need people to kick start our Crypto-currency career but still we can find out what path is right or wrong along the line. Firstly Creation of wallet is such a private thing that doesn't deserve two people to know about it. this was the first mistake. He can use the first wallet created to learn how it is done and then the next would be the private wallet he/she owns on their own. Well there is really nothing you can do now as a person and except the thief returns it. It is probably gone.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 28, 2022, 07:36:32 PM
This is the Barcelona we have missed for so long, the way the team gel together is very much amazing. Robert lewandoski has really brought in so much confidence into the team since signing this season, firstly the bookers gave Barcelona a huge odds to win this game but after a 4:0 win I think the would really consider the odds the five to Barcelona.
The season is still very early to draw to conclusions but I still think Teams like Barcelona has shown that they didn't only just do well in the market window but they have found a way to bring forth a team that would be the next big thing as a Barcelona faithful I think the future is bright for Barcelona this season in the uefa champions league and also in the Spanish la liga.
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: State Of Corruption In Nigeria Amidst World Corruption on: August 27, 2022, 08:22:27 PM
Having to know what Corruption in Nigeria is first hand, I have few contributions to Add, Nigeria is a country in west Africa that's sitting on vast natural resources that if placed in the hand of the right people can make Nigeria to become a force the world would reckon with.
Also Nigeria is highly regarded as one of the most populated nation and hold the rank as the most populous afro-originated nation of the world so in the department of Human Resources Nigeria isn't lacking at all.

Nigeria has been through different phases after gaining independence from the British, some of this phases includes the military regime and then the democratic regime but ever since the nation has been plagued with corrupt leaders. I won't blame the leaders solely because Nigerian citizens has played a role in it. During election many are fond of selling their vote even for less than a dollar.

Nigeria as a nation can only be save during the elections, corruption is a sickness that starts when any individual sells their vote and nigeria as a nation would keep suffering in it until the right person is voted in based on their competence and capabilities.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The September effect on: August 27, 2022, 05:45:17 PM
There is nothing like the September effect and you theory to it isn't factual. Although last year and few years before that there has been drop. But if we are taking history to make a conclusive judgement then in 2017 a very important year for bitcoin we would see at September bitcoin was at a steady rising stage, as at September 2017 Bitcoin was less than $5k but during the month of September it manage to maintain a figure to to far from what it started and carried in on into the next month, and there has been some similarities in subsequent year.

I won't say September has been a bullish month for Bitcoin looking down history but it hasn't been a month we saw a drastic fall in The price of bitcoin and probably this year would be same.
1409  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time management BUILDS on: August 27, 2022, 05:02:06 PM
Great mate nice work. But let me add this.
Here is still Bitcoin talk forum and in as much as a good general advice is great but channeling you post more to the forum with explanations is best.

Like for me personally coming up the ranks here in the forum time management has been key.
# makes you meet up with post in time (the most interesting time to be part of a post conversation is early, you get to learn more then many times after that is filled up with spams)

And if you are the busy type outside the forum you can still channel you time management in the forum according to your schedule, I like to be in the forum at the end of the day and having an alarm set for this has made me try to be online as often as I can, also the telegram notification can be of help to.
1410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 26, 2022, 08:23:49 PM
 Saturday games prediction.
The English Premier League has kick started to a very strange start and it's already exciting.
1 Southampton vs Manchester United: finally Manchester United are moving forward and may be have fit the missing piece of the puzzle I believe the would win this.

2. Brentford - Everton: tough match I would say both team score

3. Brighton - Leeds: Brighton has been very impressive and just last week Leeds beat Chelsea so I would say a draw

4. Chelsea - Leicester: both team score, really hard to predict the winner

5. Liverpool - Bournemouth: sad times for Bournemouth I think it's another loss

6. Manchester  City - Crystal Palace: funny enough I don't think city would win this so it's a draw.

7. Arsenal - Fulham: I would definitely go for the Gunners.
1411  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War in Ethiopia, why is everyone silent? on: August 26, 2022, 08:05:19 PM
Not only in Ethiopia many countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East go through wars that not only take lives but  leave the economy of those countries crippling. But we don't get to see much attention giving to such wars, the situation of some immigrants who left their countries because of poor economy in search of a greener future for themselves, passing through great dangers in the wilderness only to then be treated like animals at the board.

No one deserves such inhuman act and the world is very picky to which war and inhuman act to speak up on. I am just learning about the war in Ethiopia and I would do more research on this, but I think there should be equality no human life is more important than another. And alarm should always be raised against war on innocent lives anywhere in the world.
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decision time on: August 25, 2022, 07:27:58 PM
Don't believe to much on what people say, especially when they tell you about a new gem or what ever. As it's now very accustomed with me i don't believe too much in Alt-coin the risk linked to it is much, but if I must have to choose amongst the Alt-coin you have in mind I would go for Dogecoin.

Dogecoin is by far the safest amongst the two to me you can draw you conclusions from.
1. Recognition: Dogecoin is recognized and has had history of good influence.
2. Utilities the doge ecosystem is now becoming a trend i won't deny that and latest article has placed Doge coin even ahead of Ethereum.
3. Potentials: has to do with future possibilities and I think Dogecoin being the pinnacle of the Doge ecosystem holds good potentials.
How ever diversification is always an option to you but in this case i wouldn't do that. Am all in on Dogecoin (Note take no one words for it, Do your research)
1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as my new payment method on: August 25, 2022, 05:42:49 PM
We work smarter this days not harder, i would always accept payment for my services in bitcoin definitely, it's convenient, and unlike my local currency (naira) it is more solid in its value.
Bitcoin has been able to push the transactions department of any business forward there by making business work fast but still it has its challenges, true story an individual open a bar and started to accept bitcoin as the medium of payment, i guess he was new to crypto-currency because he couldn't detect a confirmed payment, he got robbed off 12, million naira ($28,000) through an unconfirmed transaction by a customer.

The point I am heading to is that accepting transactions and payment in crypto-currency to your business is just a step to improving your business and the adoption of crypto-currency. But you still have To also be security conscious about the risk involved.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: How Flexible Are You With Pricing Options? on: August 25, 2022, 04:10:18 PM
I would choose to call it bargaining and it's a skill anyone who want to get the best deals for the cheapest price should have, well I always do it especially on things that doesn't have any fixed price, my strategy on this is simple.

#Have good knowledge of what you bargaining to buy by knowing so the seller would have a sense of respect for you, acknowledging the fact that you really understand the goods well.
#knowing the actual price of the goods (you can get lust by this, and the buyer can tell you other wise)
# always have an alternative option a good one at that, this can help you to look less desperate.
# be more consistent with a reliable dealer that you had carried successfully deals with.

Price bargaining can also help in trying to have business in crypto-currency via p2p I have personally been able to get cryptos at good rate and also sell at good rate through my flexibility.

1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins on: August 24, 2022, 08:56:00 PM
Reliability may be possible that's if you choosing wisely, but safety is never guaranteed, even USDT a renowned stable coin isn't totally safe and may cave in at anytime.
In terms of privacy coin, I would advice you go for recognition rather than risk it all in some new suggestions, if you don't have any issue with monero or any top privacy coin I see not reason not going with it.

The list of privacy coin can be long, I have seen ads of so many that claim to guarantee anonymous untraceable transactions any where in the world, this could just be a bait to lure investors in, also recommendations and influences can be alter or bought so place first the security of your investments/capital.
1416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which option will better to take? on: August 24, 2022, 07:53:45 PM
Many countries has frowned on Bitcoin and crypto-currency in general, I am from such countries and if I am to tell you from my experience I think the ban is just formalities, really I don't think crypto-currency can be ban, the usage of Bitcoin and other cryptos in still going on especially this time the currency of my country is devaluing Crypto has really saved many.

My own stand on your question is this, every individual should be giving the freedom to express them self, told about the dangers and benefits. I think Crypto-currency should be a legal tend by choice, that is who individuals should chose the medium they want to use to carry out their transactions. I personally I have found saving in crypto fat more beneficial than saving in Fiat, so do many now taking away this option is an infringement on Human rights.
1417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking the awareness of crypto and Btt forum to the youths on: August 24, 2022, 07:00:19 PM
I am having a pet project of my own, I have a course in Nursing science and we would get posted soon to a rural area and I noticed that they have issues with banking in the sense that the state government hasn't really made or created entry route or good motorable route making then cut out and there is no bank in the area. You have to take thirty minutes drive to any bank, but I notice the have good network.
So I am working on enlightening this community on the usage of crypto-currency in their day to day life, how they can buy stuffs, pay fees, send funds to each other, for those into gambling how they can do that online through crypto-currency and in general how Crypto can simplify that already complicated financial lifestyle they are living.

Currently I am in talking stage with the head of the community and when we reach an agreement I would give more details About This plan.
1418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Started accepting Bitcoin as a 4th means of payment in my noddles DEPOT on: August 23, 2022, 07:35:46 PM
Great and congratulations on you step in making the adoption of Bitcoin even higher by contributing your own personal efforts.
But you should understand that there may be some dangers you would encounter.
#Your country stands on Crypto-currency some government are very strict with the usage of Crypto and it make affect you.
# networking and transfer congestion. Yes the transactions of Crypto-currency is fast but we all know with low transactions fee transactions may delay and depending on your urgency this may be a problem.
# scammers, some scammer may have hacked a wallets or stolen cryptos and use your medium as a point of sale regardless of this with high security consciousness and enlightening your customers about how to perform transactions I think it's a good start for you.
1419  Other / Archival / Re: Leading countries in the use of crypto on: August 23, 2022, 02:46:57 PM
I don't know how accurate most of this Data is and why the segregation of Africa and South America into a set and then having the main set list, I am not Data analyst but I definitely know many of such list can be from individual thoughts, I think some African countries really should have made it to the top ten on the main list. Countries like Nigerian.
Nigeria has a population of over 200, million of which a good percentage of them a youth, it's no news the the value of the Nigerian currency is great this has lead many Nigerians to source crypto-currency mean. Just a local data many youth has now started to save funds in stable coins like USDT and so on just to escape the fall of the naira this alone should put Nigeria in the list. Not just that many Nigerian names can be attributed to the creation of some reputable Cryptos today.
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers exploit zero day bug to steal from General Bytes Bitcoin ATMs on: August 22, 2022, 10:09:18 AM
Saw this already made by Another member, the mastering of Bitcoin ATMs hasn't yet been completed and Hackers knows this , I can only imagine how many trials is going on from Hackers just to infiltrate Bitcoin ATMS across the world this leads me to wonder right now after this incidence.
# who takes the blames
# what happens to the customers funds.
# would there be refunds
# what measures would be taking to prevent this from happening in future.

Personally I haven't used a Bitcoin Atm and with all this news I doubt if I would.
