Bounty for SFR Groestl Pool creation!
Anyone?? In summer, Groestl is the best option to be cost effective. Solomining with Groestl has become quite difficult now so it would be great if someone would create a pool for Groestl GPU/CPU miners!

Cloudminers down?! I hope my coins are ok ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Yup its down. But the shares and your balance should be safe. That pool had the highest scrypt hashrate so maybe that was the cause of crash. That's why hashrates should be spread across all pools Thanks for the reassurance, their fluttercoin pool is down as well. How does the pool stop a potential attack? I have my savings on there, I was literally in the process of manual payout as it went down. ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) They might have been DDOS'd or probably their server went down for some time. Cloudminers are professionals, they should get it back up soon. Thanks for the help, so what are the upcoming plans for saffron? I always felt the future of cryptocurrency was similar to myriad's multi-algo approach which allowed independent difficulties but 5 was a tad much. Saffroncoin is great because as the scrypt asics and terrahashing sha miners will enjoy one anothers company all the while gpu's and cpu's can share a more reasonable difficulty level on groestl (and summer is coming so I love the decreased power and heat). And on top of that, the potential for a 51% is attack is minimal due to the mixed algos. Everyone is happy! This coin will definitely do well, just keep making strong steps forward! Sure thanks mate ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Even i felt that MYR's 5 was a bit too much and unnecessary but MYR too is a great coin which first started this unique concept. Comparing the workers, i feel the asics love this much more, probably because Scrypt has a lot more competiton.

Has anyone received the superblock yet? 72*3*5 = 1080 coins!
see the source code, first two days, block rewards is fixed 216,no superblock all are "if" statements, not "else if". The operators are *= which multiplies every consecutive true condition. So, if the random number ends up being in the range, the reward is multiplied by 5 and then the code checks whether it is the 1st 2 days of mining and then multiplies by 3. So total for a very very lucky person or pool = 72*5*3 = 1080 SFR. Some may argue why the superblock range is very tight and quite difficult to obtain, but the max coins are just 111 million, so the superblock has to be rare.

Aiming the coin to a local community / nation / etc is a NO. With a lot of failures for coins aiming to go this way you should remove that India thing.
It really makes the coin less attractive than it should be.
Yes, i realize that but thought it would draw attention from the folks here. but yea looks weird. I removed it. Thanks for that!

IMO totoy is trying to mine with ccminer, if so, he should set -a myr-gr, because its written that Saffron uses myriad-groestl algo?
Thanks, mining now ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Has anyone managed to find any blocks using myr-gr or groestl solo mining? I've yet to find anything ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I got 1 orphan block. My internet went down right as they finally decided to release the wallet, so I couldn't download it through my phone but could have been mining through my phone connection. Oh well. I might leave it on overnight but not sure yet. I can't connect my 3rd rig to the wallet for some reason even though i can access and ping my host pc. It might be something in the conf, i don't know, my other 2 rigs are connected just fine. Definitely could have been a smoother launch. I understand your view. I tried my best to have a smooth launch. But with technology, you never know. Sorry once again.

IMO totoy is trying to mine with ccminer, if so, he should set -a myr-gr, because its written that Saffron uses myriad-groestl algo? BTW still looking for help how to make solo-mining groestl to work It seems my wallet is not supplying work to miner my conf file is rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass listen=1 rpctimeout=30 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 rpcallowip=* rpcport=9302 port=9301 server=1 daemon=1 gen=0 algo=groestl Your ports are wrong. RPCPORT : 19716 P2P port : 19717

WTF size of wallet I'm not installing it, at least 10 GB the bleeping thing says. You better find your sorry ass an exchange quickly
Hey it just says as an example. It is not going to go to 10GB soon lol. The size will grow as more blocks are found. It is not the wallet size, but basically the blockchain size. It will remain a few MBs for a long time. Btw, bitcoin's block chain is much more.

Fellow miners, i am really sorry for the delay. I am again saying, it wasn't due to premining. It was about fixing a prob. And yes premine has been done for 400 blocks for promotion and other purposes. Thanks, please understand

Please download the wallet from the dropbox link if the main site is down: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9fcou20crbxwbd5/saffroncoin-wallet-1.0.0.0.zipAgain very sorry for the delay. Premining was done for 400 blocks to get checkpoints and for faucets and for promotion of the coin. Those of you that think the delay was because of premining, no it is not. We had some problems at our end. Thanks for understanding.

Live now. Sorry for the delay. Had to care of some bugs and pools

maybe change myriad-groestl to pure groestl? to can be mine with cpu?
It can be mined with CPU. I tested it using wallet mining with cpu. You can use other cpu miners too. Hi, I was wondering what algo do you set the wallet/miner too if you want to mine groestl? Is it myr-groestl or is it pure groestl? Would this be the appropriate config: rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass listen=1 rpctimeout=30 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 rpcport=19716 port=19717 daemon=1 gen=0 algo=myr-groestl Thanks for your help as I'm excited to try this new coin! Just these 3 values : "sha256d", "scrypt", "groestl"

How to use CGminer or BFGminer mining this SHA-256D algorithm coin? Is it same as SHA-256?
Would the dev please use GMT/UTC time zone to avoid confuse? Thanks.
SHA-256D can be mined same as mining SHA-256. The same miners can be used. SHA-256D is basically SHA-256 which is double hashed. Hence, the letter "D".
