1401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I feel ashamed asking this but it's better to know than not knowing on: February 16, 2023, 11:03:54 AM
I remember that in 2016 when I first installed my BTC wallet from the official Bitcoin website I use a lot of data to sync and download the blockchain data
This may be off-topic, but it may worth mentioning that there is no official bitcoin website. Bitcoin isn't like a company which is owned by someone/group of people and has an official website. Bitcoin is decentralized and the users don't rely on a centralized service like a website.
I was not expecting this answer, if so, then I still have a question, like who owns or created Bitcoin.org? Because that was the first place I learn and read more about Bitcoin, so hossein sahab, what am I not getting here? I always thought that Bitcoin.org is the official website.

As for the advice given to you by popkon6, make sure you go through Binance exchange rules when trying to sell Fiat for Bitcoin, do not send funds to a seller using a different account from the one you use to register on Binance, I will like to explain better, assuming you register with a bank account for p2p payment, make sure you don't send money to the seller using a second account. Also, if you want to sell, make sure that you release fund, only after you get deposited in Fiat into your bank account.
1403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choosing between your relationship and gambling. on: February 16, 2023, 08:49:28 AM
I am sure the lady accepted to date your cousin because he likes him, so because your cousin is into gambling doesn't mean that all gamblers will end up with the same fate just like how the lady's brother ended up, there are responsible people that gamble and take their responsibilities very seriously, the case of the lady's brother is just like the same thing happening in my family right now, having fun with gambling is different from getting addicted to gambling. My brother is currently facing the same addiction, which you can read here.

1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 15, 2023, 05:23:40 PM
It sounds like your friend is very confident that he can make a profit every day or monthly that promises to the loaner that he can pay on time. He actually underestimates the market and that he thinks that he controls the situation but unfortunately, he ended up asking for help as he fails. He is your friend but I think there is a limitation to such word "help" otherwise, he will take advantage of your weaknesses and would rely on you for everything. In this case, a decline should be delivered, it is not being rude to him but this is helping him realize the unstable situation of the market which couldn't assure a fixed profit, and stop relying on the crypto as collateral for loans.
He was very confident with the decision, but he made me feel like I was blocking his way to success or something, he knew I went through a lot with crypto and I told him what I have went through in the past, he was aware that I lost some money, I believe he failed to believe me because he 100% trusted his monthly salary, he was a good friend that's why I can't leave him be in this situation right now, but a man got to do what a man got to do, I can only help with what I can.
1405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid Scam Projects on: February 15, 2023, 04:05:09 PM
2)   Avoid all the non-related users, who ask for payment or pretend to be a member of well-known projects, as actually, they are trying to Scam you by using different means, like:
If a project has Telegram Community and there is an admin with the name “Dan Joe” and you get a PM from the same name person, then don’t just believe him/her as they can use the same name but you have to verify the user from the community or by cross-check his username by clicking on the user name.

My advice is that you/they should try to minimize the usage of telegram for business related issue because telegram is just like a den of scammers, I have received several messages from those claiming to be part of the team of a project and after I make enquiry in their official telegram group chat they all deny not to know such person and that they don't work for them. Most times this happens when you try to ask of solution to a certain problem you're facing and then boom you'll see your PM flooding your telegram trying to provide your with solutions and at the end they'll want you to give them some of your personal information.
Minimize the usage of telegram? There is nothing wrong with telegram, it's one of the best chatting apps for business that I know, the problem is scammers will constantly use anything functional to scam innocent people, I have blocked over 100 scammers on telegram, they PM me first and that I don't like if all telegram users can adjust their telegram security settings to 'not allow PMs' they will be free. After so many blocking of strangers on telegram, the security settings saved me from a lot of headaches.
1406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investing for beginners must be large capital or small capital. on: February 15, 2023, 09:55:51 AM
OP it's not about large capital or small capital, every newbie must be ready to spend time learning how to safely invest their capital on crypto projects that will give you rest of mind, this is why Bitcoin is the most recommended for newbies, large capital or small capital doesn't matter if you are investing on Bitcoin, the question is, are you investing with the exact amount you won't be needing for a long time? Because this is where many newbies who wrong, invest money they will need maybe in a month or two, so they will have no choice but to sell at the time considering whatever the Bitcoin value is.
1407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Know your limit on: February 14, 2023, 06:31:59 PM
Avoid ending up like a friend, who used all the money he has to invest in bitcoin and also took a loan, promising the lender that he will pay back when he gets paid in a month, after a month he never received the salary, I warned him doing this, because he has no doubt mixed investment with 'whatever it takes', is it safe to call this greed? I don't know.

Now he wants me to lend him some money to at least pay the loaner back and later settle me, there is more, now I have to send him some money to buy some food.

You don't have to use all your money to invest, even if you are not married yet or have other responsibilities, the best approach when planning to invest in Bitcoin is to buy with some percentage of the money you earning, maybe through business or a job.

If you do this weekly or monthly you won't feel any pressure, always remember that health is wealth.
1408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't have high expectations in the crypto world. on: February 14, 2023, 05:04:53 PM
We are all wired differently, some people do great things only when they have high expectations, it's like dreaming big toward your goals which can boost up your activities when investing, there is a big difference between someone who invested 100$ in bitcoin and someone who invested 1000$ in bitcoin, as you can see, their ROI can never be the same.

It is very good to have high expectations sometimes and as I've said, we are all different, when I have high expectations I always work harder to make the dream become a reality, hope this doesn't confuse anyone.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there an effective way to stop a gambling-addicted person? on: February 14, 2023, 03:55:33 PM
How did you find it out? If he told you then maybe he wants help if you just came across it because he left his computer open or something then it'll be much harder to approach the issue.

Why don't you find a local gambling advice or debt advice charity and see if they know anything that might be useful (such as what normally leads people in that area to addiction, what sorts of things addicts can replace gambling with to still get a similar experience from it so they're less likely to go back to it).
He failed to tell us the truth, until I got a hold of his smartphone and find out many games he played and lost money, he made us believed that he got robbed, this pissed me off and I had to break his privacy.

Judging from his phone history, this has been going on for over a year now and we don't know, I got into a mess in early 2022 and I bailed him with my money and paid what he owe, I am surprised he did another.
1410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is there an effective way to stop a gambling-addicted person? on: February 14, 2023, 02:02:01 PM
Has anyone managed to stop their relatives from gambling addiction? I have a problem with my little brother, he is 29 and working for years already, the problem is he is so in debt that we are been called upon to come and bail him in a police station, he lied a lot about the debt and he can't even so some calculation on how he spent his own money, if you know what I mean, he works a lot but still broke, that kinda thing .

Later I found out that he is addicted to sports bets, he kept losing money and won't stop, he has lost up to 4650$, a loan, and his own money that he worked for.

If there is any advice you can give me on how to approach this matter please help.

Using AI to make posts on this forum will result into spamming, I don't want to know how clever you are, forum admins will know you use AI because it's easy to detect, and AI gives answers like service rendering, you will know that a BOT is at work, I don't know if you guys understand what I am trying to say, abstain from using AI, it doesn't help, not on this forum.

1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 13, 2023, 12:48:46 PM
I hope you have screamed the ugly side of keeping digital asset safe and also the volatility to this neighbor of yours. This is the only way you can be held less responsible if anything bad happens, I only bring in stubborn and self-ready people into Bitcoin investment, I always make sure to scare the heck out of them, to make them want to quit. This is the only way to find the strongest at heart among those who want magic investment without any risks.
1414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: in my opinion don't buy crypto at high prices on: February 13, 2023, 12:14:39 PM
The only "Don't" that should be meaningful to every crypto investor is do not buy a Bull Market, there is nothing like buying Bitcoin high in a bear market OP, if you are talking about buying now, then you should be buying.

The second "Don't" is going all in with the money you have, Bitcoin is at 21k, and assuming you have 1000$, DCA with 100$ and wait for a few dips and do another buy in, this was what I keep accomplishing since Bitcoin dipped to 17,000 and later down to 15,000$, this is the power of Dollar Cost Average.
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 13, 2023, 11:37:54 AM
This is not completely true, not all gamblers are useless when it comes to providing for their families, how would you know anyways? Because your bank account is not the same as theirs, for those that only know how to gamble and buy their lottery ticket, it's poverty that makes them so desperate and addicted to gambling, they want a "New Life" by all means, but they are doing it wrong.

Lack of money is the root of all even, and it comes with destruction and advantages as well, but it depends on how you think, too many people become a slave to their thought of buying that one lottery ticket and buying it over and over if it keeps failing.

I am not saying I hate gambling but the truth is, few people make life-changing money from gambling and many people lose their life savings to gambling if it's your thing you need to apply some manners or you will become addicted.
1416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible ? on: February 12, 2023, 11:17:01 AM
Start accepting stable coins for payment since you are too concerned about the volatility, holding bitcoin makes you more money, the only cheat code here is timing, when to sell your holdings, I would rather accept bitcoin as means of payment because I have confidence in the price of Bitcoin, it always add value, if you fail to see Bitcoin the same way that I do then receiving Bitcoin as means of payment is not for you.
1417  Other / Beginners & Help / When looking for answers on the forum on: February 12, 2023, 08:26:41 AM
When you are aspiring for answers on the forum always have it in mind that you can still get the wrong answers from people on here, simply because someone tell you their opinion doesn't mean you should follow their manners.

Although,  the higher number of people that said the same thing or give the same answers wins, this is my own strategy when looking for answers, yet, they could be wrong, even with higher vote ✅.

It doesn't mean you should do as they say still, it is better to do your own research and try to understand what you are trying to get yourself into, some times, the less vote ✅ wins too.

Best solution? Learn and Understand what you are getting yourself into, knowledge is Power.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 12, 2023, 07:26:37 AM
Casino owners understand the game more than anybody, they know how their games are wired so my answer is NO, casino games are wired to make you lose more than you win, they will rather sit back and watch you buy the lottery ticket, running casino makes them rich, why would they want to play themselves? Believe me, they refer to stay away, it's the game of the rich and the poor, winning less and losing more makes casino owners extremely rich. Let that sink in.
1419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People will choose bitcoins more if the number of cryptocurrency option is less. on: February 10, 2023, 09:08:01 PM
Why did you use Netflix though? You can't make money watching Netflix and people choose different type of crypto projects when building a money-making portfolio, we are told not to put all eggs in one basket just in case, but when it comes to Netflix there is no money involved, I can either watch adventure or action movies, just find what suits or hungry you.

Bitcoin gives investors more confidence in doubt but one movie can't give you same thing because you can't keep watching one movie over and over, poor comparison IMO.
1420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: invest in bitcoin or altcoin? on: February 10, 2023, 04:59:27 PM
The best digital currency for a newbie is Bitcoin, it takes no time to understand what bitcoin is all about, but in the case of altcoins, there are too many things to be cautious about, there are a few things you need to learn about altcoins, they are too risky but more profitable when it comes to return of investment, do not be fooled by the profits you can make from altcoins, because you can also make a huge loss too.

Bitcoin will bring ease to your mind compared to altcoins and I can assure you that Bitcoin will bring you returns on the long run, as for altcoins it's probably, they can die on you any time, so I can't assure you on that.
