1181  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 01, 2023, 10:34:21 AM
Casino games third-party auditors can't always be trusted because they are humans too, they can take money as a bribe and overlook something they shouldn't have allowed, it happens, I don't even care much because after making sure that a online casino has a high reputation I am after how lucky I will get on the platform after playing some slots if I don't see any good encouraging results I will find another reputable online casino, so for me it depends on how lucky I get with a online casino either big or small
1182  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of such ads on Instagram & Facebook! on: May 01, 2023, 09:00:32 AM
Such ads are everywhere online, not only on Facebook and Instagram, it's very common on Twitter too, even some on Telegram if you don't privatize your Telegram security settings.

@dzungmobile you are giving people the wrong advice by telling them to store huge amounts of crypto on a computer,  do you know that a computer is very vulnerable to viruses and malware?

Do not store big amounts of crypto on your computer unless you don't connect your computer to the internet and I doubt that you aren't browsing on the computer already, hardware wallet is the safer place for a huge amount of cryptocurrencies.

A android smartphone is perfect for hot wallet like trust wallets and electron wallet since you will be sending and receiving transactions from time to time but if you want to buy and lock your coins away with any worries you need a hardware wallet, not a Computer.
1183  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for the best tipsters in the world on: May 01, 2023, 08:21:34 AM
I really don't understand why people think tipsters can make someone profit. If they were so good at predicting then they were not going to sell the information in exchange of a fees. They could just simply bet of different casino / sportsbooks and make a lot of money.
<snip>
The reason could be that they do not want to gamble. Or maybe they already placed a bet but cannot afford to add more (or doesn't want to). Instead, they create/give service like this, which they do not need to spend any penny while having a secured profit if ever they got clients.
This doesn't make any sense, it's like saying that someone on this earth give up on making money when they have all the necessary tools to become a millionaire, it shows that they are faking it, giving the hopes to other people to dream but their main gains comes from the tips and courses they sell online, and there is also a fact here, they are not risking anything, they are not giving a choice of winning or losing like normal gamblers used to expose to, they are playing safe.

The only reason they step back and decide to give service is because it's 100% safer, there is zero losses involved, this also mean that the service they render people are not always accurate, they are the ones it will benefit, not those buying their services.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 30, 2023, 12:44:00 PM
There are already many gamblers who want the same thing as you and unfortunately only a few can afford to be able to stay safe while reducing gambling because gambling is an activity that is difficult to stop because of curiosity and domains that are difficult to stop.
What's more, for those who have truly become an addict, it will be more difficult to reduce it, even forgetting about gambling for a moment will never be possible if someone is already an addict.
That is why it is important for a gambler to limit and reduce the gambling sessions that are carried out in order to avoid excessive gambling addiction.
Yeah, I guess that's the case with my friends, they started gambling before they have an idea what Bitcoin is and they have made a good amount of money from gambling, at that time I was busy learning about crypto and they believe that I was wasting my time, they have something to show for it and I never had any, that's why they still believe that they are better than me in every way, what they don't know is that I now know about gambling and I also have made a lot of money from crypto investment, I am not ready to prove that to them because of jealousy sometimes, I've noticed this and I am been careful around people.

I don't plan on proving them wrong but only time will tell, at that time I will be long gone and it will be too late for them to realize that I've been telling the fact all this time.
1185  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: April 30, 2023, 11:23:51 AM
^^
You are right. To be safe, you need to download the app or get it's download link from the official website and it would be even better if the devs have pgp keys which you can use to verify the authenticity of the downloaded files.
You should never look up the app name on appstore or search engines and download the first results you get.
For newbies who aren't aware of this then at least I expect them to follow their common sense to recognize fake apps. It shouldn't be that hard to realize it's fake when you see it has few downloads/reviews when it's supposed to be a popular app! Reviews and ratings can also be helpful.
Believe me, some people will never be able to differentiate between a fake and real app or website since they lack the basic ability to identify things very quickly and that is the reason why so many people fall victim to scams and phishing websites, etc. Do you think that a phishing website is absolutely perfect? No, but some people don't realize it.

It is until they see that they've done a mistake and then when they recheck, they see a lot of differences that they couldn't initially identify. It happens and it happens to a lot of people, and it's not only about newbies, to be honest.
Some phishing websites are almost perfect as the original, good enough to still fool people that are cautious and ready when browsing the net, those crappy phishing websites are from hungry online scammers, they rush things up and use small amounts of money on graphic design, they can't keep up with the design so they go with something less attractive which makes them easier to spot for people.

When it comes to phishing links, there is no, "I know how to identity a phishing link", you still have to be careful and don't ever believe you are smart, always cross check first because those bastards are getting smarter every day, don't let your guard down.
1186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will you sell because of situations? on: April 30, 2023, 10:16:59 AM
I'm wondering how this person even have the nerve to ask for other people's opinion, I would have sell all my Bitcoin and rescue the sister if I am the one this happened to, are you sure this story is genuine? This is someone's life we are talking about here, she will pay you back someday for saving her life, and you can still get Bitcoin again some day, there is nothing more worthy than our lives in this world, stop asking questions and save your sister's life, you dummy.

imagine,  Angry Angry Angry, reading this just ruined my Sunday for me, even if that Bitcoin is all you have, you need to sell all of them to save your sister, if she is gone you won't get another sister using your bitcoin, or have you seen a market where they sell sisters?
1187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would the Bitcointalk Forum be like without Signature Campaigns? on: April 30, 2023, 09:11:00 AM
Only serious Bitcointalk forum members join signatures because there is no room for spamming and low quality post, there are people that gets better at posting on this forum thanks to strict bounty managers for example Royse, if you are a spammer or a shit poster you will be removed, and I am not talking about shit altcoin bounties in the altcoin discussion section of the forum, that's where most shitposters are doing their thing. Promoting projects is not something everyone is qualified for, there are terms and rules you need to follow and it's helping the forum either ways.

I don't believe that everyone on this forum have interest in signature campaign, I have seen too many that doesn't care about wearing signature, and some are not getting paid to wear signature, they just do it for free, if you understand what reputation means you will know why not all signatures are worth wearing.
1188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will never own a whole Bitcoin and that's okay on: April 28, 2023, 06:28:02 AM
You are judging tomorrow based on today and that's unfair, if 0.2BTC is all you can afford this year, what makes you think you won't do better than this next year? There are many opportunities in crypto space that can change everything in a short period of time you only need to learn.

I have read about how many people make a lot of money by investing in altcoin gems if they find them early. If you find them early, you can have more BTC fast. With altcoins, you can do pretty well and then use that money to buy Bitcoin, so you can have one Bitcoin within one year or two.
1189  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asks for KYC (their site say NO KYC) then confiscates my winnings on: April 27, 2023, 01:04:02 PM
Do not expect a gambling website to tell you that they will ask for KYC verification after you win some money, if you want to gamble and don't want to pass KYC make sure you ask from the team direct or find a decentralize casino, if they exists, the most important thing to do once you open a gambling website is to read their ToS carefully.

I believe that the majority of casinos today need their customers to pass KYC, I have decided to stop fooling myself that some gambling website is different, they are all almost the same, and the verification requirement is what they are asked to do or they risking prohibition.
1190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Google Ads data: $4M stolen through crypto phishing URLs on: April 27, 2023, 11:14:14 AM
The moment you visit a new website there is a chance that the website will display Ads and you won't be able to control anything unless you close the tab, some websites are this annoying.

There is no way you will browse on your PC and Ads won't do their thing, the solution is using an Ad-blocker.

I can't lose my crypto to scammers through my PC because I don't run any crypto wallet software on my PC, I believe doing this is automatically not safe, it is way easier to get into a trap while browsing on your PC than anywhere else.

Use an Ad blocker, get browser plug-ins from official websites, get an antivirus running, and be careful visiting any websites.
1191  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: April 27, 2023, 09:43:59 AM
Any casino that claimed to be decentralized are running the business at its own risk, no casino should claim to be decentralized unless they are operating off the radar or in a country where decentralization is all that matters to them, FED forbid running an unregistered casino and the penalty is very severe.

The web3 name is just an attracting strategy, I have not seen any one casino that's truly decentralized or fully functioning on the web3, many new casinos are looking for a more effective way to attract many gamblers and they have to use what is presently trending in the world today, which is web3, metaverse and gaming and AI.

Any casino owner will proudly do the same today.
1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why gambling and mixing called bad actors in bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 08:21:09 AM
Did you say online gambling using Bitcoin? As if Bitcoin is the only currency you can use to gamble online, how about USD? If Bitcoin is bad because of gambling so is Fiat, and others, many people don't like gambling because the risk is the highest, it's on the same level with HYIP if you are familiar with it, gambling is gambling and most people don't like it, this has nothing to do with Bitcoin, some gamblers prefer to use Bitcoin as the currency for gambling if no casino is accepting Bitcoin no one will use Bitcoin for gambling.

Bitcoin mixers are for covering tracks when moving your Bitcoin but the government doesn't like this, they believe that bad actors, criminals, and drug dealers will be using mixers to move illegal funds around the globe and the money will be untraceable.

Mixers became a thing after Bitcoin was launched, bitcoin isn't to be blamed for this, mixer stands alone and gambling stands alone, if you don't like them then stay away, I have never used mixers for once because I don't need them but I do gamble responsibly, many people can't control their greed, such people should not get involved with gambling.
1193  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: April 26, 2023, 11:43:43 AM
The popularity of online gambling casinos doesn't guarantee you will win more than you lose, you can have more luck with less popular online casinos, for me, it's not about the popularity anymore.

Those popular online casinos reduce their bonuses and offer as time goes on, probably due to them becoming successful already so they don't see any more reason to keep attracting offers alive anymore, I've been hearing something like this from STAKE users.

Truth is you will need to try a casino out yourself to know if it suits your taste, there are so many options like Roobet, Rollbit, Punt, Sportsbet, Fortunejack, Betfury and so on.

You won't know what the experience will feel like until you try them one after the other
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / How do you stay updated on: April 26, 2023, 10:24:45 AM
I start developing an interest in Boxing and UFC matches when I visited a relative, he is so into these types of sports and he seems to know a lot about it, by I have to keep myself from asking him what and what I should do to know more about such sports, I have this in mind to be able to make some bets or gamble on such sports, my problem is I don't know how, if anyone is into such sports where should I begin? Any special UFC or Boxing platform where I can read news and updates about such sports?

How do you bet on such games? What are the things to be on the lookout for? Because I believe this is different from football ⚽, I also don't have access to satellite dish like my relative does, this is how he is able to get the best out of these sports.

what information can you give someone like me?
1195  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: April 26, 2023, 09:21:08 AM
Taking loan is a life-threatening plan for those who have not much money in their lives, you can't be broke or lack something valuable in your life and decide to go for loan, this is why we see people taking their own lives once they are able to pay back the loan they took, this is also why I said that loan can be life threatening.

Loan do work for some people, in fact some made it in life through loans, but majority end up having way more debt on their neck than they are supposed to, if I have to take loan I would have already own some valuable items or things like lands, properties and so on, so if what I don't expect happens I will have to sell some of my valuable item to pay back the loan.

Taking loans to invest in Cryptocurrency can be life threatening, you are warned, nothing is more important than lining a peaceful life.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spain's most anti-privacy and anti-crypto law comes into force. on: April 26, 2023, 08:06:13 AM
Calm down OP, this have once happened in my country and we are forced to stay away from centralized exchanges, all my friends including myself move completely to peer 2 peer exchange and do p2p trades to bank account or send money using p2p to buy some crypto, it's really not a problem if people in Spain know their way around this.

I also believe that this move won't last, I have not seen a country getting this tightened on crypto lasting longer, sooner or later they will know that they are missing out on something that the whole world is benefiting from, they will call it off and find a minimal fair way to approach this. Today this is no longer a problem here, now the government wants people to start trading in crypto using banks, but believe me, people have wised up, they just stick to the p2p trade, sayings it's even better and safer from the government.

It is as if the government's strictness helps the people in my country to get smarter and stay away from centralized entities.
1197  Economy / Gambling / Re: A reminder for gamblers to avoid FortuneJack (ongoing lawsuit, 120k usd stolen) on: April 25, 2023, 12:58:55 PM
I`m surprised. I see the FortuneJack about 5 years at least and i think that it is good casino with good reputation. I played their few times and didn`t like it but i can`t say something bad about it. I hadn`t any problems with deposit and withdraw, the bets counted correctly and i didn`t contact with the support. But it was small money.
I can`t say anything bad about casino or about the OP but as i see they both sure that they are right. In such situation i think that only the court law will decide who is to blame.
Do you believe that the court knows the right answer? It's very hard to tell, there is no such thing as caught in the act when it comes to online gambling casinos, even if their games are audited it still doesn't mean they won't have their way of cheating, you can never win a gambling casino when it comes to what is right and what is wrong, it's their pace, their home, their house, you can't beat them at their own game and there is no proof of anything.

Fortune Jack is not a scam until proven to be, I doubt this can be proven even if they are into scamming, I've never use the casino before and the few ones I use am satisfied with them, if Fortune Jack sucks on your end find another online casino, there are too many options this days.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 25, 2023, 11:30:54 AM
I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.

Still, I refuse this because I believe they are wrong, Bitcoin market has charts and I am playing with charts even if I am a full-time Bitcoin trader, all I need to do is read charts, and if I am good at it I will win vs gambling, where it's you vs a company which we can never tell if their games are completely fair or not.

Furthermore, I told them that Bitcoin investors tend to get positive results, while online casino gamblers tend to get negative results more than positive result, true or false?

I asked them to show me prove that they make more from gambling than they lose, none of them showed me, but I prove to them that I hardly have losses investing in Bitcoin lol .

Famz, drop your opinion on this, would you categorize these two as gambling? Because the only winning factor from Bitcoin investment is to just buy low and wait for a high price, it's not the same with casinos. Am I not making sense? I will like to hear from you.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most Reliable Halving Countdown? on: April 25, 2023, 10:12:42 AM
I know about Bitcoin mining since 2017 and I have come to understand that the halving can get closer or faster if the hashrate increases, assuming the 50% of Bitcoin mining hashrate is somehow removed from the present total hashrate, the next halving will take much longer, the reason why the date isn't accurate is because not all Bitcoin miners are loyal or stable? Some people mine coins 12 hours per day while some miners are always active, mining Bitcoin 24/7, the moment someone shut down their miner, the exact hashrate is turned off from the present max hashrate.

As you can see, this is why the exact halving date can't be accurate, the hashrate goes up and down as if it's a trading platform  Grin Grin Grin , if the next halving date is important to you then you can only set your target between April of 2024 to June of 2024, unless a massive Bitcoin mining farm decide to go out of business, it is not something to focus on right now, because right now accumulating Bitcoin is the most important.
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: it's so risky! on: April 25, 2023, 08:50:01 AM
I don't invest money easily in any asset because of fear of losing that money. i think of investing 80% of total savings.
do taking risk is important or not?

please quote all question and answer it's very helpful for me and others.
Living your life is risky, you can decide to sleep right now and never wake up the next day, if you are not taking risks you will never get anywhere, and you will remain in the same miserable spot forever, are you saying you invest 80% of your total savings or you are planning to invest 80% of your total savings? That's the problem.

80% of all your savings into crypto is way too risky, even if the only crypt you have in mind is Bitcoin it's still risky to go in with 80% of all your savings, you have a life to live and spending on yourself should always come first because life has no duplicate.

When you invest 10% or 20% of your total savings, you will build confidence in your decisions and your emotion will not play a negative role in your decision-making when the market is in a downtrend, be wise by always invest what you can only afford to lose, are you ready to lose 10% of your total savings or 20%? Find your answer and take the step.
