Is Phantom the same as Mist?
Not exactly, there's no equivalent, because our way of functionning is different and divided in two parts (front end, back end), that allow 100% decentralized applications running locally and securely in your browser. Phantom, the backend, has a more general purpose, it's decentralized web hosting, so think P2P sites. These sites are made with simple HTML5+CSS+JS. If you want to have an idea of what you can expect of it, watch a few videos about Zeronet on Youtube. Also, we won't just have Phantom running, we will reward users for running nodes! So that means a lot of support and willing people to host content for Phantom. Our interface is ShiftHub, and it has a more versatile purpose than Mist, think App store, so you can expect really almost any kind of decentralized web application running locally on your computer, that means the GUI wallet, a block explorer, DApps, games or any useful applications you can imagine. Possibilities are endless. This sounds better than LISK. Been trying to catch up here with this....saw this post and it has me thinking (and somewhat excited)  |

there will be a long way for lisk getting a good pump and they have the money to push the development for secure dapps this could be true the real lisk pump is after the devs got a hold of the raised money for mass marketing and development opening dump is the best time to get cheap coins then hold for large profits. whats everyones predictions on price? is there something coming out that us people out of the loop dont know about? thats why price suddenly jumping?
So where does Nexus go from here? Price is holding stable with almost zero volume, which seam like an indicator of holders expecting to happen something that most of the market is not aware of. Similar to VRC at the moment.
Nexus continues to be developed in the background and some strong relationships are also being built within the crypto community and outside. The Trust Network is laying the groundwork for much to come. As far as why the price is holding stable at this point, I believe many folks see the value in what Nexus currently is and what is to come, not to mention the low marketcap when compared to many other projects. well it bursted but it did not returned to 360k satoshi if that what you mean, but it still was dumped hard from its peak It will go to 0.036 bitcoin in the next few months if there are more DAO ICO. That will reduce the supply of Eth. Correct with the success of the DAO and now reduced supply of ETH we can expect some meaty price gains in ETH. 15% of existing Etheruem is locked in the DAO now. If the subscription trend continues, more than 20% will be locked. Yeah but you could also see ETH dump hard again too after DAO "releases". But most are sayin ETH will go nuts in summer....we shall see |

Now that Ethereum hit $1bn market cap for the second time.I was wondering what is the net holdings of Stephen Tual and Vitalik Buterin individually?
I think VB dumped some large amount of his own ETH holding some time ago, but surely he has some left. The devs' share was specified before the launch, but can't recall what it was (something like 10% to be split among all devs?). You can always ask them on reddit. Initial ETH about 60,000,000 priced at about $0.30 So early investors had to come up with $18 million in BTC = real money. It was not some magic premine like 90% of shitcoins. 80% of the original ETH went to Development (salaries $45k to $175K/year totaling $1 million/year)... 20% was a free gift to about 50-70 "founders" on a sliding scale... Because each founder was a high-profile Bitcoin "celebrity" that would now promote ETH. Well known "founders" got about 300,000 ETH at $0.30 which is worth $4 million today. I saw the Toronto Bitcoin Meetup became Toronto Ethereum Meetup overnight by buying off Anthony Diorio... 300,000 ETH will make most people do pretty much anything. Vitalik got about 540,000 ETH plus a salary > $100K/year in ETH and has been paid about 1,000,000 ETH directly... But probably has made many, many millions of ETH via side deals. So if the slock.it dudes like Tual got millions of dollars of ETH for free... Why are they building a massive trough where Insider Bovine can chomp on free ETH? Up until DAO it's all quite brilliantly played out. Personally, I think the DAO verges on fraud. That's crazy. But amazing lol. But well good for the ETH guys in a way who are working at it. But who are teh whales behind the scenes pushing ETH with their bots like this??? If it wasn't for that it'd still be worth $1usd...?? |

I went all in DAO some week ago. It is hard to resist a 50/50 chance lottery.
It looks like i got in at the right time anyway before ETH took off.
Now it is time to just sit back and hope for the best.
I was planing to buy ETH for DAO yesterday and the price went up. ETH sure made it right this time. If DAO will be widely use in the future as a token to invest on projects, DAO will also have higher value too which we all want. how can the DAO coin get a higher value as the the amount of ETH it has collected to fund their projects? when DAO is fund, so the value of the DAO coin will be the sum of the ETH its holding. That's what I was thinking |

Those ETH, DAO and Dash as far as i know have wallets too. Is there going to be a Windows wallet released for this new coin ? I like to keep my coins in my desktop wallet and to this day I only dealt with Bitcoin and Litecoin, so I know really nothing about these new coins like Etherium, DAO, Dash...
Lite client will have offline wallet storage option and you will be able to run it on any device so it will be much simpler to use for the end-users. That's a good thing. Maybe you will also have a web wallet as an option for thoes who only have few waves like me. Hard drive wallet is great though, synchronizing however is just a pain in the ass. ^ Lite client with no blockchain download, connecting instantly which you will be able to run on any device in your browser. You will be able to import and use it quickly on different devices also. No blockchain sync needed. How about running a full node? Are there any benefits in doing so, other than strengthening the network? Of course, details will be in tech paper. Full node will be sharing its rewards with the lite clients which are leasing their balance to it. Thanks for the answers mxxxxxx, I'll be looking forward to the white paper! Sounds good for the full nodes. Creating incentives to keep full nodes online is a good idea. +1 to that. What about masternodes? Or no need for waves requirements? |
