1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: August 23, 2022, 11:47:46 PM
I think if he really have a good analysis to know the possible outcome of the match, he can just using his money even though with small amount, as long as he keep winning, he can increase hit bets.

OP is not relying on his own analysis.

If you missed the part, OP is relying on fixed match information where he didn't know actually if that even came from a legit source. That's the reason why OP wants to consider taking a loan as those bets he already did are all WIN.

It's good that taking a loan is not considered for the meantime and I hope it won't change in case OP will hit several winning bets.
1402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 23, 2022, 11:42:32 PM
Betting odds are out, we have a very intriguing betting spread in game 2.

SMB -4.5
TNT +4.5

It looks like it's screaming that we should take the TNT, with that, it convince me more that SMB will win in game 2, not only they'll win but I'm seeing an easy cover on the spread.

There is no question that SMB might cover the handicap. Besides, they were able to get a big lead over TNT as much as 15 points in Game 1. That can probably be repeated and this time, they will be able to secure that lead in the end.

However, TNT is known for not giving up the game right away even though they were behind by a big lead. There will always be a chance that even if they will be behind again by a big lead, they can bounce back anytime and even turn the table upside down in favor of them.
1403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 23, 2022, 11:37:16 PM
Big companies like Google, YouTube, Twitch and streamers only care about their profits, so it makes no sense to expect them to be interested in protecting our children from information that can get them into trouble. We as parents should spend more time educating our children and explaining to them the principles by which this or that system works. Even a child can be taught how advertising, promotion and the risks of gambling can work.

And that should not be a big deal that these streaming sites should try to filter the audiences, especially the minor ones.

I'm sure most minors won't be interested in watching those gambling content.

They will just try gambling right away without watching those. They want to feel the experience rather than watch.
1404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling schools importance on: August 23, 2022, 11:27:40 PM
There are lots of responsible gamblers today that didn't go through school or something like that. Gambling doesn't need that pre-knowledge in order to get in. As long as we remain responsible at all times, we can do gambling properly. We can also learn some gambling techniques along the way as long as familiarize gambling terms and words mostly used here.

Just curious here, is gambling school really exist? Where we can find those?
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best portfolio for a $30k fund? on: August 23, 2022, 11:23:02 PM
Hey guys, just wanna ask, what do you think is the best crypto portfolio for a $30k fund?

Cheers!

New to crypto or not?

If new = Bitcoin
If not = then I think you can decide on your set of coins instead

It's not wise to follow others' suggestions regarding the best crypto portfolio.

We all have different ways how to manage it.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 22, 2022, 10:56:09 PM
One more season with Russell Westbrook and let's see if his inconsistency last season will be changed. Actually, he won't have to put great numbers per game as long as he is consistent in providing good support for the team. In fairness to him, he can play the entire season without even experiencing a minor injury. Still athletic as always and not injury prone. He just needs to find a way to become his former self where he is draining shots consecutibely and has the ability to slash the paint to put up a score + foul.
I don't think he will last a full season with the Lakers if he plays the way he play last season. I know that the blame should not be put on Westbrook's shoulder, but there was a huge expectations from him specially wih how the play with the Wizards the previous season.

On that matter, we can't really conclude right away what will happen to Westbrook's performance next season.

For me, just give this guy a chance. We can refrain from saying negative speculations for now.
And one more thing, we should not put expectations from him as it will just result in disappointment.

Lakers fans should now be used to doing that.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 22, 2022, 10:48:11 PM
My plan is, I will put 10k in game 2, if it wins, I will pay the loan and take the profit, if not, I will bet the remaining 20k in game 3, and just hope SMB will win. Do you think it's a good idea?

Do you have Plan B just in case you will lose those bets? Obviously, your plan is not a good idea as you are taking chances there.

But if you have Plan B where you can cover the loan even losing your bet, then your money, your decision. Although it will be a painful loss.

Even for let's say officiating will favor a certain team to win, we still don't know who will win at the end. Both teams are serious winning. The officiating can't control the flow of the ball and can't just dictate what should happen.
1408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play Slots? (long sessions / jumper / focussed) on: August 22, 2022, 10:41:11 PM
Option A : Do you play one slot for a long time, until you hit the feature or until you win something big?

I'm more like this. Focus on a single slot until I win something decent. If no win happened after playing for a while, I will now stop and go on to Option B where I will now jump on other slots and do again Option A.

That cycle repeats until I will be satisfied regardless of the results.

Option C should not be a thing to consider it's hard to set a target amount for a luck-based game like slots.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 22, 2022, 10:37:32 PM
The same situation with Ancajas because he originally prepared for a title defense fight against Kazuto Ioka but was replaced last minute by Fernando Martinez and Ancajas ultimately lost the title he held for quite a long time. These instances can't be predicted because the original boxer wanted to participate in the fight but an issue surfaced later on which resulted in a need for a substitute just like this time.

Even if there's no sudden replacement, Jerwin Ancajas might probably still lose that supposed original fight.

The reason is very clear and it was stated by his team. Ancajas is not in good shape because of his hard training to catch the required weight. That resulted in him not performing on his usual and Ioka might take that as an advantage.

As I read on some reports, that's the focus now of Ancajas camp as they are really preparing seriously to get a win on a rematch against Martinez.
1410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: August 22, 2022, 10:31:29 PM
It is a bizarre action on the part of ops, and from the look of things he is relying on those fixed games now since his first attempt the matches were won, but if he will ever read comments on thos threads he should know better now from the advises posted here that it is a.bad idea to take loan for betting on fixed games as he said because to me there is nothingg like fixed games and he should be careful because the effect of his action may lead him into financial problems in the future.

That's correct, OP will continue to rely on fixed game information for his betting.

If ever he will establish consecutive wins, there's a chance he might think of now pushing for the loan. I hope he will stick to his previous statement here on not getting a loan and will use instead his own money.

OP needs to just take things easy. There should be no rushing things in order to get a profit.
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 22, 2022, 10:27:59 PM
Any shared information on why Dmitry Bivol failed to secure a fight with Artur Beterbiev for the supposed undisputed match at the Light-Heavyweight Division?

We know Bivol really wants to chase more titles that's why he shows no interest in the possible rematch with Canelo right away. And now he is ended up in a mandatory title defense which is also a good match providing Zurdo Ramirez is also currently at his peak.

That would be a great clash!
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 21, 2022, 11:59:06 PM
Lakers is indeed a powerful team so its players should also represent the outstanding performances that the team needs. However, with Westbrook, even if he has not made outstanding performances in the previous games, but I don’t think Lakers will pursue trading Westbrook, instead the team will add more players that bring more asset to the team.

With Lebron James and Anthony Davis returning also on the court next season, I hope their trio will now worked effectively alongside their role player teammates.
1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 21, 2022, 11:57:58 PM

But future wise, both fighters are thinking about the possibilities personally. I see Crawford to be very keen to have a fight
this year, maybe if there's alternative options he will grab it.

What alternative he is looking for? Crawford who is also a champion is challenging him, isn't it good to just accept the challenge and prove to the fans that he is the better fighter? Spence is not a definition of a warrior if he act like that, he should not choose a fight just to remain undefeated.

Possibility to go into alternative if nothing officially happened in the negotiations on this match.

This plan started to be raised around June if I'm not mistaken but several months have passed, and still no official news has been provided.

Crawford is catching the age already. If Spence's fight is not possible, he will definitely push for alternatives to his plan.
1414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 21, 2022, 11:56:00 PM
Just curious here, is anyone from Fernando Martinez's hometown or supporters of him here in this thread?

I know a lot of PH boxing enthusiasts here including me but I don't see yet any supporters for Martinez.

Don't be shy. Share your sentiments here too. Smiley
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 19, 2022, 11:49:08 PM
Exerting more effort into the marketing will help them sell more, more PPV and gate entrance means more money, and probably more sponsorship as well. This is an anticipated fight and it could only happen once, so they have to take this opportunity to make more money.

Marketing is not a problem. Just announced officially that anticipated fight then brace for big sales and probably all tickets will be sold in just a day. This is a blockbuster fight that anyone waits for years. This will probably be the biggest fight this year of all the big fights that happened this year.

Before, it was just a dream and far from being happened. Now, it was close to happening and people's money is just waiting to watch this fight.

I always subscribe to PPV on our local cable channel for that type of event. I hope the price is not high though not expecting it to be cheap. Just between.
1416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 19, 2022, 11:45:15 PM
I guess LeBron can break Kareem's record this upcoming season anyway, as he only needs to score 1,326 points to break it. So if LeBron can score an average of 30 points per game and doesn't miss any games due to injury, he will be able to break that record by the 44th game of the upcoming season. In that case, it will happen on January 16 during the home game against the Rockets.

Yes, that is a realistic thing to achieve next season by Lebron James. Of course, the only thing that will prevent that from happening is being sidelined for more games because of common reasons such as injuries. LBJ also not showing any big signs of slowing down yet that's why achieving 1,326 points should not be that hard for him to reach this season.

Say all the hate to him but being the Top 1 NBA All-Time Points Leader is an insane record that is hard to achieve. There's no player right now that might be closed on doing that in the next 5 years or even a decade.
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Portfolio on: August 19, 2022, 11:34:27 PM
For all those coins you have mentioned, only LivePeer I know do experience a great increase since their inception.

I owned those coins at around $1 value way back years and guess what, the price increased to up to $50 if I remember it correctly. Checking the price, it's now around $10 and for me a good entry if you understand the risks.

For other coins on your portfolio, good luck managing those. Good to see that you are now starting to build your own experience.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 19, 2022, 11:31:49 PM
Long story short, I'm not being influenced by streamers but rather, if I saw something interesting on that content, I will consider watching those and see if there's really good entertainment behind that stream that will entertain me. I already watched lots of gambling-related content and it's not with the site that usually the reason why I'm watching those but the way streamer is doing their acts. That's the reason why it was getting lots of views as the streamer is good at his skills in hosting the content.

I'm not also taking it as a big question if those streamers are being paid or not by the gambling site they are promoting.

As long as they streamed a legit website, that's all good. That's what matters.
1419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 19, 2022, 11:27:03 PM
That would be another hype, however, I think Canelo will experience his 2nd losses on the higher division as certainly cannot bring his speed and power as evidenced by his fight against Bivol, or if he wants to avenge his loss, he can go for a rematch with Bivol after beating GGG, if that expectation will happen.

Beterbiev is a big deal. Canelo will just be a punching bag for this guy. Bivol is even much smaller in terms of overall firepower compare to Beterbiev. If Canelo becomes a kid facing Bivol, how much more against Beterbiev? Canelo is not yet ready to face champions at those levels but if he will challenge instead those on rankings before the Champion, that's a good start although it's not a title match and promoters always want a big fight to Canelo as their cash cow.

I hope this trilogy will not end up AGAIN with a controversial result. Close scores really always end up controversial.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of psychological tricks that casinos use. on: August 19, 2022, 11:20:00 PM
Once we pass by a casino, for sure we will not consider at least visiting them if they don't have good appearances right? For me, those are not psychological tricks but rather an important component for the casino business to attract people to visit their site.

That's a thing to be prioritized since gamblers want a comfortable view while doing gambling.

Gamblers also want a relaxed environment that's why interior designs should give that feeling to all gamblers playing there.
