1401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' ... but ... on: December 28, 2021, 09:41:30 PM
Talking about Donald Trump or any other old rich man who got his money using the old and fiat financial system, they all believe the asset like bitcoin is worthless and got no value because it's not something that got its own value like gold, in short words they do not understand the technology and they should not they even like something like bitcoin when they got rich using the fiat money, so that's completely normal, however, some of them are spreading bad speaks against bitcoin but they are investing on it for themselves. On the other hand, Melania is his wife but she git her own personality and it's not surprising to see she got a different opinion regarding bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Donald Trump has always been negative to bitcoin and crypto since he can't control it even when he was still in his power. And he never sees its worth and very high value because his focus was on accumulating huge amount of dollars, when in fact bitcoin has definitely a higher value than fiat.

However, with his wife's stand on NFT, if she will not be influenced with her own husband, then she will definitely succeed in the future. I just hope Donald Trump will be aware soon that NFT is part of blockchain.
1402  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we in a bear trap? on: December 28, 2021, 09:12:26 PM
So if we said 2025 or upto 2030 perhaps, its possible 100k can take that long but I do think it occurs on the precondition that BTC itself at least remains as valid and used as it is presently.
Bitcoin is always going to remain valid and used actively although I agree other cryptos are taking a share of the market rapidly. That said, they are all categorized as altcoins while Bitcoin is sort of standalone crypto so it will always remain valid and active.

I am sure $100k will be hit within 2022 itself, we don't have to look at 2025 or 2030 that time around we may be looking at million dollars maybe.
If the market will recover from this whole correction, i think we will end this year close to $60k at least. So its not bad at all to expect $100k by 2022 as we are really heading to its upward trend. If the market will attract positive news consistently, bitcoin price will eventually reach higher than $100k seeing how volatile it is.

However, we should not also close our minds that the bear season will also happen at the first quarter of 2022, but i know after rainy days a rainbow will appear, so its like a bullish season after its bearish trend.
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this what we have become? Bitcoin is Shiba`s Altcoin now?! on: December 28, 2021, 07:01:58 AM
Like a joke that happens in cryptocurrency, the shiba altcoin bitcoin will become a new history in crypto and everyone will think this is a miracle, the shiba altcoin is a meme coin that was built 1 year ago to become a year-end investment trend, bitcoin has never been equaled by any altcoin because bitcoin is still the king in cryptocurrency.
It will be considered as a joke as long as bitcoin remains to be the king of crypto. And Shiba Inu will always be a meme coin that is now starting to gain its real usage through its good community. Although we can't deny it that Shiba has been the trend these past few days but once a coin does not have a real life purpose from the start, it will never last for long and will only be profitable temporarily.

However, even if Shiba will rise to its fame, it will never control the fast growth of bitcoin and will never serve as an altcoin for Shiba.
1404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 27, 2021, 09:11:31 PM
How long have you been hodling a particular coin while the coin has been making progress for your profit taking and yet dropping in your eyes ?

Some people don't understand the hodling technique, they are hodling a particular coin and never sell to rebuy again or to sell and buy another coin. You can sell this coin and buy that other coin that is how to turn over your money.

I didn't tell you to sell your bitcoin and not to buy again. I only say you sell the bull and buy the bear  Grin

I think yes that should be a cycle in trading it might be either a short term or a long term trade. Just set up a profit to a percentage and when its seen that is being crossed, then yes its advised to sell them off and buy back another best coin which is at low price. Yes do not just stick with just one best coins. Choose 5 best coins just shift from one coin to other coins according to the market. This is the healthy trade I would say.
If we want to be profitable, then always grab good opportunities to sell so we can make profits. As no one gets to make profits if we only intend to hold the coins for so long. What OP means is simply, sell at the bulls and buy back again in time of bears as most of the potentials coins are cheaper in value. And to maximize profits, always diversify our portfolio with promising coins so we can sell them at a high value and make huge profits. And eventually fill in the portfolio again with trusted coins but always keep a bigger number of bitcoin as its always the most profitable crypto for now.
1405  Economy / Economics / Re: Dont just borrow money but for the right reason on: December 27, 2021, 07:57:47 PM

There's nothing wrong with loaning or borrowing but, to be honest, it's better if we'll not borrow funds to expand our assets. Crypto investment is profitable even metaverse but borrowing to invest more has huge risk and might only lead you to regrets in the end. It's better to save before investing so you'll have all the control over your investment without any pressure.
I agree with what you said, it's true that we are free to do anything including borrowing and borrowing.
But if we borrow with the aim of developing assets, even though we are already pros, I think this is still full of risks.
not without reason, because indeed here there is no guarantee that forever we will experience profits because of course there will be times when we will experience losses.
besides that it is better with own assets even with fewer assets but no debt compared to making excessive risk by borrowing funds from other people in the hope of getting a profit. this is not very good.
I think in all types of investments, knowing that they have their own risks, borrowing money is never a good start. Of course, it can expand or widen your assets but if you are entering in a market with no guaranteed profits, then it will only cause pressures and troubles later on thinking where to get the money that you will use to pay. Although crypto gives us huge profits, definitely bigger from other types of investments, but there is no fixed time or date as when to get the profits so paying the debt will mostly be compromised.
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the single worst piece of advice you ever received relative to Bitcoin? on: December 27, 2021, 08:25:32 AM
I often read lists of tips and other best practices in the Bitcoin world, but i thought it would be interesting to share the worst Bitcoin advice you may have received throughout your adventure in this incredible monetary revolution.

There was bad advice I once heard from a friend of mine about Bitcoin, and I still remember it to this day. My friend once said that I should sell
all the assets I have to buy Bitcoin, he convinced me that Bitcoin would make me rich if it was a big investment. At that time I didn't really understand
how Bitcoin worked, so I believed what my friend said. And finally I decided to sell my girlfriend's car to be able to buy Bitcoin, because at that time
I didn't have any assets to sell. Then because I still lacked knowledge, I panicked when the Bitcoin price fell deep enough and I decided to sell
the Bitcoin that I have at a loss. The bad advice my friend gave me, made me have a big debt, because I had to replace my girlfriend's car.
That was a terrible one. Bad advices are those coming from those people who lack of knowledge but even think they are knowledgeable as legends. And if you follow them, that's when you end up losing. As for me, i was advised before to never invest in bitcoin as it was a ponzi scheme, so i doubted it at first. But when i started seeing my friend's investments growing because of bitcoin, that's when i realized that bitcoin isn't a big scam after all. Now i'm starting to enjoy all my profits in bitcoin and main altcoins and that's because i never believed those negative advices from bitcoin haters.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 24, 2021, 09:18:09 PM
For games tomorrow, I like to watch the Nets vs Lakers but I am not sure on who are gonna play, it's looking like a preseason game to me.

Looking at the list, almost everyone is not available to play.
https://www.covers.com/sport/basketball/nba/matchup/250541

However, I still think that the Lakers will win as they are hungry to win, Lakers are in 4 losing streak, about to break that losing streak.

Follow your own analysis, no one knows the exact outcome anyway, so may the best prediction wins. I check the list of players that are out in the game, I don't see Lebron is out for the Lakers, while Durant is out for the Nets but they have Harden back in this game. GL mate, I'm thinking of riding on the same pick as Lakers needs to start winning again.

Right, Durant is out and with a lot of Nets players as well including Durant.

James is probable, so it's really hard to bet right now unless we see how the game evolved.

Both the ML and handicap is close, meaning the betting public is still unsure, but I will go with the Lakers +1.5 here. Yes, they are in desperate to get a win.

Good luck buddy, having you on the same side makes me comfortable with my bet. It's going to be Lebron James vs James Harden, it's still fun to watch, and based on the past result, when these two faces each other, Lebron James are likely to win, so with that said, our chance to win is better now although Lakers is an underdog.
1408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 24, 2021, 08:47:25 PM
~
I don't know about Logan Paul, but they say Mike Tyson is still using drugs. But it seems to me that as it did not interfere him in the past and will not affect the fight with Logan Paul.
I do not think he is using drugs, it was a known fact that he was addicted to cocaine but right now he is clean but he does smoke marijuana on a daily basis and you cannot term it as a drug as it has healing affects and it is legal in the US in most states.
That's not illegal drugs so it's not a problem, and since he is still fit and could fight, so that drug does not affect his body.

I'm also more inclined to think that we won't see any furious boxing, most likely it will be a show where the winner will be decided by decision of judges and in all likelihood it will be Mike Tyson.
From what i understand, the winner can be decided only if the opponent is knocked out and there is no winner if the fight goes to the decision.
That's what I read as well, so if there's no KO in this fight, then the result would be a draw. Thing is, Logan Paul IIRC, he was not been KO in his boxing career, while Mike Tyson is very popular because he can KO a boxer back in the day, but this time, I'm not sure if he still got it.

@harizen, if you can put a poll for us to vote, that would make this thread more interesting. I know that most of the posts here favors Spence, but I'm sure there are bettors out there who just want to vote and not share their opinion regarding the fight. No pressure, it's just a recommendation.
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 24, 2021, 10:55:58 AM
Christmas is suppose to be fan, I mean watching games with the star players in different teams is fun to watch as we can see a competition at a full level, but looks like we are not gonna see it this Christmas.

It's ok regardless of who will play or not because of safety and health protocols. Those who won't be able to play on Christmas day doesn't mean their respective team will not be on their full level. Lots of big matches on Christmas day games we sure don't want to miss.

Nets vs Lakers
Warriors vs Suns

Can't wait to watch these games.

I think Warriors vs Suns is better to watch as this team is already tied 1-1 this season so far. They won a game in their respective home court but the last time the Suns lose, they were playing without Booker. Tomorrow they'll be in their home court again so I think Suns will get this, they are now -5, but not sure they'll cover that spread as Warriors are really doing well.
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 24, 2021, 10:10:21 AM
I am waiting to see the names on the casino experts category, I remember some names who are consistent with their wins on casinos games on different gambling platforms but I am not sure that will fall into this category so I am just going to remain silent until someone expose them. Cheesy
This is probably on sports betting only as you cannot share your picks in casino, gamblers will decide during live games while on sports betting, we can put our bet before the game will start and even in the live games.
1413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tesla accepting Bitcoin payments and ..... Doge ? on: December 23, 2021, 10:19:42 PM
I think Tesla and Elon Musk don't really accept bitcoin and Doge payments for their cars. Elon Musk has always been in the spotlight of crypto investors. Elon Musk is known in social media circles as a major troll, making statements that could affect the price of bitcoin and Doge. Moreover, this is not the first time he has made a mess on social media. Since last year, he made a statement that received Dogecoin payments for his vehicles but then he canceled them.

It's doesn't matter though, bitcoin is already too big and not even one man like Elon Musk can stop it.

If he accept it like what he did before then good, if not we are going to be ok. And lately though, as far as I'm concern, he is no longer relevant to the bitcoin ecosystem.

Yes, he could have invested on it, but that's just it. We should move forward and totally forget about him.
Of course Elon Musk can't stop bitcoin. but we also can't just forget Elon Musk's presence in the Cryptocurrency world because every time Elon Musk tweets about cryptocurrency, the market seems to react to it.

People don't want to miss the hype that's why we see how the market react for certain times but we shouldn't get hype for certain situation since we know Elon sometimes have downturns after he already accumulated profit again.  So we need to be watchful on what is the content of his tweet since sometimes his influence can manipulate the minds of the people especially with those new ones.

Yeah, that's what is called Elon Hype Grin
Basically, Elon has been silent for weeks about any discussion of his crypto holdings or any crypto that he wants to tweet after he had a harvest to his last tweet. I reckon that Elon Musk is now getting more famous and gained many followers as many people are watching what would he tweet next time, is he going to create a new hype or is he going to make another crypto dip just like what he did to SHIB last time.
Well, this is not new for us as we know Elon how he hyped Dogecoin and when stops shilling on it, its value certainly creates a downward trend. And with this new hype that Tesla accepting dogecoin, this is more of a price manipulation so that its value will be hyped again and starts to increase. Knowing Elon, he lives for his own desires so we should limits when it comes to him.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need bitcoin... on: December 23, 2021, 09:48:28 PM
The world is heading towards a more digital era and as such, some form of digital currency is needed to meet up with the advances in technology of the world. For a fact, digital fiat seems to step in but then, the quest for decentralisation and some form of currency without regulation from the government, privacy ensured and no bank interference is what necessitates bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. Its a new world order and we've got to live with it because, fighting it would be fighting one's self.
Yes. We need to live by bitcoin and decentralized currencies as they will be the future seeing we are starting to live in this digital age. Maybe the government will be more open about bitcoin and the rest of crypto in the next years to follow as people who are now inclined into bitcoin and the cryptp world are now becoming inevitable. Even if the government will always fight for it, they will never succeed in a battle once the people are the most concerned.
1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrencies to invest in 2022 on: December 23, 2021, 09:17:48 PM
Based on what is happening in the market right now , bitcoin and ethereum are still the top cryptocurrencies to invest in 2022. Those coins are very good for both short and long team investment which many investors has confirmed it few months ago in the community. I will still like to invest on bitcoin and ethereum in 2022 because those coins really perform well in the exchange market.
Bitcoin maintain 1st position among other cryptocurrencies  through out the year 2021 and ethereum maintain second position among other cryptocurrencies through out the year too.

It is true that Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best options for investment in 2022, because until now both of them have always been in the top
cryptocurrency rankings. This means that it is very safe to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum, even the performance of the two can be said to be
extraordinary in 2021. We can try investing in new projects, but it is better that most of the capital we have is used to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
I believe the future of Bitcoin and Ethereum is very bright, it can generate huge profits if we invest for the long term. Especially for newbies,
I recommend starting investment by choosing Bitcoin and Ethereum.

This is true. Bitcoin, ethereum and even BNB are the top and profitable investments we have this 2021 and even by next year hopefully. If we aim of maximizing our returns, these three should be given top priorities as they are bound to increase their value every year. Investing with them could mean higher profits particularly if we bought them at a much lower price and sell them only at their peaks. The fact that we want to hold them for long so we should not be bothered no matter how many dips will come because we only intend to sell them when prices are at their ATH.
1416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many consecutive looses can you handle in trading? on: December 23, 2021, 07:38:03 AM
I don't usually trade shorts. However, if any asset increases as per my expectation , I try to give it up. There are many times when there is a loss, but I try to keep the loss for the long tram and the loss handle basically depends on your balance and how much you are trading. Since it is a volatile market, I take loss as a part of trading.
Losses are definitely part of trading. However, if you see yourself keeping in losses like three times or more, i think that should call your attention. Although losses are inevitable, but lossing consistently means there is something wrong with how you trade, or your own trading strategy specifically. In this case, if you see yourself willing to learn more so you can do better, then change your strategy. But if you still end up losing your money again, i guess staying out from crypto trading will be better for you.
1417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good man/woman leaves an inheritance on: December 23, 2021, 06:50:34 AM
An old proverb says “A good man/woman leaves an inheritance to his children's children…”. Since the inception of the world, whenever a person dies, their personal assets like money, possessions and property are either shared as stated in a will or in accordance with the law of succession where the deceased leaves no will. In most cases, the beneficiaries include may their spouse(s)/civil partner, child or children and grandchildren. In other cases, their brothers and sisters, parents or parent, nephews and nieces, favorite charity organization and state (where there is no relative) get to be the beneficiaries.

I recon that in the coming years folks are going to will their wallet seed and passphrases to their family members, their favorite charity, and even their kids unborn. As an investor or crypto trader is this a legacy you would want to leave behind?
bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency that I have is a valuable legacy for my children in the future...

all parents must have thought of good things for their children's future and I see cryptocurrency has become a very good valuable asset for inheritance other than property, savings or gold. in the future, this will definitely be a trend.

Ofcourse there's no parents in todays world that aren't thinking about what's good for their children especially no one exactly knows when is our time to leave this world. An inheritance would be the first thing to pop in the parents mind that they could leave it to their children. An inheritance of a cryptocurrency wallet isn't a bad idea afterall we are now living in a tech era, that would be a big help to the beneficiaries as they're starting on their own feet.
Well, its quite risky as crypto gets complicated particularly for non tech savvy. But i'm still thinking that maybe in the future i can leave them with some assets and properties but not in the form of crypto. Also, i would rather choose fiat money instead so they can enjoy and benefit from it in times of financial problems and they can use it too to build a bright future for my grandsons.

However, crypto has definitely higher value than fiat but still, i think it will only make them get into troubles in the future if they can't manage it correctly, and end up losing all the said cryptos.
1418  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise or fall. on: December 22, 2021, 11:29:51 PM
Its just a December offer you will get 20% discount on $60K so its actually 50K at the moment actually this is inspired from someone's Avatar. Smiley

Bitcoin may rise or fall which can't be predicted by anyone to be honest, next question please.
Yes, we can say that, whenever there is a correction there is opportunity to invest at a lower valuation  Cheesy. As an investor majority wants to enter a lower valuation and not when the market is rallying at an all time high, i am sure majority are waiting  for the market to go through a correction before entering. Personally i am also not confident to invest now as the market can go in either direction,
The market has been very unstable in the past few days and we don't know either if it stays below $50k or will surpass the $50k level. But given the current condition, this gives more oppotunities for those who wants to enter the market as the prices are not yet in their peaks.

However, we cannot really point if the next thing will happen is will bitcoin rise or fall. Because of its uncertainty, most of the people are not making any movement right now as they are more on observing the market.
1419  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice for the season. on: December 22, 2021, 08:53:05 PM
This is actually pretty good advice overall, but I would add that no one can really control whether they have to use their money (or bitcoin) if it’s all they have to spend. It’s great to try and save up as much crypto/bitcoin as  possible but bills have to be paid. I guess you might be referring more so to extra spending, in that case of course you should always do you best to save.
Bills should always be paid because they are our monthly obligations and knowing that we got to consumed and benefited from them. But when it comes to extra preparations like Christmas and New Year, i guess it will not be bad at all if we spend for foods for noche buena and for gifts to share this holiday season. Other than that, it may mean spending too much already. But in the end, its your own money so you are responsible to manage your expenses, enough that it won't create troubles in the next year and made you suffer financially.
1420  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop or continue trading on: December 22, 2021, 08:05:11 PM
I have lost all my capital to trading but still yet I feel the urge to trade more, I spent a huge capital to trade some new coins recently and was actively involved in spot trading. But recently I lost all my capital and I decided to give a break but now am feeling I should return back to trading.
That is your problem, you feel that you should go back and trade the markets but you need to be honest to yourself, during this time you have been away from the markets what have you done to improve whatever strategy that you are using, assuming you are using one? If you have done nothing to improve what you were doing then you are going to get the same results you got before, and in that case I will recommend that you never trade again as you do not have what it is necessary to become successful in any market.
The final decision still lies in your own hands. If you want to grow more and you did a lot of preparations just to regain all your losses, then you deserve to take a second chance. But if you are still in doubt because you know you will be repeating the same mistakes again, then better, do not come back to trading again as it will only mean more losses to come. Trading can be tried by everyone but not all those who tried end up being successful.
