It's looking good tbh.
14042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to create a professional commercial for bitcoin --how do I go about it? on: June 05, 2015, 04:40:23 PM
If you want a professional result, you are going to need some professionals, maybe even some adults.

lol
14043  Economy / Speculation / Re: graphical predictions of the next three years on: June 05, 2015, 04:37:18 PM
So, I thought it might be fun if people shared their predictions of how they think the price will move over the next three years in a graphical format. You can take the image below and open it in paint or whatever and add your squiggly line to the end of it.

You can add your thoughts along with your image as well if you like, but it's not mandatory. I think it might be interesting to see what kind of action people are expecting to see if there is any trend in expectations.http://imgur.com/1f1sD5F

Here is my prediction, but I don't have much in the way of technical analysis. I am just a newbie and this is my instinct's best guess.

EDIT: Well that's no good. I guess newbies can't post images. I've left the links there, maybe someone could repost the images so that they can be displayed in the post below. *tuts

Went off the chart there...  Good job.  Keep it up.

14045  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk effect on Bitcoin ? on: June 05, 2015, 02:53:33 PM
I wanted to hear some suggestions and opinions about this , what's the real effect of Bitcointalk on Bitcoin ?
I personally don't think that Bitcoin would be that successfull as it is now if there was no Bitcointalk and a good community that answer our questions .
Also I think that if Bitcointalk goes down (like .. for ever) Bitcoin will probably go down too and lose a lot of users . I know I know you will probably say there is Alternatives like Reddit or other forums but they aren't good as Bitcointalk .

Anyway let me know what do you think about this . [ Added a poll too ]

lol
14046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares Loves Puppies on: June 05, 2015, 02:52:06 PM
I'll post links to all the links to all the links right here - starting Monday.

"Doozy."  Now there's a word I haven't used in a while.

Ranks right up there with "swell"!

Nevertheless, they both do apply to Monday copacetically.

14047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Gavin resign from developement of Bitcoin? [POLL] on: June 05, 2015, 07:27:32 AM
So it turns out:
-Gavin was planning to foist his and Hearns' XT altcoin on the community for one year plus and this was all planned for a long time. (http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/37vg8y/is_the_blockstream_company_the_reason_why_4_core/crqbd78)
-Gavin is the only dev who supports this proposal (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/34y48z/mike_hearn_the_capacity_cliff_and_why_we_cant_use/cqz9xf3)
-Gavin caused attrition not only for the devteam but for all of the community
-He caused a lot of important people in the space to be upset and even some devs threaten to leave
-Gavin caused a decline in the price of Bitcoin which could possibly turn into panic selling (we don't know yet)
-Gavin caused a serious loss in investors confidence and thus harmed Bitcoin greatly
-He sends blackmail letters to the Bitcoin community "do how i say or else ..."
-He doesn't care for decentralisation
-He lies about many things
-He tried a power grab and sides with people who support blacklisting of coins
-He caused massive unease for everyone for prolonged time
-He has no idea what consensus is or disrespects it willfully
-A majority of the community thinks he is a CIA mole (he lost his marbles)
-He threatens to risk network consensus and thus the value of a lot of peoples' investement

There are certainly more things to list. I'll complete the list later on.

I think it's time to think about if he is really an asset for Bitcoin or more of a burden right now. I have a feeling Bitcoin could rebound +10% if he would resign and thus end this discussion and bring back some investors confidence again. What do you think?

No.  I think he should push for Bitcoin XT.  He should start lobbying and be more vocal about it.  This is a truly exciting time for Bitcoin.

Stellar Enters Legal Dispute With Bitstamp, Ripple and Jed McCaleb

The legal battle over roughly $1m in disputed funds continues between Ripple Labs and founder and ex-employee Jed McCaleb, with a flurry of new court filings over the past month setting the stage for conflict between the two sides.

In total, $1,038,172 is currently being held by digital currency exchange Bitstamp, an amount that both Ripple Labs and the Stellar Development Foundation, McCaleb's current employer, are now seeking.

Both sides have weighed in on whether the court should grant Bitstamp’s request to be discharged from the case after it filed a complaint for interpleader on 1st April. As part of that request, dated 13th May, Bitstamp asked the court for permission to transfer the funds to Stellar.

14049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with Vertcoin? on: June 05, 2015, 03:04:21 AM
Doubtful that Ryanpumper is the driver of this one.  More like Bobsurplus and co.
14050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using less Bitcoin than you did last year? on: June 03, 2015, 02:34:21 PM

Are you using less Bitcoin than you did last year?

Yes.
14051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anti-fork guys: What is YOUR proposal? on: June 03, 2015, 05:47:12 AM
I'm not anti nor pro the change.  But I think if block size stays the same, off chain transactions might help with scalability.  Not to mention the blockchain's growing size.

I guess it's also time to look at other technologies like Ripple or OT...  Just my 2c.
14052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Show me your Bitcoin XT on: June 02, 2015, 08:45:59 AM
I'm also switching my node to XT.
I've already switched mine.  Doubled my bitcoin in five minutes.  If anyone wants to buy BitcoinCore bitcoin, I'll sell them for a discount of $175.  I am also selling the new bitcoin BitcoinXt for $250.  Send me a PM with your address.  I can make the trade today.

And so it begins...  See some of you in Litecoin.  Slowly transferring there for the time being..
14053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: June 02, 2015, 04:18:39 AM
Hello!  Can I park some funds here for a bit, while shit's going down at Bitcoin Land?  I heard LTC is a safe haven coin.
14054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Gavin Andresen undercover for the CIA? on: June 02, 2015, 04:16:24 AM
When Gavin went to see the CIA, do you think they turned him? Is this why Satoshi left? Maybe this has been USA's plan from the beginning, which is why they don't fear BTC. Gavin is on a secret mission to tear the community into two; thus the death of bitcoin from the core v XT debate.

Thoughts? I'm genuinely worried what this will do to bitcoin, I don't know if I should dump or not. If Gavin goes to XT, does that mean we're all bag holders of a worthless altcoin, or is XT considered an altcoin? What is real anymore?

You win USA. Bitcoin is a failure; that was a smart move from the CIA. Checkmate, Satoshi.

Cool.  See you all in Litecoin.
14055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing Confidence... Careful Gavin A and G Maxwell! on: June 02, 2015, 04:11:03 AM
...

OK, as a non-expert, all of this controversy re the future of Bitcoin comes perilously close to discouraging use of BTC...

"Confidence makes a currency."

All of this talk of forks, selling BTC by well-known names, etc. is likely to lead to loss of confidence in Bitcoin.  Maybe those intimately involved with BTC development might not see this, but a loss of confidence among the general public (better said: casual users of BTC) will be a serious blow to confidence.

Loss of confidence would cause me (and many others I would guess) to SELL my Bitcoin.

Maybe that's the agenda...
14056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [KIM] kim jong-un coin!!! on: June 01, 2015, 11:28:33 AM
Is it a good idea to create the kim jong-un coin? I want to create my own coin and i tought it was a funny idea..
If you see how successful the doge coin  become why not give Kim a change?
So is it a good idea or just waste of time to create?

HAHA!  Awesome idea!  Grin
14057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core or XT? POLL on: June 01, 2015, 11:24:29 AM
I voted core because everybody is on XT.  That one vote on core is mine.

It should have at least decent volume and a nice looking trend up.
