If you look on Ebay you will find lots of block erupters for cheap.  It is more of for fun on most usb miners don't expect ROI.

So far the new software is looking promising, have been testing alongside with new firmware and 1 hour reset.

If your's is currently working good and consistent without upgrading I would say stay with your current setup.  But if you are not it's worth using.  Just keep in mind that it's using a Chinese program. Exact same spots as English on buttons so not hard to use if familiar with previous use of program.

Also you can downgrade firmware and use old software if it does not work.

*I have not heard of a single SilverFish having a problem with firmware or hurting it from it, but just putting a standard warning for all firmware.  If power goes out, problem from upgrading, etc during process I take no responsibility on upgrading firmware.

Quality control going on http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/194DL15E6iK68QtteGfWbkDgFikCmMywpv looking good!

Hoping for tomorrow starting rentals.  This depends on timeline of new image being put on units.  The image will be current and in English, trying to make as customer friendly as possible.

Thanks to Mr. Lee this is about ready for round 2!  This is hosted in the professional data center.  It will have very current firmware that works good that will be uploaded soon to each unit.

They are currently mining to do a quality check as you are valuable customers and we want to provide a quality product.  Within the next day rentals are hoped to be ready to go!

I will post link to miners after it's all set up to see quality Smiley.  As always happy mining!

Put a SFMinerR3.04 restart batch file up.  Again you make one from it, for your security I do not make batch files for download.

Still testing will let you know results more on new firmware and software after a little more testing.
14067  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group]1649$ for dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: July 07, 2014, 04:34:41 AM

There was a SilverFish firmware and software update released.  I'm currently trying it, and will let you know results. I suggest waiting until I test it. Only thing to warn so far is there currently is no English version for the release 3 that I have found.  But everything is the same spot, and you can import your settings so it is not a huge factor.

In the Lee Group SilverFish-28 Guide the second post still has a 1 Hour SilverFish restarting batch file. That has helped some who's rates drop drastically after multiple hours.

SilverFish has released new software and firmware (5th firmware).  Currently testing to see how it does.  Only thing I have noticed is the SilverFish software seems not have a English version yet.

Again will let you know what my results are.

2. For those BE, the electricity cost will be larger than the bitcoin you can mine with them.

Really? But these are ASIC chips inside these miners. And a USB slot uses very little power. If true, then I didn't know the situation was this bad. Sad

Power on these are very little but you will have to have powered hubs.  If you search there is a great thread on how many can go on certain models.

But i would really look into fee's.  I think by the time you add up shipping, ebay, paypal.  Profit will be very very small if any.
The USB miners are not very efficient in terms of Ghs/watt. The newer, higher hashpowered machines have much better efficiency.

Pretty much so.
It is true that the USB miners draw little power, but the hashrate is just too low compared with the difficulty.

If you read up I was suggesting not to do this adventure of buying and selling because of fees.

I was just warning if hes going to be thinking hes mining when waiting to sell hes going to need powered hubs if doing  "quantity" .  Again  though I don't suggest this business plan

Mining and trading are the two best if you have the cash to start up.
14071  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is mining with a laptop different from running Crysis on max settings? on: July 06, 2014, 06:40:56 PM
It doesn't really matter if you using your laptop to run high-end game or mining as long as your CPU & GPU temperature is lower then 75C and it should last quite long.

The problem is, your laptop GPU temperature could reach 80+ degree C in a short period of time mining (especially scrypt) Cheesy

This thread should just be marked with no don't do it and closed Smiley.

There are multiple options.  But on this forum there is a board for loaning.  But again with being new you will need collateral.  Most likely alt coins or something will be wanted.
14073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is mining with a laptop different from running Crysis on max settings? on: July 06, 2014, 12:04:36 PM
Just like the way it is possible to set settings to medium or low in Crysis to make it playable and you don't have to play Crysis every hour of every day, is it possible to set mining intensity to medium or low? And only run the miner a couple of hours a day?

Thanks.

You could adjust settingss.... but the amount you make would be very little.  No matter what the anwser is pretty going to be if your laptop is nice enough to "game" on you are risking to much on small profit.

Even if you have warranty it's not going to be fun to do a RMA on entire laptop if it comes to it.
14074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help me on: July 06, 2014, 07:47:21 AM
You could ask over on the Lending subforum here but if you haven't got any collateral to offer you may as well not bother as nobody will lend you the money without it.

Very true if you have alt coins or something your much more likely to get loan.  Being new will throw up red flags unless you have something backing your loan.

Glad to hear you are not hitting faucets all day for little.  Signature campaign is going to pay more in most cases.  Might hang out on the forums a bit once your activity level goes up it will pay better.
14076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it profitable buying and selling USB miners? on: July 06, 2014, 07:42:54 AM
The only way to find out is to do a test. buy 20 of them and see how they sell..

What you might be better off doing is buying the miners in bulk lots of 10+ and reselling them individually for a small profit. This should save shipping costs and people are usually willing to buy more for an individual miner.

Yup, this is what I intend to do. Just buy a whole bunch of them for cheap and resell them individually. Saves on fees and shipping costs as well. Because people who are selling them in lots of 10+ tend to want to get rid of them as quickly as possible so they sell them for cheap (per unit). And people who want to just experiment with one or two don't want to buy 10+ so there is an opportunity to profit.

i bought 2000$ litecoins at 11.8$ , 2 months ago   Embarrassed
please advise me sell it or wait ? or change it with darkcoin or what ? Huh

No one can give you a exact answer to this.  It all has risk's.  I hope to see litecoin go back up, but timeline is hard to say.

There is a marketplace for digital goods on this forum.  I would try that.  Can see trust and past trades.
