If you haven’t noticed, traditional retail is struggling to stay alive. That means discounts, loyalty programs and other incentives are becoming more vital than ever to attract and retain customers. Gatcoin is in a position of strength to capitalize on this demand. If Groupon is a crude proxy for what Gatcoin can do, then the future looks very bright. +4

A-Drop is essentially real-time target marketing that allows retailers to narrow in on their ideal demographic within minutes. This technology, which is currently patent-pending, could be an extremely powerful draw for retailers. +3

Brick and mortal retail shops are becoming an endangered species nowadays. Why go to a mall when you can order online? That begs the question, are we not going in the wrong direction by luring shoppers into physical stores?

Especially because these retail shops having a hard time to survive against all the online shops, it makes sense to have this A drop technology. With it, customers will be incentivized to come to these physical stores. The cities here in Germany would look really weird when there would be no shopping streets anymore.
Well , online stores wont be able to replace physical stores, people can immediately see and check or even try the goods to be bought there.
Its like why you still want to meet someone if you can have a phone/video call with him/her.

There are some retailer in my country who said they will never offer loyalty programs but instead they will just have lower prices than competition and guess what, all of them are now involved in some kind of card, discount and bonus campaign. I guess its just too popular to not include it in your businesses program.

Does anyone know how much SOMA raised so far? They had this information on they website but now it's removed  Huh
Click "ICO sale" on their website, or you can go to this link : https://soma.co/ico1/

It's 8181417 SCT out of 54 mil so far.

So almost the same as last week. Told ya, unless they show some more , like alpha app for android or closed beta or new parntnerships, ICO extension is useless

Yes, they lack something to attract more investors, I hoped for an android alpha app but they haven't announced anything yet. Moreover, their communication here isn't really good, I mean during an ICO devs should be present in all channels to answer questions and keep the community informed.

Total tokens distributed
8193917 SCT

Its increasing but very very slowly and I just hope devs will do something about attracting more investors.

This is 5,6 mil $ calculated form current ETH price which is quite an increase since last week so there is still a chance they will narrow the gap to their goal.

People also can add ERC tokens to EtherDelta themselves. But no sense in this. Better to wait good exchanges.

I had the good idea to test etherdelta again this afternoon.

Never, never I'll trade on this shit.
etherdelta isn't that bad. Somethimes you can make some very cheap deals there. You just have to know how it works.

like today sold all old ebtc tokens there after the swap Smiley made 0.1eth off of worthless tokens, i love ED Smiley

but i had to spend some time to understand it and watched some tutorials too ><" plus, it is not very fast but cheap fees.

Delta is the shittiest exchange there is right now. They say its decentralized and thats why anyone can add a token and start trading. Its because of that some tokens are being sold before the end of their ICO in lower prices.

it's also got a really terrible interface that is so un-user friendly. you never know where to deposit tokens and where to sell. I hope this token gets access to another exchange asap.

I am really surprised that nobody released an improved version of EtherDelata yet. A new platform with lower fees and better graphic interface.
Anyways i would also like to see it on other exchanges but its still a long way till then.

1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DAO PlayMarket 2.0 - App Store based on the blockchain and smart contracts on: October 31, 2017, 04:24:46 PM
So in theory developer can publish his app on Google play store for promotion and simultaneously on your PlayMarket 2.0 where he can get extra funds for further development of the app. I know it was not meant like this, but i can see it being use like this until you get a bigger user base.

Its impressive that you have partners already, this will help with massive recognition in the future. Since there are more an more startups in crypto every day, i can see your idea being used very often.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: October 31, 2017, 01:46:53 PM
Optimization of the soma app will come soon, it’s just an alpha its normal, and its pretty great at the moment, youccan see how the platform will be and some features. You can check some screen, people share link in the thread.
Unfortunatelly they not launched for android first so i just can see this app from screen, can't try it directly. But no problem, the team have been working hard, maybe soon soma app for android will launch

I saw some screenshots but it was only a little, it would be great if someone could make a video of their iOS version.
With extension of ICO they are bound to get more starting capital for faster and better improvements of their platform.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟[ANN][ICO]🌟 GIZER - The Global Gaming Network 🌐 ► Presale 20th Oct. 🔥 on: October 31, 2017, 01:31:45 PM
GIZER is  gaining foothold in gaming industry, thanks to its team, it is aligned with strategic partners that would be essential for its success.
For this kind of business having strong partners is one of the most important things. I hope they work hard on this area.
I'm sure that there will be many big companies that would want to be partners with gizer platform Wink

Why wouldnt they, its a cheap way to promote their games and tournaments and they will get a big chunk of user base with Gizer. Some people would consider switching to other games if the tournament prizes will be higher.

Will your token be on exchanges?

Tokens will be on exchanges afer ICO. Now only pre-Ico running..

What is the policy for US investors for their ICO? I guess if you cant invest then, its really important to you when the coin will be available on exchanges. Im sure we will have all the information in time.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 31, 2017, 01:20:19 PM
Yes the comparasion between PayPal and Utrust is really clever, Utrust will become better than PayPal with all the features they will release, and especially crypto users really enjoy a platform like Utrust, it’s a real need at the moment.

I don't think to be better than paypal enough in the long term they should be in use more than paypal. If they can reach this goal, I can't think of what can happen to their value.

If they dont decide to use fiat as payment system in the future, we can think of Utrust like a companion of Paypal, an extension of it. And i dont mind comparing those two since its the easiest way to explain Utrust purpose to someone.

Of course, especially when top eSports brands will partner up with Gizer as planned for Feb 2018, it will be great.

They must be really certain in their partnership if they are announcing it for February. Did they already started the negotiations or its just on their plan list?
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 ⚡🚀ANN: GATCOIN Blockchain Rewards Program [Presale on 28 October]🌟 ⚡🚀 on: October 31, 2017, 10:12:10 AM
ICO will be in december, in the meantime the demostrative app will be released and it will be the mother of all marketing moves

I hoped GATCOIN will someday or in the near future, will consolidate all rewards programs worldwide. Though its hard to be implement, it is not impossible as well.

I think investing in rewards programs is smart, since people will always be attracted to rewards. Today I saw that I could book flights with my miles, I was so excited! I can see that happening too with Gatcoin, when you get a targeted drop on your phone, you will instantly get dopamine to your brain!

Well, we are all a little greedy by nature and merchants take advantage of that all the time. You are absolutely right, if we see a discount or a chance to use a coupon, we will grab it immediately. Gatcoin is a perfect example of taking advantage of this behavior which will always be present in all of us.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: October 31, 2017, 09:59:49 AM

This article is about SOMA. This article has a catchy title; Can blockchains replace retail giants like Amazon and eBay?
https://thenextweb.com/contributors/2017/08/29/can-blockchains-replace-retail-giants-like-amazon-ebay/#.tnw_JXj6256w

So guys what do you think? Can blockchains replace retail giants in the future?

Dont think they can be replaced but those retail giants will use blockchain for sure in the future!
The first big retail giant who will use blockchain will be a step futher then the competition and will have more market value!

Some people are only just starting to use eBay and similar sites and its pretty new concept for them, thats why I cant see everyone moving to blockchain just yet.
Its certainty exciting idea for everyone who is trying to follow new technologies but it will take some time to get adopted.
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 31, 2017, 09:44:42 AM
I saw an Utrust advertisement on Instagram Story, I was flabbergasted ad I did not expect to see crypto advertisement on Instagram! I think its smart.

Adversiting in Instagram?  Shocked
I hope they cant stop adversiting after ICO  as well Roll Eyes

I think advertisement after ICO is more important. People need to know the use case for it. Finding merchants that accept it will be key, also a good marketing strategy

I am not sure if advertisement after ICO is very necessary, but a good after-sales strategy is important to keep the price of the tokens high. They should keep their social media strategy and announce regular updates

Of course is necessary. When ICO is over it doesnt mean people will stop investing in the project, just look at all commercials on TV, unfortunately if you dont have a god marketing campaign, its hard for you to stay on top there days. Just look at some huge companies like Coca Cola, probably everyone knows it, but they still spend a ton of money for advertisement.
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 ⚡🚀ANN: GATCOIN Blockchain Rewards Program [Presale on 28 October]🌟 ⚡🚀 on: October 30, 2017, 03:52:24 PM
I just want to know if there are any competitor coins in this space for Gatcoin?

Because if there is, then I have to look into their team and see if which coin has a stronger and more solid team and plan and product and merchants in the line.

And if there isn't, then I think this is no-brainer investment. I will invest. This coin is for long hold. Imagine them announcing one partnerships to another, and imagine you hodling and seeing your GATcoins getting higher and higher in the exchanges and you are getting richer and richer by each day. That would be a perfect scenario!

Gatcoin will mainly operate in Japan from what i have been reading so far and they have already set up deals with retailers in there.
So is not very easy to answer you question, the market is quite large and i didn't hear of any other project doing something similar in Japan at least or anywhere else, let alone having already deals with retailers.

Probably if this project will be a success there will be "copy" popping up trying to take some share from the market.

They will start in Japan yes, but they should soon migrate to other countries even outside Asia. I think it wont be a problem since they already have guaranteed partnership with local retailers.
As for crypto competition, there is no one that cold compete with their massive chain of merchants waiting to join their platform.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: October 30, 2017, 03:42:46 PM
If there any news on if they extend the ICO or would do a round 2? And is there any response by initial investors about this?
I think they extend this ico because bitcoin hard fork before, so the team still not satisfied with the result. Investor will respond positive as long as this project can raise more funds

I know the reason behind it, and i can understand the dilemma. But is there any news if they are going to do this or not? Or is it still undetermined?

I don't see any reasons preventing them to do that, other then it might wind up some investors. But that frustration could be avoided by just giving more bonuses for them.

They should announce it before but i dont think that many investors mind. Yes there will be more coins in circulation but on the other hand, Soma will have a bigger initial budget to lunch their platform and invest more in marketing. This can all reflect in bigger value in the future.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 30, 2017, 03:37:21 PM
What are the chances that fees will go up after successful mass adoption? Did you talk about that already or you are not considering it.
Some ICOs already shown that economy is getting better so we can expect a great month.
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 ⚡🚀ANN: GATCOIN Blockchain Rewards Program [Presale on 28 October]🌟 ⚡🚀 on: October 30, 2017, 12:05:06 PM
if they announce more strong partnerships like skplanet, i really dont know where this token will go then Oo" not more moon, i think more of mars then Smiley

Price could reach new horizons with every merchant's adoption of GATCOIN's reward platform.
Well I bought this token with long term investment in my mind , I see this token doing pretty well specially if the roadmap of expanding is executed as described . There is a lot of potential in this project .

As to why the selling is going a little slow , You guys need to put one thing in your mind this project did not depend on hype , In fact they are depending on the good idea and solid project to sell , Which is something we no seeing anymore in most ICOs .

dude, no. this project may be a good idea, but without hype and promotion it isn't gonna go anywhere. marketing is vital.

Yes, marketing is vital, just ask Elastic. Anyway GatCoin is probably affected by the overwhelming number of ICOs and the change in that market.

Unfortunately sometimes marketing is more important than idea itself but that shouldn't be the case. I wouldnt say that selling is going slow, i am actually surprised how well its going considering its only a presale.
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: October 30, 2017, 11:34:50 AM
Soma sounds like a girl name . A  cute office assistant logo would match the name  Grin

Soma, i think its a Japanese name, that I don't know what it means, but definitely is not english or spanish, it is from another language for sure, so in a way it could sound silly for other people, for me though it sounds good, but it doesn't ring the concept of the project, nor the pet animal that represents it, but at last, it doesn't matter.

Could be from an Asian language or just a radom word. I can't imagen an Japanese word, also checked a dictionary and couldn't find something.

Or wait, I just found some internet slang or so in Japanese which says that soma is build out of ソマ = それまじ (sore maji) which means as much as "is it real?". But don't know if this is the origin for Soma.
Hey , enough  Grin.
You guys didnt realize it? SOMA >> SOcial MArketplace
But its also a guess  Grin

I'm pretty sure you've got it right. The project is even called The Social Marketplace. I think the oldest meanings of the word soma are either for some deity or for a drug, so I doubt its based on either of those.

I think social market its really the perfect way to describe this project and what they aare trying to achieve.

This is not merely selling items and getting review about the products like Ebay or Amazon are doing, in here there will be a living
community of people which will help out each other, getting rewarded for it.

Think about all the money Amazon is saving by letting the users write down review suggesting or not a product, one way or the other is helping out just Amazon and the sellers to make more money for free.

You actually got me thinking there, i didnt pay much attention about the social part before but like you said, without that its just another selling platform. It all depends how much are people willing to be involved in selling and buying goods.
