Is there any way to buy shares of ActiveMining right now if you're in the US?  I want some of these cheap shares!

use a proxy to make it look like your IP is coming from somewhere else
1422  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 10, 2013, 03:51:18 PM
Is an alternative to Bitfunder going to happen before the November 1st deadline?
Will shares be able to transferred elsewhere after NOV. 1 if not?

I'm not a citizen of the US but I'd rather not give out all my info to Weexchange...
1423  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 09, 2013, 06:02:31 PM
Does ACTM have any plans to move their mining farm out of the US in the case of something like this happening with mining?

The fact that US citizens are running this company and that our mining farm is located in "The land of the free"-USA scares me a little bit.  Undecided

@girlfawkesy

First problem: how do you avoid a 51% attack?

I think this is where something like colored coins shows it's value - using the strength of the already well established Bitcoin network.

Edit: It might be possible to avoid Blockchain manipulation be keeping the difficulty low, and some how privately mine it in house. But, that's not quite decentralized, is it.

to avoid a 51% attack simply make the coin merge-mined with BTC no?

similar to namecoin, freicoin....then it doesnt matter what the hash rate is or if anyone even mines it at all. It doesnt even have to be sha-256 or scrypt, some form of proof of stake similar to PPC could be implemented

IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME OUT, BECAUSE I CANT FIND AN AVENUE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH BITFUNDER

For some reason bitfunder automatically resets my 2-Factor keys at random. I signed in to my account today and it told me to enable 2 factor. this isnt the first time its happened so I just created a new key and loaded it on my phone. no less than 10 minutes later it had told me to enable 2 factor AGAIN. I did and that worked until just now when I was signed in, bitfunder signed me out automatically and now my 2 factor key has been changed AGAIN and im locked out.

I dont understand how this affects liquidity??
Its not like you have to prove where you live?

"All current BitFunder users who are not United States persons or entities must supply the information required to obtain "Verified" status on their linked WeExchange account before November 1, 2013. Any such users who fail to provide the necessary information will not be able to enter into or sell positions on the BitFunder website as of November 1, 2013."

Yes, you do.

Fair enough...well sucks to live in the USA i guess, im buying more shares now.

There has been no fundamental change in ACTM.

Today is dividend day!

Is there any reason for the dividend to be moved to Wednesday?
I think I remember Ken saying that dividends would return to Wednesday when we got more hashing power

hmmm....fingers crossed!
1429  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: October 01, 2013, 04:45:31 PM

As one of your first 6000 customers I am unhappy with my purchase. I even switched my July contract for September doing the math I cant see how I'm gonna break even... If we started on time I would have 100%. I really hope you guys pull something fancy out of your ass here.
1430  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: September 29, 2013, 07:36:50 AM
In the beginning of September, the paying schedule was "Every 2 weeks".
And FAQ page shows "Every 2 weeks" too.
But cloudhashing's top page shows "GET PAID DAILY!".

Did you change the paying schedule?
If yes, You should revise the description of the FAQ page.

With the mining pool, payouts will now be daily. We are in the process of updating the site as we speak.

This is great to hear!!!

Agreed. Like it or not, this is long term proposition. Months, not days!

agreed, short term theres no telling where this could go though

Some questions that I would love to be answered:

How many sq. ft. does Actm current hold?
How many 24TH rigs are going to be able to put in the space that we own?
Are there plans for expansion of warehouses?

An updated timeline of hashpower deployment would be nice as well
1433  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 17, 2013, 10:50:03 PM
We need to get the word out about the machines, more advertising perhaps
1434  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 16, 2013, 10:54:49 PM
eASIC announcement and price adjustment wasn't made until September, so expect next months report to be fucking spectacular.  Thanks again, PR
1435  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 15, 2013, 06:25:37 PM
Hmmm....someone seems to be mining at bitminter under the name "fast hash" 1.128 TH

could this be test chips or is this just wishful thinking??

Ok, thanks. Decided to try your suggestion, and move the charity address into a separate wallet.dat, but ran into a snag: I discovered the dumpprivkey and importprivkey commands. These will allow me to copy the address into the new wallet. But how do I delete the address (its private key) from my main wallet?

Im not sure if thats possible in bitcoind, which im assuming the client is based off of (I only use cryptsy). With the console function you can dump a list of all the commands so it might be in that list

ps... Block halving party anyone??? 160K blocks and counting!
1437  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 12, 2013, 09:02:47 PM
most of this drama will never happen, if Actm started to do regular fin. reporting (once a month)

We are working hard on doing that.  We have our Manufacturing computer up and running and inputting all the transactions at the same time we are working on sales, building prototypes, working with our engineers, setting up the warehouse, etc.

Yes, I have a board member working on hiring a PR guy.

Glad to hear that.

And personally, I'm very happy you own ActM shares, I think this is a guarantee for everyone that you believe in a good profit for shareholders.

Seeing that he was buying even at .005 is very bullish. I had become skeptical in the past few days but now my confidence is restored in this company

Thanks Ken!
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Pools up - Quick confirmations on: September 12, 2013, 08:57:19 PM
That could work, but in my case, I am solo-mining to that wallet, use it to transfer funds to and from Cryptsy, as well as (now) having this charity drive with no definite end date.

Create a different address and Label it...then export the private key of each address to a separate wallet when need be. Its also possible to check the balance of each individual address inside the wallet at anytime
1439  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 12, 2013, 08:38:58 PM

As a matter of fact, I have purchase a number of shares on the open market.  I am also purchasing shares how for my own account.  We will be releasing P&L for this quarter by the end of October

How do you interpret the above? He was buying on the company dime and is now buying on his own?

TMAN you arent here to support Activemining, you are a Labcoin fan trying to spread FUD. I am 100% ok with the CEO buying shares of the company and I would be surprised if he wasnt.

Its not illegal, and doesnt bother me one bit. If it bothers you then invest in the stock market where there are rules and you can whine all you want.

This is the bitcoin wild west, I think we all know what were getting into
1440  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 12, 2013, 06:02:41 PM
Is the reason Ken feels no obligation to produce any numbers, is because of the wording of part of the contract.....

"The global ActiveMining's income, including mining income, hardware sales via bitcoins, other cryptocoins and fiat transferred to bitcoins, will be paid to ActiveMining shareholders proportionally, after all manufacturing, maintenance, labor costs, R&D, growth and miscellaneous expenses are deducted."

Can the board/Ken confirm or deny, that any hardware sales paid in fiat, is NOT going to be paid as dividends?

Are you joking? So Ken has a loophole that allows him to pocket profits via a word in the document?

Ken this is so low, now you sound like a lawyer.

I have the feeling this asset is over.

yea this needs to be clarified
