1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you buy National Lottery tickets with Bitcoin in your country? on: May 02, 2019, 04:17:14 AM
I am just curious to know if you can buy lottery tickets for your own national lottery in your country. I am not referring to all these scam gambling sites with supposed "Provably Fair" lottery systems.

I bought some lottery tickets online and I was only presented with the old traditional payment options and I figured it is time for us to approach these Lottery operators, to ask for a Bitcoin payment option.  Wink

If enough people ask for this, they just might consider giving us that option to pay with bitcoins.  Grin  What payment options do you have for online lottery in your country?

Here in Canada we got the OLG

1. They should be showing proof of fairness with blockchain tech "Cryptography". I mean it is pretty easy for them to rig it this would stop them.
2. They should be accepting bitcoin, It makes it easier if you won to prove who won, what if someone steals your ticket? or you lose it?

1422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The easiest way to explain blockchain to someone who has no clue what it is on: May 02, 2019, 04:05:55 AM
I know there is more to it than that, I mean this is for complete noobs and I got 10 seconds to explain.

These are the best thing I got so far Wall of Fame:

Qwk: "a peer to peer network serialization of linearly dependent data sets".
(I have to reword this one better for new people)

Crypto Girl:  "blockchain - consist of blocks in a chain. Just imagine we have a lot of square ( blocks ) and the information is stored in a block and will broadcast throughout the network."
(maybe blockchain consist of data that is linked, imagine we have 10 people reading a blank book in a room as the author fills in the words simultaneously and in each book the words appear at the same time, everyone is the author and all must agree to one story or at least 51% have to agree to each next word)

or my own that I was told was wrong by the guy that suggested the one up top, and I have to agree with him but I need a way to make that sound normal to normal people I might as well tell them
it is the time continuum transfuctioner or something lol.

It is a digital form of Double Entry Bookkeeping, deposits and withdraws with remaining balance on paper.
Luca Pacioli created it in 1494 and Satoshi Nakamoto digitized it on Jan 3rd 2009
That is just plain wrong.
Bitcoin is not a "digitized form of double bookkeeping*".

Double bookkeeping is by its very definition a centralized process (someone keeps the book, the double doesn't refer to that someone being e.g. two people).
Also, in Bitcoin, there is actually no "double" bookkeeping taking place.
"Double" bookkeeping refers mainly to the tallying up of accounts, which is something that does not happen in Bitcoin.

* weird, never noticed before that there's an English word with "ookkee" in it Wink

I: It is a digital form of Double Entry Bookkeeping, deposits and withdraws with remaining balance on paper.
Luca Pacioli created it in 1494 and Satoshi Nakamoto digitized it on Jan 3rd 2009, now everyone owns a copy of the book that gets updated anytime someone does a transaction.
It is a system in which a record of transactions made in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency are maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Video Commercial promoting Bitcoin was just released today!! on: May 02, 2019, 03:39:09 AM
Just throwing it out there, I like bitcoin more than gold, because I know who owns most of the gold.

but when shit hits the fan, people will be trading gold again not bitcoin. I am sorry to say as much as I want bitcoin to replace fiat and gold, it won`t. I am one of the few people who sees 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin and could careless what fiat is doing.

I want you to take a look into huntercoin (don`t buy anything) just watch the video. This is what happens with gold and bitcoin in the future.

Why do younger generations not get a chance to mine?
When we start 100m dash in the Olympics or any sport, do we have people just because they showed up early start the race? or do we wait for all parties to get equal footing and start at a set time.

inb4 this exchange gets hacked.

Some people who have their eyes open walk around a pole willingly.
Other people who are ignorant with their eyes closed are forced to walk around their pole.

well I keep my hat prosperous with a shade of white

Who goes first in chess?
There is a reason Total Awareness(white, light) came before Total Oblivion(black, darkness)

in order for dark to exist, light had to of created it.

Blockchain vs Bankers

The first-move advantage in chess is the inherent advantage of the player (White) who makes the first move in chess. Chess players and theorists generally agree that White begins the game with some advantage. Since 1851, compiled statistics support this view; White consistently wins slightly more often than Black, usually scoring between 52 and 56 percent. White's winning percentage is about the same for tournament games between humans and games between computers.

please note: I am not talking about anyone skins pigment my best friend and only friend I have is black. I have known him since preschool. This is not meant to be racist in anyway.

‘Bitcoin Is Not Money’ Because We Cannot Print It – Banks

Quote
“Bitcoin is not money”, the European Central Bank published a statement regarding bitcoin as not being a monetary asset. These words from the bank are immensely harsh for the crypto community. The crypto analyst and investor, Joseph Young suggests that the bank has released the statement as per the crypto assets being unprintable. Though this is an absurd manner to qualify a monetary asset as ‘money’, the bank does praise the technology in the working behind bitcoin. The technology, being the entire crypto protocols, most specifically, decentralization is breakthrough and can make up for some decent projects in the future.

https://blockpublisher.com/bitcoin-is-not-money-because-we-cannot-print-it-banks/

And yet another other attack, but seriously flaw argument coming from banks. But that's fine, hearing this kind of arguments make me think that they are really threaten by crypto and afraid that one day all of them will become obsolete, or least majority of people will go to crypto, specially bitcoin.

I mean you can physically print bitcoins if you wanted onto paper, it would just be the QR code on a piece of paper with the amount of the bitcoin the QR code holds and represents. Why waste the plastic (like the cdn dollar) or paper... we live in the digital age digital gangsters keep it digital. I mean it would help in the future if the main power grid went out or something.

1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you own Bitcoin and use Outlook to access your exchange accounts, read this.. on: May 02, 2019, 02:45:51 AM
In this article a guy claims that he lost $25k after hackers stole his accounts. Either this guy is retarded or it is just bullshit because he gave no evidence and with such amount of funds most exchanges would require to pass KYC. Also most exchanges won't reset your password only with an e-mail so this story sound even more ridiculous and not realistic.

I mean I had a fake id when I was 12 that worked anywhere and everywhere, chances are if the hacker could get into their email, they would have that persons I.D because they had to email the exchange it, so it would be in their email anyways or on their stolen phone.
1429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? A New Journey and Candidate [Great Read for All] on: May 02, 2019, 02:03:09 AM
You surely worked very hard finding him still can't say anything without proper verification but if this thing is real yes you will be the first to find out him. but still, his intentions are not clear like why did he left the project and did something happens to him? btw you said you can explain his leaving cause, care to tell us?

Satoshi himself alludes to the fact that he had been working on Bitcoin since 2007 (slide 9). If you visit his profile on this forum and read all his posts and check his code comits, you will see active commentary on lots to do and active ideas for development. There was no suggestion of slowing down or quitting the project.

It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context.  WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us.

I think that is a suggestion of slowing down or leaving the project or at least becoming anon.

Well guess what Satoshi I am here punching that hornets nest in the face, I am still here and even if they kill me, your blockchain has taught me a lot about the after life and my current life (I know I cannot hide anything). My father had a heart attack and my aunt just died of cancer, she went to the other side for 12 hours and my father for 3 before they were brought back to life. They both have the same story not knowing each others story. You will remember everything. The Creator has a very stern male voice, weird coming from my Aunt she was a girl power type. anyways though both said they remember every life they had every single last breath they took, but the Creator told them they were not finished here. A week later she died again for good. My father still is here I guess he has not fulfilled his purpose.

1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi came out with bitcoin2.0 would you use it? let`s say he used his keys on: May 02, 2019, 01:49:09 AM
I just had the sickest idea how to tie bitcoin"core" into bitcoin2.0 so both would be useful. Hey Satoshi hit me up if you want to save the world from us humans. I think the miners would love this and the investors also the average Joe using it. It would only make both the values go up and stop poverty world wide.
1431  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Just had account hacked. Please help :S. on: May 02, 2019, 01:22:28 AM
Since it likely doesn't matter anyway here is the bitcoin address the funds were moved to.

32cDFtEeUsCX9eYPWh56PoX26L47ySz8SH

Looks like the funds are on the move. Along with what is likely other ill begotten gains.

The IP addresses that were used are:
100.43.112.216 - which appears to be in south korea
104.158.11.46 - which appears to be in ontario, canada.

If the attacker is reading this:

Well played sir. I respect your skills even if I despise your ethics. I hope the money you earn is worth the corruption of your character.

The hacker is probably using a virtual private network to mask his location. I don't know how does he gain access to your e-mail address and hacked your account but the best thing you can do right now is to be vigilant because there are a lot of malware and phishing sites that are sprouting everywhere and its main target are Crypto Currency users like us.

Did not have 2FA, Fucked up Sad. Attacker gained access to email and reset my exchange password. Pretty sure that makes me screwed.

I got caught the same way brother, except they used a phishing link it was a page clone like a google webpage login, no 2fa,  then they stole my coins from exchanges then pretended to be me to my dad and stole my dads coins. Just be aware that life is a blockchain and when they die, everyone on the network will see their actions.

They not only cost me and my dad all of our btc we have been saving, they pitted my own father against me, he thought it was me for the longest time.

I despise their skills and ethics, if the had skills they would of told the person they were vulnerable and helped them out.

skill

Sure a welcoming new and congratulations to Canada. I guess this helps to conclude that Canada is indeed more according than most countries in the West.

I mean we just had to give up 12 million to a private company, that no one wanted, because we vote people to vote for us, instead of voting ourselves.

Yes, I am all about energy efficiency, but not giving a private company my money!  WHERE IS MY FREEZER?
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Couple Uses Bitcoin Wealth to Build World’s First Seastead on: May 02, 2019, 01:03:45 AM
That's very interesting, but we can state they still have to go to shore to get some real food...
Without that they cant be possible living in that place for long time without leaving and getting some supplies from the "outside".
Im glad for them and everyone else who thinks that way into using Crypto / bitcoin's to build their future.

If they had more resources they would not need to go to land for real food. They could grow it on there island. They could grow their supplies on the floating greenhouse (I mean boat)   Grin
They have land on their "big boat"

What backs my money? my work, farming, making produce, (time)
Then you will briefly understand that  you won't be able to sell your stuff for your own coin for a good price. That's an example from real life: countries are taking benefits from cheap currencies, it boosts their export. So as soon as the exchange rate of your shitcoin grows no one would buy your stuff.

What backs the governments money, that can be printed out in unlimited?    Wink
For example US dollar is backed by the obligation of the US government to collect trillions of dollars as taxes.

And what backs the taxes, OUR WORK.

btw I forgot to post this at the start of the topic, some of the moderators on this site keep removing my post, and I have to remake a half assed one everyday and forget to put information needed in them for people to understand.

If Satoshi came out with Bitcoin2.0 would you use it over Bitcoin current client, if he advised you to and let you exchange your current btc into it? let`s say he used his keys to 100% prove it is the real person or team.
signed on the forum and signed with 2-3 of the starting wallets and genesis address  1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa
Even if someone is able to sign in with the genesis address and asked to convert the coins to their upcoming new coin and promises a better technology, no one in the right sense will do that as the market has grown to a point that it cannot be replaced in a short period of time, if it was the early days with a few users then there would be a possibility but not anymore.  Wink

This experiment was never about Satoshi Nakamoto, but rather the technology that was supposed to "replace" or "disrupt" the corrupt Banking system. Now Banks have started to use Satoshi's code against him, by creating their own "Blockchain" based coins.
What if Satoshi comes out and patents and copyrights his creation and ask for royalty from everyone who use them, then there will be a massive disruption  Cheesy Tongue.

That is how you do copyright, with blockchain tech, You know what they used to do and still do, you go for a patent with your idea on paper and behind closed doors they clone their paper date to earlier date than yours and steal your patent anyways, with blockchain this cannot happen.

But yah If I were him I would be going after bitcoin.com Because they are using his trade mark, I know other developers here who are getting attacked by the banks just for having part of their name in it, and were in the cyrpto space 4 years even before the government or banks knew what it was, that is the full name www.bitcoin.com right there and they are walking away scot-free. derailing the btc project.  Anyways don`t get fooled www.bitcoin.org is the real one.

Bitpatent if anyone wants to make it, do it up!

I mean if my government sees bitcoin as a currency (they make us claim it here in Canada as income and tax it)
They need to accept it for us to pay with taxes with.

I have a dream to create a online karaoke platform that allows users to earn token for doing song arrangement or becoming song composer for other users to sing in the platform. I think everyone love to sing from their home and make friend in the platform, especially for workers who do a stressful job. Does it sound good?

lol sure actually that sounds pretty fun, what about what I proposed does that sound good?
