I don't trust it even though the link is coming up clean... for now.

fyi.. It sometimes takes a few days before Virus Total's scanners find something.

New cgminer 3.7.7b settings 4 U.

280x @stock 1020/1500 Hynix - 138-143 khash - catalyst 14.9 w/ 14.7-rc3 openCL files copied to cgminer's folder

-g 3, -w 64, -i 14  ..  HW and artifact free for 20 minutes now ! Grin

update

1 HW  Cry

update ii

cgminer will randomly set the thread concurrency on almost every startup. eg. it chooses 4096 or 8192 or 16384.

I will soon know if the HW error was caused by the 4096 bin in use at the time. Currently running a 16384 bin..

Okay, done. I'm pretty sure it works, but haven't tested on a Windows installation. This is a zip of my kernel, slighly modified for SGMiner, as well as all the other kernels included on the github's develop branch, and a Win64 binary. Static compile, no DLLs, just like my standard SGMiner builds on Litecointalk. Also GPG signed, like my standard builds. Someone please test for me and ensure it works.

https://ottrbutt.com/sgminer/neoscrypt/sgminer5-neoscrypt-11-02-2014.zip
And of course, GPG sigs for those that check them (you should be): https://ottrbutt.com/sgminer/neoscrypt/sgminer5-neoscrypt-11-02-2014.zip.sig

What does your command line look like ? lol

I'm keeping it simple but not getting anywhere..

start.bat
Code:
sgminer.exe --algorithm neoscrypt -g 2 -w 64

That's a good start - I don't think you need to set TC, but you can. You need to set a pool, intensity, user/pass for pool, and GPU threads, I think.

EDIT: And worksize.

I know how to solo/pool mine. lol I posted that command line hoping someone would confirm that my flags were set properly. eg. the pool info was purposely left out

Has solo mining been disabled ?

Are there any hidden fees/ donations ?

And.. Windohs Aero is enabled ! Grin

Is that Wolf0's version and is -g 1 being used ?

yeah maybe should disable it :b
-g 2 is being used.

Noo lol.. leave it on so we can see how noob friendly it is. I'm running artifact free thus far.. Smiley

No luck with -g 2 but, I did manage to gain another 10 khash by upping the worksize to 48 and by copying the 14.7-rc3 openCL files to the 3.7.7b folder (while still running 14.9).

-g 1 -w 48

How many more Cryptorush/Mintpals ect., do we need to see before we stop blindly trusting these new exchanges ?

until we have the will and resource to build our own exchanges... or better yet how about integrated exchange within the wallet? For now we have to be happy with what we have Smiley

Is it feasable to simply give the customer the private key for their addy(s) ?

From what I know.. it is.. Wink

Okay!  Thanks Wolf0, we are now cooking with gas, smokin' etc etc.  7950 is getting a solid 125-130 with no rejects, work units  115/m or so.  Can't tell me that a little brute force doesn't help, we're running at 1200/1500.  Oh, worksize 48 and 1 thread, I-12.  And a wups!  Guess 1200 was pushing it, getting 123 at 1150, I'll live.

Has anyone had any luck with getting 6000 series cards working?  My 6850 still craps out.

Got just over 200kh/s on my 7950, over 90kh/s for 270X, 280X does 220kh/s, and 290X about 245kh/s. Here's a (nsfw) screenshot with the miner, settings, clocks, and card types: https://ottrbutt.com/miner/neoscryptwolf-11022014.png

Has anyone been able to replicate your results ?

Number6 and Atomicat's speeds are the same as what I'm seeing with 3.7.7b.

And whats with the nsfw ? It seems like you're trying to lure people to your site by any means possible.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin 0.8.7.0 Released - The NeoScrypt Update - Hardfork block 432,000 on: November 02, 2014, 12:52:17 AM
What kind of hash is everyone pulling? Here's some of my baseline results so far on standard +~10% OC

13.12 catalyst drivers:
r9 280x - Ubuntu 14.04: 53kh
r9 280x - Windows 7.1: 48kh
r9 270x - Windows 7.1: ~28kh

nvidia 240 drivers:
gf 660ti - Windows 7.1: 22kh

Edit: Lower the worksize, it seems to help a large amount, 16-32 seems to be right
r9 280x - Ubuntu 14.04: 78kh
r9 280x - Windows 7.1: 76kh
r9 270x - Windows 7.1: 41kh
gf 660ti - Windows 7.1: 26kh worksize 16 can't go lower =[

My 660ti reports only ~80% "power consumption" at OC so it runs pretty cool and is proportionate in hash to the other cards (the way it looks like it should be anyhow).  i.e. in x11 it would read like ~105%.

13.12 drivers (used 13.12 to generate the bin as well): 107kh/s on 7950 @ 1000/1250 with some kernel edits.
IIRC, my 280X on 14.9 (used 14.9 to generate bin, too) did somewhere around 160kh/s @ 1140/1500.

Oops, was wrong about the 280X. On 14.9, I have a 290X and a 280X, 290X does 200kh/s at stock clocks, 280X does around 175kh/s.

Odd, does it say why? I host compiled miners, that could be it.

EDIT: Oh, nvm - two shitty little pieces of software have blacklisted it, no biggie.

Anyhoo..

My 280x/hynix is pulling 128 khash with cgminer 3.3.7b and the following settings :
gpu/mem - 1120/1500, win7 x64 cat 14.9 w/ sdk, -I 13, -w 32, -g 2

Screenie shows the 280x and 7870 at stock, same settings except -g 1 was used.
http://img.techpowerup.org/141101/NEOnoob2.jpg

where u got that cgminer 3.3.7b from i have 3.7.7 cant find cgminer 3.3.7b?...

Check the OP. Tongue

https://www.feathercoin.com/dl/cgminer-3.7.7b.neoscrypt.zip

@all

I was wrong when I said that -g 2 was used to achieve 121 khash. It was actually -g 1.

edit

And only 1 HW that likely happened while oc'd to 1120. I'm now at stock 1020 on the core.

CANN CfJ3NK87PAjErUKBjwLdLSZwgdizefcjBX = CANNA CfJ3NK87PAjErUKBjwLdLSZwgdizefcjBX

soo...the DEV CANN is the DEV CANNA to..??

Whether it be by accident ..or not.. you have created a cold/offline wallet.

Use vanitygen or pay someone to bruteforce the addy. This will reveal the private key.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 42 | + super rare | + only 42 coins to be mined | + Update b4 Block 55,000 on: October 31, 2014, 03:53:08 AM
Nooo THANK YOU funkenstein. Smiley

Oh they, the insiders and shills, knew about it alright. lol As you can see, it only took Hendo/maco/soopy 3 hours to post the update/fix.

Does anybody care about this coin?  I guess not.  It might need a forking just for fun if devs don't speak up eh?

If anybody cares, here is the only description I found of the so-called "fix"..  choosing option 2 in my post and therefore giving up the oportunity for a bit of fun and transition with a slowly reducing supply and longer time with coinbase reward.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=444775.msg4907160#msg4907160

First of all..

"990382 = LAST BLOCK in the history of 42 to ever be mined."   uh..  ok..  so no more transations ever?  All coins worthless then?  Nice idea.
Well lets assume that he meant the last block with coinbase reward larger than fees.

Second of all..

git clone https://github.com/fourtytwo42/42.git
cd 42
cd src
grep "990382" *.*

Nice hardcoding!

Something tells me this has all been said before...

Based on my basic understanding of hardforks... hardForkTW ! Cheesy

Jokes aside.. lets just say "fuck it !" and do a relaunch. (recommended) Grin

1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **PUBLIC ALERT** Change with process of "mining" BTC or it WILL fail. on: October 30, 2014, 06:02:43 AM
I say we start trusting those who have a reputation of doing what they say. I am willing to trust you a lot more than KNC, but trust is liquid and changes with circumstance. That is why we need a decentralized reputation keeper. I will run a node at a cost to me. Will you?

The thing about trust is that you can build it until you've reached your goal. See pirateat40. He did what he said until he didn't. History is littered with examples. I just chose one that might hit closer to home for some here.

The thing about trust is that trade requires it. There is no such thing as trust less transactions. It is all a matter of who to trust.  Right now bitcoiners trust who ever has the best mining hardware.. That system sucks dick. I am saying why not trust the individuals with the greatest trustworthiness instead, but that is against holliday's religion

Government issued mining hardware, everyone must own one and get it replaced every year or as needed?

Tax is the power it uses.

sHitler gave the Austrians radios.

oBomBa gave the Yanks cell phones.

Do you see where this is going ?

That wouldn't be the same, it is more like requiring everyone to obtain an ID card, everyone needs to obtain free mining hardware (replaced and updated as needed) they simply plug into a wall to help support stability and trust in the system.

What you are implying is EXACTLY the same. Sorry to burst your $1000 BTC bubble but, the world will not accept /adopt cryptos unless it is forced upon them.

The bankster warpigs flattened Libya so as to set an example of what would happen, to the other countries involved, if they did not abandon gold backed African Dinar. What will they do to your precious computer data.. I mean crypto currency.. if someone ever decides to back it with anything but computer data/ the blockchain ?

A gentleman's bet says you haven't the faintest clue as to why the parasite banksters biggest fear is a gold/silver/barter based economy.

HINTs:
Both paper and data are easily burnt (pun intended) and/or manipulated.
