1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still use Bitcoin if it stabilised at around USD$5000? on: October 15, 2017, 09:11:01 AM
If this was to happen, then we have created a very stable Bitcoin. The problem is, of course, that this can never happen.

The heck, it already happened, and surpass the $5k predictions.

Quote

But to answer your question: In short, no I would not use Bitcoin. The main reason I use Bitcoin at the moment is for trading and investing. If the price becomes stable then, I don't see a point in me using Bitcoin.

Oh dear, how on earth you don't use bitcoin but doing trade and investments to it. your statements contradicts itself. a sh*t post?

expect a FUD's in coming days, as the segwit2x is coming nearer.

HEllo))  i am  new in this theme  and wnt to sk you with what i  have start?
My  budget is 7-8k $.  Where i  can  find good equipment to start?
Pls i know that here is many  topics like this but they  sometime old.
Want to speak here with someone who is more then avg in this question.
 Wink Wink Wink
Thank you for your answers

I will just presume that you are a technical inclined person that at least know what are hashrates are, your budget is fine and could already start different type of mining algo's, If I were you, Identify or know what do you have right now and considerations.

examples are:

- Mining equipment locations, I guess you don't want to hear a Full speed Vacuum cleaner roaring 24/7 beside you or your bedroom. Proper ventilations as miners produce heat and need to drive it out. consider also your neighborhoods distance.

- Electrical capacity, It if overlooks you may catch fire while mining, ensure all wires and breakers have enough current/voltage that could handle

- Technical expertise, this can be a bit challenging as a miners life will surely face technical problems along the way, you may not want to be disrupted operating your miners and provide or ensure a 100% uptime.

1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bright stars on: October 15, 2017, 07:50:53 AM
Recently, Bitcoin broke through $ 5,800, setting a record high in recent years, and Bitcoin became the biggest concern of the currency sector

Not actually the biggest, they're just putting attention to it and possible integration on their systems.

It is said that some people mortgage their own house loans have hoarding Bitcoin, we can see how much the impact of bit coins on people's investment behavior, its value should not be overlooked
It is estimated that the future will be a bit as the core to open a coin investment era.

I only knew one as previously reported, A risk taker person who sells everything for bitcoin investment, and you can't rely on that references.
1424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin unstoppable now on: October 15, 2017, 07:35:49 AM
Passing the $6k level won't be possible before a correction that would be happening after fork. There definitely would be a correction as always expected after ATH. I believe Bitcoin will go below $5k and somewhere between $4500-$5000 before rallying back to $6000. I think the selling activity that will bring a drop would be extensively happening after fork.

Expect the Dips, it always happens, it will depend primarily on the possible resolution outcome on the forks, adding some Fuds and creating Ruckus then all flavors and recipe's are now complete. Lets start preparing for a new buy I guess.
1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon: “I’m Not Going to Talk About Bitcoin Anymore” on: October 15, 2017, 06:30:49 AM
Looks like Jamie and Bitcoin are inseparable. People just can't stop asking Jamie about Bitcoin, and he just can't stop ranting about it. He broke his silence after just one day. Cheesy

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-10-13/jamie-dimon-lasts-one-day-on-his-vow-to-not-talk-about-bitcoin
That's what likely to be happen when someone is making a FUD. Now, he might be beating the odds of those people around him. Look what people made of what did he do and also for those Whales i guess he can't do anything about them.

He made a statement that it could trade for $100,000 before it trades for zero. The first part of the statement is going to become true. Even then I think he will rail against Bitcoin.

If it reaches $100k and bitcoin investors gains a huge profit from it, then you can't call them stupid. It is more than stupidity to compare Bitcoin and blockchain technology to Tulips, Tulips can't transfer funds anywhere. or rather has the capability to halving when supplies has already reach its maximum supplies. guess who is stupid.
1426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've just been hacked!! :-( on: October 15, 2017, 03:58:56 AM
is there any one who can tell us how this can be happen ??
and how can we defend it ?

Avoid online wallet as possible, if not, choose a decent and trusted online wallet with superb support capabilities and activate multiple security such as 2Fa, protect your PC's or other devices connecting to your wallets such as virus protection, browsing sites with vulnerabilities, opening unwanted mails, downloading or installing cracked software and such, in order to prevent malwares and virus infection.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on ethermine average vs reported hashrate on: October 15, 2017, 01:38:55 AM
Hi,

I have 3 miners on ethermine, my reported hashrate is 555 mh/s.

My average hashrate is around 525 mh/s. It'S like having a card that does not bring me anything.

If I compare to zcash on flypool, my average almost equal my reported hashrate...

Is this normal for ethereum?

NB: I just switched a miner on dwarfpool to see if I have the same result... I will let you know.

Your reported hashrate varies from time to time, you can check this on the graph representations, the average hashrate is computed from lowest to highest results from your miner, this is the same to all algo's not just in ETH.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Asus z270f Strix Can't see more then 2 gpu's (was 4, then 3 now 2) on: October 14, 2017, 10:44:47 PM
Thanks for that, i'll give it a crack =) anyother things to watch out for?
Your connection between psu and Gpu, you may also check this out, ensure that it is properly powered up. did you check each pci-e by putting second card for all pci-e slot one by one.

i tried that video for the ASUS Prime A/AR setup and tried Gen 2 with no avail. Why would turning 4g Encoding on after the cards show up help (trying to understand)?

Sorry but I don't get what you mean, are the cards shows up after setting up into gen2? Try to set this in gen 1.

Good luck

How do you know that this "upgrade" is essential? How do you gauge whether it's really an upgrade, or if it will actually degrade the network? If it ends up significantly splitting the network, I don't see how it could possibly be an upgrade.
That is my question. I know that there are scaling problems on bitcoin, and maybe one day some coin would overtake btc like how Myspace got overran by Facebook. Innovation is inevitable. I have doubts on what chain should I support and what I see the community has divided opinions on this.

What I see is that segwit2x has a political agenda into it, what I worried about is that they are still keeping mum on the opposing devs. Seems a devil tactic waiting for a bomb explosion.

Quote
Don't you see the disconnect in your logic here? You can't support only the original Bitcoin but also support Segwit2x. Bitcoin Gold and Segwit2x have a lot more in common than Bitcoin has with either of them.

Could you please further explain this? I don't have a lot of knowledge on the blockchain technology but an overview would be appreciated.

have read with this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2236682.0
1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being regulated in a country. on: October 13, 2017, 04:16:37 PM
regulating something has nothing to do with it being centralized or decentralized. you are still living in a country under the rules of that country and you are using the local currency of that country to buy bitcoin. and you use that bitcoin to buy stuff from shops that are working under the laws of that country.
that is what regulation means.
for example some countries see bitcoin as an asset and say when you buy it and hold it, you have to pay capital gains (i think it is called) taxes.
or some other places say when you open a business with bitcoin you have to get a license first. just like when you open a business with fiat.

Every country has its own style and type of regulatory laws, other countries tend to regulate a certain things could mean a limited amount or transactions being processed in order to prevent money laundering and terrorist funding activity. what they can only regulate are the bitcoin exchanges and banks where bitcoins are being traded or converted to local fiats, but not the entire bitcoin system.

1431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need help about Bitcoin on: October 13, 2017, 04:05:20 PM
BTC is a little above $5,000 now. Can I still buy it? Is there any chance that it would rise further before the end of the year?

A question that everybody is yearning to know, it has been always observed that when bitcoin make an all time price high a certain question help like this always evolve. If you really want the definite answer, you should discover and learn this for yourself by observing trends and histories or actual trading experiences, and you can't just rely on others opinion.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need pro consults on: October 13, 2017, 03:49:04 PM
hey guys,

i used to mine doge when it was first introduced log before, but was not around in last few years.

wanted to come bk to crypto world with mining small

have 2 pc with GeForce GTX 970 and i7 4770k

can anybody guide me if it worth using these 2 for mining ?

According to nicehash calculator,Estimate is that you can earn about 2$/day or 60$ month for the two GPU and roughly 8$ on your CPU with their pool.

Quote
and if worth which altcoins can be profitable?

thank u

It will always depend on your electricity rate, if you have less than 0.2$ per kwatt rate then it is probably profitable since you are not paying for your hardware.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 12, 2017, 04:09:21 PM
Yes very risk, you should save some your money to the other things. Better for bitcoin is for long term investment.

Exactly because if we convert all our assets to bitcoin and in future we need money for some reason and bitcoin is down at the same time then we will haveto face a loss because we have to exchange bitcoin at that time. So better is invest some percent of your savings.
it's just the matter how dare are you taking risk, we have seen a lot of stories about how someone take big move by sell almost everything include their house for the sake of long term investment and while waiting the price increase they are travelling around the world. and when they back from travelling they can see how their investment work. live is about taking risk isn't it? so , it's up to you! indeed risky but it's worth!

That's a person with full flavors in life, Others may call him an insane/pathetic/crazy person, but for him living without risk is a boring life, I guess he is now witnessing the evident of what risks he takes, bitcoin is continuously gaining price increase.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining zclassic whit nvidia video card on: October 11, 2017, 03:18:14 PM
Guys I need help about mining zclassic in supernova pool. I dont know what miner to use to mine zclassic. I somehow set up miner for zcash but I want to mine zclassic. I installed EWBF miner for zcash. But what I need to do so I can mine zclassic?!

You just need to point to the Zclassic pool and use a Zclassic wallet for your worker ID just as you would for Zcash. They both use the Equihash algorithm, so any miner capable of mining Zcash can also mine Zclassic. If you use Claymore's Zcash miner you may also need to add -allpools 1 to the bat file. For the Suprnova pool, use:  stratum+tcp://zcl.suprnova.cc:4042
This is my setting that I set up for my miner : http://prntscr.com/gw0wdz
Now I cant even start miner, I know that I did something wrong but what I dont know Sad

Can you state what type are your GPU's? as showed above, EWBF is for Cuda devices only if you're using AMD use other miner like Claymore or Optiminer.

if you are Using NVIDIA or Cuda Cards, try this in your bat file to the EWBF miner. this is for unregistered users

miner --server zcl.suprnova.cc --user YOURWALLETADDRESS --pass x --port 4043
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin has enemy (except altcoin) what is it? on: October 11, 2017, 02:44:18 PM
The people who want to Control Bitcoin, As we all see how powerful bitcoin at present, banks and financial business already considering its technology to be adapt on their businesses, No one owns bitcoin that's the nature of it a decentralized, however if someone or somebody successfully controls this then its not the real Bitcoin that I knew its his enemy.

1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: October 11, 2017, 02:29:20 PM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

I don't think parity is possible, meaning that, it's just impossible that both coins have the same price.

So judging from this premise, one of the two coins, will go down, or one of the two coins, will go up while the other one stays where it is at best, or goes down too.

If I had to bet, it's pretty obvious BTC is the winning coin. It has the Core devs on board, it's the legacy chain,

The problem is, Who is the real coin? who are Core devs you're referring to Garzik?

Quote
and it has segwit which is good, unless you subscribe to the anti-segwit conspiracy theories.

As far as I know after the segwit the new coin will have different software for running nodes and not bitcoin core who has contributed a lot in bitcoin developments, thought they can support it if they want to, Oh by the way, Aren't the Segwit2x supporters did a Backroom deal for a Invite only meeting at the hotel in Newyork?

I am still hoping everyone will come up with a good solutions on the issues for both sides, that the segwit2x will maintain bitcoin as it is a decentralized bitcoin with much faster confirmation and low transaction fees.
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: October 09, 2017, 03:52:59 PM
Winds are changing, Bitcoin is now popular to almost all technically inclined people I knew, bitcoin price seems to be very attractive nowadays, other company's are also now engaging with blockchain technologies so I guess its popularity is now evident.
1438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin development direction. on: October 09, 2017, 03:43:33 PM
Many people already contribute to bitcoin development, especially the programmer/developer team who do much from idea, implantation and testing. The only problem that community have different opinion on how bitcoin should be upgraded/scaled.
If we never have drama, we already enjoy SegWit, higher blocksize, more bitcoin users and higher bitcoin price by now.

I guess, that's what it takes to be a decentralize technology, each and everyone should be involved and should be who decide, not a single or few huge sharks and wolves, I am expecting two scenarios, a coin with high blocks and fast confirmations that is a centralized, or a decentralized present coin, but I hope these two could still come up with the solution that could meet both objectives.
1439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you expect a crash soon ? Or you see bitcoin keep climbing ? on: October 09, 2017, 03:32:34 PM
bitcoin Crash? it always happen, and it always climbing after dips, the real question is how far can go to dips and how much will it gain strength upwards that is always depend on the bitcoin users usage and the users bitcoin Trust.
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx 470 won't mine!!!! on: October 09, 2017, 03:34:59 AM
I've got a rx470 and it been mining pritty good for the past months and when I start to mine it goes to a black screen  and the monitor just says no signal. I have to reboot to turn it back on. Been to event viewer and details are event id:41 kernel power. Oh yea I'm using the latest claymore cryptonite miner and using the latest amd drivers if that any help

From the error code you got seems windows system restarted or encountered BSOD, you may check on the claymore miner logs if you see something strange while mining, it might be that your card has become unstable while mining that forces the system to restart.
