Sorry for not putting in first post, would prefer to do one big sale with all at once, will wait a day or two and see if one buyer wants all.
14367  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 8x Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X’s on: April 17, 2014, 11:42:40 PM
I am selling 8 Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X’s.  Providing pictures to prove I have these in hand.  7 of the cards the revision 2 (Windforce) edition, 1 is a first revision with black box. The 7 Windforce editions sell currently at $350 at newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125490.  All of the cards work great and are in great condition.

Looking for $230 for each card.  You pay the equivalent in Bitcoin using Coinbase or Bitstamp to find current exchange rate.  Willing to negotiate if you buy multiple.

You pay for shipping and get to pick shipping.  You can send me a label to put on a box or send the price of postage in addition to purchase price.

Links to pictures with with my user name to prove I have them in hand:

Ordered one today.  Looking forward to mining away with it.
14369  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What company to buy a miner from? on: April 16, 2014, 01:31:14 AM
I was planning on purchasing an X-3 because it's only 1000 watts for 2TH.
It seems though I may be better off buying a TerraMiner IV for the same 2TH but at 2100 watts.

Any thoughts?
Not concerned about power costs.  I am more concerned about my limited power capacity and heat.  I already have 2 ant miners.

Black Arrow do not have a working miner yet... or maybe ever.  This is a very poorly informed decision that you are almost guaranteed to regret.

I haven't ordered anything yet.  From what I've been reading in the forums lately I agree with you about Black Arrow.  Almost all the 2Th miner's I've seen are in the 2000+ watt range. So I am skeptical on how Black Arrow was achieving 50w for 100 GH and 1000 watts for 2TH.

Just looking for the best way to make the most of my income tax refundGrin

Buy btc /end thread

If you're serious about making the most of your income tax return. Dont touch mining hardware because you will never break even.

KNC fucked it up.
Bitmain's successful S1 , will become obsolete with difficulties, soon, coming.
S2 has problems, and no availability.

Only clones of 28nm could be viable solution. LKETC has nice prices with $2850 per Th/s, and always in stock.

I am trying the rest cloners, but no results yet.

All from personal experience.

Where are you seeing legit sellers of LKET for that price?  Thanks!

This is a good program, I'm currently mining with it now.  Please take pool banter to another thread. Argue it out there.  Allow this for configuration's and releases, or things useful to this miner.

Prime GPU please kindly reply to two questions i have:

1) Can i purchase 2 lisences only for my rig and later update to 6 liscense on the same rig?
2) Will an Intel Pentium G3220 Dual-Core Processor 3.0GHz on my ASRock H81 BTC Pro board be able to handle 6 x R9 280x to mine XPM with your miner? and if so, how much you estimate CPD will generate?

Using exact same processor but only 4 cards myself.  Have found 2 blocks in around past 30ish hours I would say.  If you adjust cpu settings you will find your sweet spot with it.

21 hours 4 280x with cpu at 3 (dual core).  Have found 1 10, and 1 block.

Found 1 block in about 18 hours.  Switched to latest version, will see how it goes.  Trying to decide if worth buying a better processor or not for my four cards.  Been crunching lots of numbers.

Using a g3220 (dual core) with 4 280's.  Ran for 10.78 hours with cpu setting of 1 and got 0 of anything.  Went to setting of 3 and have 5 10 chains and 2 blocks in 17.5 hours.

If i change out cpu does it effect hardware id?

Love new version feature of mining time, very nice thank you for easy reporting.   Also with using cpu feature on this version of the server i was able to go from high 300's to about 260's on time on all cards.  Will see how it goes, i like the update.

Been testing found around 2-3 in past 24 hours with 4 280x's.  It's been with old version and dual core intel.  Will try again with new version and report testing.

So far 2 blocks.  Thank you to the team for putting this together and letting me test this.   Its seeming to run good, used the suggested settings.  My cpu is a little weak, but that is my fault.

Will continue to report.
Could you please also report overall running time and the number of cards you're running this thing on?
Thanks in advance.

4 280's and a dual core intel (not expensive).  Overall run-time is more of a guess had some trouble with os and a storm.  Run time somewhere between 16-24 hours.  I will try to get you better figures next report.
