IMO, none of the altcoins are preferable for long-term storage, since they are extremely volatile. IMO, you should not hold any of the alts (perhaps with the exception of Ethereum) for more than 24 months.

OK.. Let me do the math. The world population stands at around 7.5 billion. If crypto-currency becomes a big success, then it can have as much as 2 billion to 3 billion users. And currently we have around 100 million users, which means that there is potential for an increase of at least 20x. So I would say that we are not late, at this point of time.

I was the same, still confused when getting a coin from the bounty campaign (soscamp), I am confused to be sold directly or must be held in order to be expensive coin. but for various reasons, I hold the coins first and then I will sell when the price in the market has gone up.
For how much time you are going to hold your coins? If I were in your place, then I would have sold at least 25% to 50% of the tokens immediately. Because in most cases, the token price dips after listing (there are a few notable exceptions to this).

There are many coins and token in the market but why people buying Ethereum?
Ethereum is the no.2 crypto (in terms of both the market capitalization and the number of users) right now. And a lot many of the users think that it has the potential to overtake Bitcoin to become the no.1 crypto. This is the main reason why there is so much interest for ETH.

Brazil is every time favorite because they have good record in World Cup Matches but we can watch some good underdogs as well because now time is changing very quickly and many teams can give shock to these bigs
There are quite a few underdogs, who can give big shock to the favorites. Belgium is one of such underdogs. Others that come to my mind right now are Colombia, Uruguay, and Croatia.

IPL playoffs are set to happen from 22 May 2018. The first match is SRH and CSK. Today CSK played pretty good destroying the chance of KXIP for the last time this season. For the first playoff I think CSK is going to win. Also I know its too early, but I feel somehow, that CSK and SRH is going to meet in the finals. Lets see what happens.
The format of the play-off matches is quite confusing. First we have a "qualifier" between Sunrisers Hyderabad & Chennai Super Kings. And then we have eliminator between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. So the first semi-final will be between the winners of the qualifier and the losers of the eliminator?

Chennai Super Kings have won their match against Kings XI Punjab. Punjab could manage only a score of 153, with Ngidi picking up 4 wickets. That is a below par score, especially against a strong batting line up like Chennai. Raina made sure that Chennai achieved this score with an over to spare. This win means that Rajasthan Royals are through to the next stage.
Even 153 looked defendable, as the two opening bowlers (Ankit Rajpoot and Mohit Sharma) were on top of their form. But that dropped catch of Raina proved expensive for the KXIP. If that catch was taken, then they would have probably won the match.

I am not sure whether Theymos checks this thread anymore. If he does, then I request him to please evaluate two coins, in which I am about to invest: Cardano and NEO. Also, I want to know whether he is sticking with his score of 4.0 for Monero or not. That coin is not showing much momentum lately.

I would always go for Cardano. I am not a very big fan of Ripple and I am very uncomfortable about its association with the bankers. On top of that, I have a feeling that XRP is much over-priced right now. On the other hand, Cardano has a lot of future growth potential, as its technology is quite solid.

No one could give you a name to invest in, because they can't guarantee a profit range when you follow their tips, they make turn your situation into a big loss, you should relax first, sit on a chair and open your browser, head over to coinmarketcap and start searching coins and making researches about them, that's the one and only method that would help you earn more and more profits.
Coinmarketcap is not the place if you want to learn about the future potential of the cryptos. It will only give you the basics such as market cap, maximum available supply, hardcap, trade volumes.etc. If you want to learn in detail, then your first option should be this forum.

Except Ethereum? From where did you got that idea? I checked the charts for ETH and I could see that the prices for ETH has fallen from $800 to $715 in the short-term and from $1,200 to $715 in the medium term. So my answer is NO. Ethereum is not immune to price dips.

Personally, I think, crypto mining is better than a bounty campaign. Bounty takes a lot of time and does not always make a profit, but in mining, you just put your money in and they make a profit. but it all depends on the amount you want to invest and the mining equipment. How can you say that mining always end up with a profit? I know a few of my friends, who incurred huge losses after trying to mine Bitcoins. The story may be slightly different with altcoin mining, but I don't think that crypto-mining always result in a profit.

6 months? No. It is not normal. Even if they had announced it earlier, such delays are neither acceptable nor ethical. Nowadays a lot of these bounty campaigns are taking the participants for a ride. Experienced members are no longer showing much interest in these campaigns.

I checked it out, there are a lot of coins that don't even have a website,
is anyone here that is part of that websites managment?
Why is their website so badly managed, and how can a new coin get listed? is this website dead?
regards
If the coin is having significant trade volumes, then they will put it in their website. And it doesn't matter whether it is having a website or not. The last time I checked, they had listed more than 1,500 different coins and tokens, out of around 10,000 in existence right now.

Mining is not profitable than bounty campaigns. It will just cosume more time than earning not like on bounty campaigns you will have lots of opportunities to earn a big profit.
How is mining going to consume more time when compared to the bounties? If you have the mining set up in place, then it is not going to waste too much of your time. On the other hand, bounty campaigns require a lot of time and effort.

I want to invest 500$ on altcoin but I really confused on which coin I can invest and my investment will be long term. Please experts help me to choose altcoin to invest.
You can invest in 5 different coins and you can divide the funds equally. My choice would be Ethereum, Cardano, NEO, NEM and IOTA. If you want to take some risk, then you can go for the smaller coins such as Denarius and Bitsend.

During the last few days, I checked dozens of ICOs, which had ended during the past two months. Not a single one got listed in the exchanges at a rate which is above the ICO price. All of them fell by anywhere from 50% to 95% at the time of listing.

There are a few coins which can be considered for investment in 2018. They include EOS, Cardano, IOTA, TRON, NEO and NEM. Out of these coins, I would chose Cardano as it is having the most advanced technology.

Currently we are going through the stabilization phase, as far as the crypto-currencies are concerned. No one knows when the recovery phase will start. It may start in 6 months or it may not happen for the next 3 years. So it is entirely up to your discretion.

It was the beginning of the huge depression. Now everything is going to be stabilized, which is good news for us. And soon it is going to be the time for making the investments.
Yes.. the market seems to have stabilized somewhat. The Bitcoin exchange rates are hovering in the $8,000-10,000 range for the past 1.5 months, and many of the altcoins are showing lower levels of volatility.
