writes a story like this-most journalists actually live for such stories.He take some of John Pfeffer statements,then mentioned Soros and Bill Miller and he has very low quality article in my opinion.Pfeffer admits that chance that his prediction become true is only 1%,but it seems that's enough for journalistic sensations.

I do not think it is impossible at all to reach 20k $,the only problem is how do you define "soon"?

Based on last year BTC has a much better starting point for new ATH this year-as you say it take only 35 days from 5k$ to 20k$ and now we have 7 months by the end of this year and current price above 9k $ level.The real question is whether the last year scenario can be repeated,or people will be a bit more cautious with their money.

I personally expect at least 20k $ by the end of this year,but it is realistic to expect even more.

BoA is closing 3 years old account of some child,but also both accounts of her parents.What is strange in that?This is the internal decision of the bank based on some of their rules or on their stupidity.It is possible that this is about her father management company who invest in crypto,so bank is decide to close all 3 accounts.Since all of this happening in the country of the "free" I am not one bit surprised-they should be happy that some three letter agency did not knock on their door and the social service did not take away the child.

This is likely to happen again,but I hope not to the extent as it was at the end of last year because most of wallets/services now support SeqWit.Of course it will not completely prevent high fees or slower transaction,and as you say people will always search for an alternative coins.

The biggest problem Nano has at the moment is wallets.,Desktop wallet is hard to sync,mobile wallets are still in testing phase and only easy to use is Nano online wallet.But considering how it ended up with Bitgrail,most of users do not like to keep their coins online.Also exchanges have constant problems with deposits/withdraws of Nano-so trading volumes are pretty low.

All this has resulted in very low price-lack of infrastructure does not allow further progress//imagine you have brand new Lamborghini and only a pretty lousy country road to drive,that would not make any sense...

Everyone has the right to their own opinion and it is true that even hardware wallets are not perfect,but in terms of security hardware wallets are undoubtedly above desktop wallets.If you ask why,there is very simple answer-how many cases you know that hardware wallet is hacked and user is lost his coins(excluded wallets bought on E-bay/Amazon...)?And how many cases you can find that users lost coins in desktop wallets?You can find it very easily in hundreds of examples,fake desktop wallets are responsible for millions $ of stolen coins.

There is no 100% safe way to store coins,but every serious user should seek for best solution.

You best chance is to read post 5&8 in this thread and try to recover your seed with posted tools or with method of attempts and mistakes.As you say that maybe you mix some words and not write them in the proper order,so try to switch word 5 with 6 if you have any doubt that this is a problem.

If we assume that these words are correct,but that is incorrect order then try to use that tools to maybe fix your seed,or download Electrum and start to play with words.I say Electrum because it is much easier to enter words there then type it in Ledger.

I think the price you expect is fairly unrealistic,and time when ETH is worth only 30$ is far behind us.You may have noticed that when BTC price is going down usually drag all coins in that direction,so to have 30$ per ETH price of 1 BTC should be very low.Possibility for such a thing always exists,but I think it is less than 5%-although some big negative event like MtGox in past would crush the whole crypto market and maybe then you could buy some cheap coins.

I have another advice for you,try to find some other cheap coin which you think to have the potential to be successful,and invest some money in that project.

I must admit that this kind of French move was a little surprised for me,from 45% to 19% certainly is not a small difference when it comes to paying taxes.They probably estimated that it is better to make this move and collect more tax,then encourage people to not pay tax-45% is too much(some will say that 55% is still good profit...).

Don't USE Ledger Nano S until watch this video. Scam Alert. Part4. Not Genuine Device!

Title of your video is quite exaggerated,why should people stop using Ledger Nano S just because you bought fake one from E-bay?Hardware wallets are the safest way to store coins,although a lot of suspicions have emerged recently especially on the Ledger account.Nothing is 100% safe,so not even hardware wallet is not something you should blindly trust.

Your case just confirmed once more that buying hardware wallets from sites like E-bay,Amazon and similar are not safe,in most cases it is just too much risk for some discount-in the end it still is not worth it.

There are several ways you have lost your BTC,and the one that is most likely is that you download Electrum from fake site.At that time there is many fake Electrum sites shown at the top of search results and if you not careful and check site you got fake Electrum.The only legitimate site for download Electrum BTC is https://electrum.org/#home

Other way is that you have some RAT(remove access trojan) on your device,so hacker is get your private keys/seed.Electrum is completely safe if it is download from official site and if user device is clean from virus/malware.

You still have not answered how you know what is in the box before you opened it?It seems that the sound has not been added to the video after recording.So you open box,see what is inside and then decide to wrap the box again to make unboxing video?

In fact, it is very strange that someone decides to buy such a security-sensitive device from E-bay or Amazon when there are numerous documented examples of "fake" devices in the sense that seed is already generated.The basics of buying over the internet requests from the buyer to investigate all  possibilities of fraud.In this case this was 50% lower price and probably seller which has no positive feedback.

OP say "I never copied or pasted the address, I took a photo of it and copied it correctly (checking 5 times before sending)",and I think this is where is problem came.Even if he say checking 5 times before sending,only one character wrong and this is not identical address.

I had a problem with missing transaction on Ledger app,but it was because I use one of the address from Sign Message option which is not visible to Ledger Bitcoin App,but it was still there and with increase gap address limit in Electrum problem is solved.

It is not possible that address is just disappear like it was never part of that seed...

OP it would be good to post that transaction and photo you take with that specific address.

You can do it today if you have enough BTC,for instance if you live in USA there is some car dealers who will gladly accept your crypto.For Europe it seems to be only one one car dealer in Italy for now,but somehow it seems to me that this information is incorrect.

However it will take some time that payments with cryptocurrency become commonplace practice,maybe in next 5-10 years you will not ask such question

Why did you go to buy such a device from E-bay,when it has been repeatedly warned that only safe way is to buy only directly from the manufacturer?Did you want to make some kind of test to see what will happen or it is just ignorance?

I notice that even before you unpack Ledger,you were completely aware of what was happening and what is in the box,so how is that possible?

Regarding of using that device,I would not use it personally even though it can be reset to factory settings.There is suspicion that the seller has modified the hardware,in short let's say you threw money in the wind.

Governments around the world work on creation of national cryptocurrencies,some have done it a few years ago-some do it now,and some are preparing to do that.This is nothing strange if we take into consideration that money is becoming more and more digital,and with time paper money and coins will become history.But all this crypto supported by the governments is nothing else then regular money in digital way,unlike BTC which is decentralized.

I think we can now say that 17 million of BTC is mined and only 4 million is left,it may seem to much but it is not actually.Even though it will take more then 100 years to all BTC is mined,almost 99% will be mined by the year 2032.It's a big success that we have reached this point,although it may seem unimportant it is something what does not happen every day.It will take around 555 days from now to reach 18 millionBTC mined.

Your old seed should not be used for Bitcoin anymore,you have new one and you use old for claim BitcoinCash.That old seed is only good for claim other Bitcoin related fork coins(at time you have Bitcoin in old wallet), and you can use it to claim BitcoinGold.

There is beta version of BitcoinGold Electrum wallet what would be the easiest way to claim this coin,but it is still in beta version and it is not recommended to use it on mainnet.However you can try it from this link : BitcoinGoldElectrum

It is the same thing like BitcoinCash claim,just use your old seed and wait for wallet to sync.

If you have 24 seed words than you should update to latest firmware because of security vulnerabilities which have been found.Maybe with new firmware your problem can be solved,but I doubt this because of what you wrote.

If address is not show under option "Sign Message", then it is not part of your wallet,and this we can conclude by the fact that you admit you never copy/paste that address which is usual and safe way to do that.You take that address in a photo,and then you typed it manually in the wallet from which you sent BTC to Ledger Nano S.

If this is not a problem with wallet sync or outdated firmware,then problem is that you typed that SegWit address incorrectly.
