1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker v Other casino games online on: August 26, 2017, 07:50:46 PM
We all know how much bitcoin users love dice but I think even poker websites ( bitcoin supporting sites ) also generate same or even more revenue than dice sites . Do you guys play only dice or only poker or both using bitcoins ?
I play casino games using bitcoin, but for poker i use pokerstars.
Why? Because there are lots players and lots tables, if I play cash game I can switch table very easy and find full table at any time, if i want to play sit and go tournament i don't have to wait too long.
So if you find a BTC site like pokerstars ( almost impossible right now Ik ) will you switch from pokerstars to BTC supported poker site ?
Yes, if BTC poker site become popular as pokerstars i will switch to it.
But I don't think this will be possible in near future, cmon we are talking about 16 year old site and over 100K online users.
Maybe they will accept btc one day, who knows
If that happened I will switch too but the possibility of that happening is very low at the moment most casinos that offer poker games do not have too many players, at most a few hundreds.
1442  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 26, 2017, 07:48:32 PM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?

Nope. I dont think so because bitcoin is a digital money and we all know that we are living in the world of reality. We must know that in our life we must rely on our reality not on our digital money. And if you cash bitcoin it will turn ito dollar because they didn't have paper or coins for bitcoin reality. So I think doar will not replaced by bitcoin.

Maybe in the next 20-30 years bitcoin will not replace US Dollar but who knows what happens in the future. If everyone had a mobile device with internet access bitcoin, or maybe other crypto, would be a great way of payment. Right now we are far from that, that's right.
In my own opinion i think it will be a very long journey for bitcoin to replace the dollar. Dollar's been there for as far as we can't remember, and still standing very strong. Maybe someday another crypto currency will rise, maybe stronger than bitcoin  but its impossible to replace the Dollar.
The dollar has been the most dominant fiat in the last century but the american government is taking this as its birthright and if they keep mismanaging their economy then the dollar is not going to keep being the top coin for much longer.
1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: next bitcoin fork in Nov? on: August 26, 2017, 07:37:25 PM
I think you might be referring to Segwit2x, The New York Agreement (NYA).

https://bravenewcoin.com/news/segwit2x-the-new-york-agreement/

Yup that's right, it is going to happen for sure. The fork starts in the first week of November and everyone is waiting for this fork because they think that there will be another dip for bitcoin and everyone might just start investing more into bitcoin. NYA might just create third currency or clone of bitcoin leading to crazy market movements. Let's hope everything happens the same way as it happened with hard fork in august. Fingers crossed and ready to welcome the next fork. Hope it brings us fortune, and a lot of it.
I've read a lot of comments like: gimme more forks, comeon', free coins, etc.. People just don't think it over from a different perspective, because of the fork of August 1st. It was just an easy fork, but price was still volatile. If a new fork comes in November, where 50% will support the old bitcoin, 50% the new coin, what will happen with the price of the real bitcoin?
We need to think it over again in October, at last, to get prepared. Not all forks are so smooth and easy, but we'll see.
Most people are in bitcoin only to earn money, so they do not care if the forks weaken bitcoin as a whole, since a lot of the miners hash power is going to move to this new other coin, they are not even thinking about the fact that even if they got additional coins if the price of bitcoin goes lower they may end up losing money on the process.
1444  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: August 26, 2017, 07:35:03 PM
Bitcoin is the best asset for the future. I think that's one of the reasons people keep bitcoins in the future. Besides the unstable bitcoin price makes one think to keep it. That's just some of the reasons I mentioned. A definite for now bitcoin has become everyone's choice for investment. Because the price of bitcoin is very high. And most importantly you can control your emotions. Because of the panic that we do of course we will do the wrong thing, need a very mature calculation in making decisions.
This simply put the benefits we are going to get with bitcoin are simply too great to not invest money in it and when people finally realize this we are going to earn so much money that is difficult to imagine.
1445  Economy / Speculation / Re: fluctuating btc price on: August 26, 2017, 07:31:44 PM
Price fluctuation is common with bitcoin as well other digital currencies. If there is no fluctuation surely the price might be stable but the same could have not gained such a increased popularity as the present. Also just because of the fluctuating price people are getting into it to gain more profits through different earning sources available.
The fluctuations in price are to be expected especially since bitcoin is such a new project so it is natural that its movements are a lot more pronounced than people are used to.
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: August 25, 2017, 11:29:04 PM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
Of course it is going to happen but I do not care, corruption already happens everywhere it is just the reality of life and you need to accept it and move on, that does not mean you need to corrupt yourself but accept the fact that corruption is inevitable.
1447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do u agree that Bitcoin will go to 500,000$ in 2020 by john Macafee claim ? on: August 25, 2017, 11:20:38 PM
maybe it possible that bitcoin can reach 500.000$ in 2020, if john macafee got more investors to invest in Bitcoin it maybe, but i think it will never happen in 3 years from now.
Nope, it is not a matter of getting more investors is a matter of the whole world economy running through bitcoin and we are not even close of that happening so that price of bitcoin is not going to be seen at the time frame he established.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Help!!! on: August 25, 2017, 11:17:31 PM
Is it possible to earn by playing game ? especially related to bitcoin

Yes it is very possible to earn by playing a game and that is not the only way to earn with with gambling casino's. As a matter of fact you can also invest with them if you don't want to gamble or while you are gambling you can have a decent investment to reputable casino's. But make sure that you have a capital when you gamble / play to generate profit.
Gambling and investing in gambling sites are two completely different ball games but it seems the day where you could invest in a casino are coming to an end since many casinos are now developing their own tokens.
1449  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will it fall? on: August 25, 2017, 11:14:59 PM
It's been on a high lately, and I would've guessed that it would've fell already, but it keeps climbing. When will it fall? When should we sell? Or should we hold through the next fall?
what comes up must come down.

Well, it's nature of bitcoin to grow bigger over time instead of fall down. When will bitcoin fall? it will on November as segwit2x hard fork is scheduled to happen in this fall. Bitcoin may drop a bit or fall hard to $2000, but normally it's should hold at $3000. But if you want, invest right now before segwit reach over $5000, because segwit will be activated soon and huge influx of money into bitcoin from stocks investors.
I think something similar to what happened to bitcoin cash is going to happen, bitcoin is going to go lower in value way sooner than in the anticipated date and then it is going to recover.
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: August 25, 2017, 10:39:08 PM
Because they don't know how to spend money
Lol, but to spend money you do not need anything, but to make money and keep it you need to be smart and get over the fact that there are millions of products and services in which you could spend your money.

I'm not sure that bitcoin will replace Dollar Soon. the government will verify, analyze & discuss hardly with the parlement before take an important decision. cause it effects to the economy, politic of the country.
If bitcoin is going to replace the dollar in the future we cannot expect that it does through the traditional means if bitcoin is going to do that is going to do it forcefully and the government will have no say in it.
1452  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: August 25, 2017, 10:33:59 PM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.
I think that it is best to never get to that situation, since people can do a lot of bad stuff when they are desperate for money, so if you see that you are doing badly economically you need to begin to take measures like saving every single penny that you can, it is difficult but that is the way it is.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker v Other casino games online on: August 25, 2017, 05:43:02 AM
We all know how much bitcoin users love dice but I think even poker websites ( bitcoin supporting sites ) also generate same or even more revenue than dice sites . Do you guys play only dice or only poker or both using bitcoins ?

I don't think poker sites can be a competition to dice sites at all those which are accepting bitcoins. People love playing dice games as it has more risk but more chances of getting a lot of profit at the same time. They (including me) enjoy playing dice and using all the strategies to try their luck every now and then, which i don't think people do a lot on poker sites or maybe it is not possible to apply any strategies in poker (i don't know because i never play poker).
Correct the simple it is the bigger the amount of people that you can reach, poker is a complicated game, that needs a lot of knowledge and skill and not many are willing to make an effort to learn how to play it properly.
1454  Economy / Speculation / Re: fluctuating btc price on: August 25, 2017, 05:38:23 AM
any announcements in the next days that might bring bitcoin price up/down significantly?
Actually, the fluctuating price of bitcoin is very normal and I think no one can predict what will be the price of bitcoin. In addition to that, there are lot of factors why the price of bitcoin was not stable or fluctuating. Lastly, I hope the price of bitcoin will rapidly increase in the near future.

Sometimes fluctuations make you feel bad when the price is gets dump, but the bitcoin price is whenever moving up and trending adoption in the news sites is attraction to the bitcoins in the market. If you have bitcoin or concern the buy, please do that and hold for some years that will take you to next level in your life.

Doesn't seem to be fluctuating very much, or perhaps you're looking at a different set of candlesticks then we are. Because what we're seeing is about a $500 up and down business marker over the past 3 weeks which is not a fluctuation is a standard Market call.  Also I don't see bitcoin falling or even going up much and will move around 3800$ to 4200$ for a month or so.
It seems that the market is waiting, we are getting closer to another great decision in the world of bitcoin, segwit2x hard fork is coming and we are not sure what it is going to happen.
1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: next bitcoin fork in Nov? on: August 25, 2017, 05:34:58 AM
yes another fork is coming . i would assume a massive pump is also coming because of this fork to? increase your bitcoin holdings for more gains in this fork?

https://www.coindesk.com/block-494784-segwit2x-developers-set-date-bitcoin-hard-fork/
It is difficult to know, a few weeks before the august 1 the price dumped and then it went back to normal, I do not know if the price is going to pump because at august one we got segwit activation and now we are not going to get any positive news.
1456  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: August 25, 2017, 05:30:32 AM
Of course bitcoin is better for long-term storage in order to earn as much money as possible at a price increase, but if you really need money, it can also be used for short-term investments.
Its not how long you hold your Bitcoin in order to earn more from your Bitcoin, but it is about what price did you bought your Bitcoin and what price did you sell your Bitcoin. For example Bitcoin 1 week before August 1 dropped at 1800$ but after August 1 the prices skyrocket to above 3000$, did you get what I mean? Prices are more important than how long you are holding it.
But the longer you hold the greater the odds you have to make money anyone that has been holding since one year ago is in profit and the farther you go into the past the greater the profits.
1457  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Story about my life and Bitcoin (ends badly) on: August 24, 2017, 05:45:37 AM
You're basing your argument on the premise that if you had more money, you would be trading better.  The reality is that if you had more money, you would be very emotional because you're terrified of losing large amounts at once or suffering from volatility.  Even if you were not like this, you can't just trade and expect to succeed.  You need to have a clear strategy and actual reasoning behind what you're doing other than the fact that crypto has rose in value in the past.

People do make money from trading but no one makes a "reliable" or "steady" income from crypto trading unless they're a complete whale who has enough power to manipulate the market.

Your parents were wrong about crypto being drug money, and they should not have prevented you from accessing your bank account, but you need to be serious here.  You sound like an extremely cliche teen rebel.
Some people think that getting better equals getting more and that is not the case, it is similar to playing poker if you play well at the 1 dollar stakes you cannot expect to play the same with 100 stake, having so much money riding in a hand is going to make you very nervous and you can make mistakes.
1458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will bitcoincash / BCC price be equal to bitcoin / BTC price? on: August 24, 2017, 05:41:01 AM
Hell no, that is never going to happen if traders want to keep playing with their fake bitcoin they can do it but they cannot force everyone else to recognize bitcoin cash as the real bitcoin.

Partially correct, and I agree that it's difficult to happen.

It would only happen if the bitcoincash / BCC would take over bitcoin and become the main chain. Then the bitcoincash / BCC price would be equal to bitcoin. But it's very difficult.
But that is the issue the only way for that to happen is if bitcoin cash gained the adoption of bitcoin and for that you need the recognition from the users and that is not going to happen.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Help!!! on: August 24, 2017, 05:36:15 AM
Is it possible to earn by playing game ? especially related to bitcoin
It is possible but to be honest you should not expect that to happen, most gamblers are going to lose all their money before they see any profit that is simply the way it is and it is not going to change.

But that's a hard way to make profit, I don't think every gambler would like to loose a series of games before making any profit. Some are lucky spot on and they realize profit from the beginning and the same fate isn't for everyone.
That was exactly my point you are better doing whatever else instead of gambling since winning in gambling has such a low chance of happening and relies in luck alone for it to happen.
1460  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will it fall? on: August 23, 2017, 10:22:54 PM
Its really hard to speculate the price of bitcoin these days due to strong holding bitcoins and they are believe that the price of bitcoin can be increase more soon.. as i can seen there is a competitors that increase its value bitcoin cash is increasing and there is possibility that those who are holding bitcoin may switch into bitcoin cash.. hope that it will not happen because bitcoin cash still not accepted by many merchant unlike bitcoin..
I think the price is going to be stable and it may go up as soon as the lightning network is implemented, let us hope that happens as fast as possible and that it does not gets any delays.
