1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin of the Week Ending Aug 22, 2014 on: August 22, 2014, 07:10:04 PM
It has to be Guldencoin, took top country coin spot, they have added new merchants in the Netherlands every day this week and price went from 72 to 450 peak. People starting to realise it's the real deal.
Latest one they just posted.

unbelievable! Well done... really well done. This coin just keeps getting better.
1443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — Meet our awesome community! on: August 22, 2014, 05:59:22 AM

I have never seen updates so quick for a coin before. Coins in the top 20 you have to wait weeks before you more updates, who isn't excited to see where this coin will be in 6 months from now?

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR MINTPAL OR CRYPTSY... excuse the caps. This coin isn't a coin to be day traded and pumped and dumped imo. It's a value coin that rises with time and best keep it that way.
Bittrex has top security. Richard and Bill are trustworthy guys and run a good operation. The only reason for Cryptsy would be the USD pairings they offering. Just my opinion of course.

Those subway sandwiches must be tasting really good at these prices for those lucky enough to be close to one.

Lovely work on the wallets, so much better then the stock standard design every other coin has. I think Worldcoin is the only other coin with a different looking wallet but this one looks even more polished then there one.  Big Gratz to the dev team!! Not just merchants coming, not just iOS...

I have some news. Have asked a big bitcoin investor to look at nLG. If he likes what he sees will put a few btc towards the coin.
Lame pump attempt...

Not at all, I told him just place a order down and let the ASIC miners dump out at the price he sets. No pump involved. Whether he will invest is another story.

Worst case scenerio is he will at least have merchants to purchase items with NLG even if value drops another 50%, with other coins when value drops 50% you got nothing to use them on.lol
Best case scenerio is he will be able to buy stuff with NLG a lot cheaper then he would currently in the future.

Maybe it's a good idea for someone to write a tutorial on how to trade on exchanges. I'm not a good writer but I'm willing to donate some NLG.

The reason why I think this maybe is a good thing to do is I sometimes see very large buys paying asking price I think this is done by newcomers while if they put up a bid price they save themself lots of BTC and its good for a steady price of NLG cause there always miners selling off some coins.

Here we go.

Wow the support page HAS SO MUCH info now, howcome we not being told about these updates?

Other alt coin prices have been dropping over 300% from a month ago. Blackcoin which is considered one of the better ones has gone from just under 30 000 to under 10 000. Same with many other alts atm. Litecoin down to USD 5.7 from 8 2 weeks ago. For the most part NLG has been very stable. When things turn around later this year it's going to be interesting times!
The fact our hash rate has gone up when NLG price has dropped slightly, shows how bad other coins are doing.

Since I have some bleutrade shares I've been looking into the other coins that are listed on that exchange. No wonder those coins are doing bad. They have NO added value over the fact that you can collect them. This week the following coins were added:
* CzechCrownCoin
* Darkfox
* eUtopium
* HoboNickels
* KeyCoin
* Monacoin
* OrbitCoin
* SonicScrewdriver

I checked the websites/ANN posts of most of them. They list the specs and their fancy name and that's it. No value, info on innovation or niche that it fills, or whatsoever. The funny thing is to read the trollbox, people saying how great an investment *coin is (hoping to pump and dump the coin). These people don't spend money on those coins (get them by trading or so) and people why buy coins, don't buy those. As a result the market "value" drops. I mostly put them on the market for NLG.

Correct me if I'm wrong but with 4.7 million coins mined a day and a steady price between 80 and 100 Sat the value of NLG goes up. In my opinion at least   Grin.

I believe it's 470 000 coins a day. At current prices and if all coins were dumped out it would need about .4 btc to maintain. Very cheap Wink

I know you guys are busy with the iOS Community Funding, but I just wanted to show you something...

Oh wow I see this merchant doesn't even accept bitcoin yet?!?! Another one... I am feeling so thrilled inside now!!!
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — Pay for food, books, websites, tattoo removal and more on: August 08, 2014, 10:18:40 AM
I 'll contribute for 130.000 NLG. So 13 packages.

Is the IOS dev not willing to take a part of the payment in NLG? That would be much quicker.

Nope, I believe the iOS dev gave a 50% discount in euro's though. That should be enough for now Grin

I contacted a iOS dev that I know to confirm if this is a good deal and he said it's exceptionally good considering how in demand iOS devs are currently. So great job to the team for sourcing this out and getting someone to do this.
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — New offline merchant! on: August 04, 2014, 02:13:57 PM
and I thought you guys said you wouldn't be getting more merchants until the end of the year!  Shocked

Great surprise. Keep up the awesome work.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — New website! on: August 04, 2014, 10:33:31 AM
So we will have some other news today, excluding the 2 updates that will still come this week... it might have to do with a new offline merchant and something your girlfriends and wives would love too apparently. Smiley

Awesomesauce!

I'll be waiting  Grin

Keep the merchants coming!! This can only be good for the coin
1458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — New website! on: August 01, 2014, 02:56:42 PM
Dear Buerra, I will ignore the insulting tone you spread. Maybe it's wise to get more information about how crypto currencies work and how YOUR coins are safe. Because you are very active in the merchants area, which is very good and admirable, it would be a bless to realise there is also something as the technical and security side. Whitout proper monitoring we can't garantee the coin is existant tomorrow. And without a coin all your effort seeking merchants is washed down the drain.'At the moment I'm not in the position to create software to monitor the chain. Some people know I'm watching / trading and try to keep this coin healthy and thats enough to say about it.

A lot of people look at the wrong figures my friend, it's about the same as stating that a multimilion company is healty because it's selling multimillions. Selling multimillions is one thing but what matters is whats left after the costs are deducted. So a coin is not healthy when it has a high hashrate, it's healthy when the hasrate is spread amongs as many as possible. A coin is not healthy when the price is steady or rising, nope, it's healthy when there is a constant demand on the buying side.

I didn't mean to be insulting, like I said I appreciate your input. It's just that, even if you don't have time to program something, which is understandable. We all have other things to do as well. But you could mention what you are thinking and what you would make in order to protect it etc. in stead of just saying that it needs protection. That would be way more helpful. That is all Smiley Besides, that entire post wasn't aimed at you, I apologize if you took it all the wrong way. I'm just saying that there are too many people saying things and not doing things.

And yes. Some look at the wrong figures, having a hashrate over 1 GH/s is good but it needs to be spread around a lot more. And we need a constant flow of buyers, but in order to do that we need merchants that accept the coin so people have a reason to buy more and spend it. In stead of just buying it to hold or trade. It's a mixture of things. True that.

So again, I apologize if you took it the wrong way, just speaking my mind as you are Wink

No need to apologize, you're part right about people shouting and doing nothing. But the same as with the misinterpretation of the figures, some people are acting behind the scene so you never know what someone really is or does. A lot of development work is never seen by the users and the same story goes for designing. You as a copywriter are in a lucky position your effort is read and recognized. geert Johan spends days making a program and all you see is the front webpage...
Whats important here is that there are a lot of dedicated people busy in some way to make this coin a succes!

I sure have some idea's about protecting the coin but shouting those idea's out here has no use because we end up in the technical jungle of Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto.

You never know if people are just shouting and doing nothing maybe they speak what's on there mind or try to give ideas to other people no one knows.

THSMINER please do share you insights about how to protect the coin because I'm interested in the technical side of thing's maybe more people do or give a link where to find it.  Wink
and how did you calculate the 58% for our mystery dumper?

I wish I could fast forward time without aging, would love to know where this coin is going to be in 6 months from now.
1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — New website! on: July 31, 2014, 09:07:43 AM

Here is the official Dutch Version: DE ZAAK is subscribed to by 150000 businesses in the Netherlands, so this type of press is excellent for exposing the coin.
http://www.dezaak.nl/guldencoin-mobiel-betalen-met-virtuele-nl-munt-6798973.html

On other news we going to have 2 announcements to make early next week.

The one is going to require community support and we definitely need everyone that supports NLG to please come and check the update.

EDIT: We also almost peaked at 1GH/s earlier by hitting 960 mh/s, as of this post we down to 912 mh/s. https://seeds.guldencoin.com/#/dashboard

I think the coin is ripe for it's breakout moment soon. I am online at least once a day so always looking at the updates here even if I am not posting all the time.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: EXCHANGE SCAMS? DO YOU THINK BITTREX, CRYPTSY AND OTHER EXCHANGE ARE CHEATING ? on: July 28, 2014, 05:12:24 AM
It's amazing how the most honest exchange gets targeted.

Let me give you reasons why.

1. Mintpal volume has gone down by 80%
2. All coins that are only successful on Mintpal will have future volume and price pressure.
3. Bittrex also adds great coins. Do you guys see Guldencoin on Cryptsy or Mintpal?

Guldencoin is simply the best. Just no one knows it yet. Also I don't think Guldencoin is on Mintpal or Cryptsy because no one has asked for it with the team or community. I know there was a push for mintpal votes until it got hacked and then we stopped voting.

They even asked coinwarz to remove the coin off the voting list. Just shows how much concern they have for it.
